“With the move just down the street, Beanz and Co & The NE pasta co transformed itself to another level. The place is spacious and the atmosphere is friendly and inviting. In addition to the main dining area, There are three separate seating areas: a room with comfy seats for a small group of talkers, a back room for a quieter setting and a third room perfect for a work meeting or small group of friends or couples.

I love the inclusion of staff with challenges, otherwise may not have this positive opportunity. 💜

The catering is great; I’ve taken home a number of delicious family meals.

The restaurants are run by family and friends creating a place like home. They are always nice and friendly.🌹

I can vision this business holding events in the evening, such as family celebrations or book clubs or small bands.

“A very busy,clean, cozy and friendly neighborhood cafe. The figgy sandwich and latte coffee was delicious. The staff was very helpful in recommending our choices. Plenty of various comfortable indoor seating.
Space was shared by an ice cream spot unfortunately not open in the morning. Various merchandise for sale. Atmosphere and patrons were very welcoming.“

Food was superb and a great menu , it will be tough for parking I think because it is in downtown Hartford. “I went in this morning for a pound of medium roast decaf and a quick espresso. They have an excellent interior that was nice to relax in for a few minutes before rushing off. The staff member was also super friendly. Great neighborhood too. They were carrying a limited edition run of a anaerobic process light roast from Rwanda, so I bought a bag out of curiosity. This is currently the best coffee I have ever brewed. It tastes sweet and like apples! I am really glad that they were carrying this today!“

“I’m literally only giving it 5 stars because the old owner Harvey was a good guy and very business savvy. He knew my name and what I always wanted. And he connected with his customers. And that kept a HUGE clientele.

The new owners don’t know my name and are unfriendly. They are not exactly cheap and I still support. It’s a nice spot in town. Residents in West Hartford frequent there. It would be nice for them to be friendly, adaptable, relatable, down to earth and get to know their regulars who support them.

I personally will try to continue to support.

I’m so grateful to my son and his girlfriend for encouraging us to stop in after a UConn game, what a gift that recommendation was. Places like this are rare, and they matter. “First timer here. The atmosphere was awesome. Sat at the bar and watched motoGP. I ordered the brisket egg rolls and they FAR exceeded my expectations. Crispy crunch, sweet, salty, umami. It hit every taste bud on my tongue. My husband got the brisket grilled cheese and it was out of this world good. Perfectly balanced. Not too much bbq sauce, right amount of cheese and a nice crisp bread. The tater tots were perfectly fried and salted. They were so good we didn't even need ketchup. We will for sure be back.“

Short order cook on the grill happens to be the owner. The menu is the stuff diner legends are based on. It has nothing gourmet. It isn't long. There's nothing promising to be a new twist on am ole favorite. It is the old favorite, just the way you fell in love with it: with pork, full fat, salty, and all the calories.
Cute place. Aged and tidy. Pleasant wait staff. Quick and good cook.

They have hosted/catered many events for us and each time our guests are blown away by the delicious food and attention to detail. Theresa is personable and knowledgeable and her daughter is an award winning chef. Whether you have your event on-site or off-site, they will take care of everything from appetizers to desserts. Their in-house baker makes the most delicious cakes that are beautifully decorated. Each time she has exceeded my expectations! You can't go wrong no matter if you just want a delicious Sunday breakfast, Saturday lunch, or elegant event, they have you covered!“

“I stopped in for a tea at Beanz and Co today, I was so excited for the gluten free options. I took the time to walk over to the Pasta company part of the store and took home some of the delicious gluten free options that they had premade. There aren’t many places that have premade gluten free food so I was relieved to know I wouldn’t have to cook for the next few nights. I heated up the bbq pulled pork in the break room at work and had several people ask me what I had for dinner because it smelled so good! Everyone greets you there with warm smiles, it was a great experience and I can’t wait to go back.“

They are the absolute best I needed a last minute and my last minute I mean, same day within three hours sheet cake for an event at my workplace that I thought would be on a different day. I called them told them what I needed and they made it happen. They went above and beyond to make sure it was beautifully done and it tasted of course phenomenal. I can’t thank them enough. “Jersey girl here that stumbled upon this place on my way into Connecticut for my son’s football game yesterday. I think I had one of the best bagel sandwiches I’ve ever had in my life- and I’m certain it was the best jalapeño cheddar bagel of my life. What a gem this find was, too bad I don’t live closer. The customer service was impeccable and the owner or manager (I think) was very gracious to this traveling Jersey girl with the weekend rules! Not to mention, very easy on the eyes 😉 lol.
