“For a town the size of Derby that doesn’t have a lot of Asian options, this is a GREAT place to choose. They have a Chinese, Japanese, and Thai menu. My wife and I have tried a few of their options and we both agree, the sushi here is fantastic. It’s good quality, with a generous amount of seafood meat and little rice. Often times, restaurants try to fool you with affordable sushi by giving you a ton of rice. But here, they hook you up. The wonton soup here is excellent as is mosh of the Chinese dishes we tried. We are excited to try their Thai menu options in the future. Service was absolutely excellent. This place deserves way more dine in business than what they are getting.“

“We have always loved panera. We recently went after a hospital visit, and had probably the best experience ever (and we have been going for like 15 years). We went to the Derby, CT location and we had a server named Marcus. He was incredible. He was so sweet to our 4 year old, he helped work our order to get the best deal and was just generally kind and attentive. We then over heard him helping the guys in the back with pick up orders and he was very knowledgeable and seemed extremely eager to make sure everyone got the correct order. Our food was great and we enjoyed ourselves. We will be back.“

Excellent food, good staff, and the decor is well appointed.

I had the Gun ManDu fried (aka gyoza / pot stickers) and the assorted dishes they bring for appetizers, and the JjajangMyeon (Noodles with Black Soy Bean sauce) for the entree.

With a beer and my wife's dinner of O jing-eo Dolsotbibimbab (Squid Stone Pot Bibimbap) it came to under $50.

We will be returning with friends and family.“

“This review is long over do. This women has been blessed with the gift of baking. She makes things up and it comes to life. I can't go there too much because she has caused my family and I to become addicts. Baby she make a sweet potato cookie. Its not your average cookie plop some dough and bake. It has a buttery sweet crispy outside and in the middle a creamy sweet potato surprise. I have tried a lot of things in this bakery but that cookie is my goto. I dont buy just one. I get one for the car and one for home that I cut in 4s so I can stretch it out. I am currently in cookie rehab right now but I will be relapsing on Tuesday. Go check it out I promise you won't be disappointed. I forgot to tell you the customer service is phenomenal and the staff is amazing I will add pictures when I go back. See you there.“

“We went to Micro Creamery this weekend and it was delightful! The staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the ice cream. Good customer service is hard to find these days! The ice cream was delicious! They had several flavors to choose from. It was hard to decide on just one. The atmosphere is modern and cute! You can take a selfie pic with family and friends by the Ice Ice Baby back drop. Def recommend! We will be back! 😊“

“Great little restaurant, lively and colorful atmosphere. The only change I would make would be to make the pinchos appetizer a main meal with a bigger portion of pinchos and maybe some rice. They were so delicious. Also, the churros did not taste freshly made to order, they were cold and hard. Would not get those again. My plantain crusted cod was cooked perfectly and the coconut lobster sauce was delicious with it. Great menu.“

“My husband surprised me with a dinner gathering at Red Lotus. Immediately upon walking in we were greeted by two staff members and the owner Larry. Gary was our server who I must say was by far the best server we have ever had. Gary and Larry truly made us feel like we were the only ones there (they had a full house) the food was delicious we were a party of 8 and all had different plates none of us were disappointed with our food. The presentation of the plates were beautiful! Larry made sure to come to our table and assure we were satisfied with our food and service took time out to talk with us and build a relationship. “Food was excellent and very healthy. I had the chicken and broccoli combination platter. It was some of the best I ever had. Chicken was nice and tender and very crispy. Broccoli and carrots were very delicious. Definitely will be going back. House of Chao is my new favorite Chinese restaurant. Would recommend to anyone who is passing through the Westville New Haven area and looking for good quality Chinese food ??“

The toast, bacon, homefries, and mist sides are great and for a Saturday morning the vibes and service speed was amazing! The eggs and sausage are average but not bad by any means, and finally for those who like good coffee for cheap, they have a great smooth feeling coffee! Definitely coming back again! “This restaurant has a very nostalgic vibe to it. Minimal decoration and it’s basically come in, eat, and leave. The menu is rather extensive and authentic. The egg roll and general Tsao chicken were amazing, very fresh, tenders and flavorful. The grill was great. The boneless ribs were disappointing and cold. They didn’t serve tea but I think you could buy it. The prices were reasonable. We order a lunch plate and it was $12.00 for a soup, egg roll, entree and choice of rice.the vegetable fried rice was just okay. The wonton broth was very good but the wonton dough was too thick. I do strongly recommend this place.“
