“This spot is the real deal. The food was outstanding, and the chicken parmesan was easily one of the highlights of the meal. Be sure to save room for a scoop of gelato afterward—it’s absolutely delicious. It’s refreshing to find a place that still delivers this level of quality and authenticity these days. “Every Friday after i get my kids from school, we take our family walk over to our favorite deli/snack store. the food cooked to perfection, the service is always heartwarming. As a family man, this is the type of establishment i love to treat my family to. it's worth the time and Money.“

“Randomly stopped here for my mom’s birthday dinner and so glad we did! We were seated immediately, got our drinks pronto and the server made sure to make my mom feel special on her birthday! We ordered the mushroom pasta (truffle butter is divine), the roasted duck and bolognese. Yummy all around. Service is amazing and definitely contributes the most to this 5 star rating! We didn’t check out the rooftop but I heard that’s nice too.“

“During lunch break from having to serve jury duty I found this coffee shop down the street and decided to pop in. The two behind the counter were very friendly and inviting, and the special grilled cheese with tomato or bacon with soup was PERFECT . the chicken corn chowder came out piping hot and didn't even need any salt or pepper. I'm usually skeptical when someone has to make my coffee instead of me doing it, but unlike dunkin donuts the gentleman made it just right! they seem to have a familiar and friendly customer fan base, and I would definitely go back again.“

“Usually their salads are delicious. But today i came by, right when they opened up (prob a mistake) and ordered a crispy chicken salad … My salad was done in about 5 mins …. ( how can chicken be cooked that fast?) Anyway, i tried to eat the salad for dinner. My croutons were stale, the bread was stale and tomatoes along with the cucumbers tasted like theve been sitting out from the night before. I doubt chicken was freshly made. I’m so disappointed. Next time i know not to come right when they open up.“

“Had state street for the first time today after a hockey game. It was super busy but they quickly got us seated nonetheless. The food was SO GOOD. Well worth the price! The siracha maple syrup is FANTASTIC.“
“Everyone warns you the downtown Sweetgreen is slow. I ordered at the kiosk and had a full bowl in hand in under seven minutes, which is faster than I usually find parking on Broadway.
The floor plan reads like a compromised retrofit, the kiosks wedged into a circulation pinch that should bottleneck the lunch crowd. It doesn't. I'm writing this at 12:53 on a Sunday and two of the six window stools sit empty. The kitchen outpaces the layout.
My Hot Honey Chicken bowl, double quinoa and double blackened chicken, is a genuinely protein-dense build. Mustard on the side because I don't trust anyone else to dress it. Tasty. Also very pricey, which is the standing Sweetgreen luxury tax and surprises no one who eats here.
The real find is the seat. The window looks straight across at the stone gothic Yale spent a century perfecting, and the corner is the finest people-watching in New England. Five stars, and a fair amount of the fifth is the view.“

“I really don’t post reviews but this food was soooo good I have to. I’m a woman raised by a Southern Belle who cooked, catered and was well-known in the food arena. I had fried chicken, collard greens and potato salad. Closest meal I’ve ever had to my mother’s cooking. So well cooked. Thank you for a wonderful Sunday dinner. Hats off to the Chef! “One of my top 3 favorite Diners in CT. Grew up in 80-90s going here. Still go back on occasion and it never disappoints. That spinning Desert cabinet was always the favorite of the table!“
