“We’ve been coming to Oyster Club since it opened in the early 2010s, and this visit may have been our most memorable yet. This restaurant — and its ownership group — has been the driving force behind the Mystic restaurant renaissance, and they continue to set the standard for excellence.\n\nThe space itself adds so much to the experience. With rough-hewn beams and warm wooden paneling, it feels like a cozy New England barn — inviting, intimate, and perfectly aligned with the farm- and sea-driven menu.\n\nWe began with the beets. Beets! Truly the best we’ve ever tasted. Deep, sweet, earthy, and prepared with such care that you can tell everything is sourced thoughtfully and cooked with intention.\n\nFor entrées, I had the winter flounder with cabbage while my wife had the tagliatelle. Both were outstanding. After my first bite of flounder, I actually closed my eyes just to savor it and try to identify each layer of flavor — everything complemented everything else.\n\nThe service was exceptional. “LOVE THIS BAKERY!! Our first time in Mystic and we stopped in just for a coffee, ended up leaving with half the store! The almond croissant is amazing. The salmon sandwich is a must have, and the coffee is very good. During a road trip we made sure to bookend the trip at Sift. The ordering process is swift and efficient, and staff was friendly and relaxed, even on a very busy Sunday morning. I look forward to coming back very soon! Mystic itself is beautiful but not complete without a stop at Sift.“

“Great little place to grab coffee or a smoothie! We both got coffee! I got the Snickerdoodle hot coffee and my man got the seasonal Christmas campfire hot coffee! Both were really good! Not too sweet and not too strong! Friendly staff and the place was cozy and decorated for the season! They have a visible bathroom behind the counter but when we asked to use it they directed us to the bathrooms next door at the vault store since it was “nicer and more spacious”! We will most likely be back to try the smoothies!“

“We had a two delicious meals. The duck was crisp and not fatty. I had the special with roasted potatoes and spiraled veggies with a delicious sauce. My husband thought his paella was very good. This new restaurant’s staff and owners try very hard to please their customers. We will definitely be back!“

The servers are fast and friendly and the food is GREAT! She chose snow crab legs and black mussels, my boyfriend had a crab cluster combo and I had a sausage boil combo. “Its a binary option; take it or drive around the long way …DUH. The RV ticketing contrast between Cross Sound and Cape May/Lewes is night and day. On Cross Sound, rigs that are 23’ or longer you can only phone order your ticket (and pay double the price). No rhyme or reason why; operator takes the same information and enters it instead of you doing it online. Office hours are yours to guess…not listed. Just remember no guns and shut off your propan.“

I have found one that I like very much, but I have never seen eggs done over easy as fantastic as Jakes are. We were living on Fishers Island for 19 years before we moved back and we would take the ferry as often as we could . Jake and his family are welcoming to all.“

“I ordered my wedding cake from Li's Bakeshop in December of 2023. It was for 60 people and was a two tier chocolate cake with oreo filling and vanilla buttercream frosting. I was able to show the baker a picture of the design I was thinking about in the frosting and asked for a little bit of gold on it as well. The result was even better than me or my husband could've imagined! It was the absolute perfect, sweet ending to our amazing day!! All of our guests couldn't stop telling us it was the best cake they've ever had. We were able to save two slices and they're in the freezer awaiting our first anniversary. We've been long time customers and wouldn't have trusted anyone else to make our cake for us.“

Excellently seasoned batter & tasty flakey fillets. The fries were just the right amount of crispy & the salt & vinegar onion rings were def ride or die! “Black point pizza is always my go to when I want an absolutely amazing pizza. for me I have the cooks keep it in the oven a bit longer so it stands up when you pick it up to eat. the sauce is to die for also. if you like your pizza a little more firm just ask and the cooks are happy to make your food exactly as you like. minor the owner is a stand up guy and really did good with this recipe. the salads and his homemade balsamic dressing is the best I've had from anywhere. if you have not come out to black point you are really missing out. “Ahhh…Niantic. Restaurants here do not need to work hard because Niantic itself is a joyful place. My Chicken Teriyaki dinner ($18) was excellent. Moist chicken, lovely presentation with broccoli florets ringing the chicken, carrot rounds (perfect) under the chicken, just the right amount of sauce and jasmine rice. A small salad with delicious dressing although it had that baffling watery quality and miso soup that was lukewarm preceded the dinner. My companion had the excellent Thai rice with chicken. The high top was wobbly. That’s the worst thing you can say about the experience. So easy to fix. I had the generous ginger martini, my partner enjoyed the Sam seasonal. It being Saturday of the Niantic Light Parade, we had an excellent view of the festivities-hence a 5 star atmosphere. In daylight, from our table, one can see the Niantic Bay. The young host attempted to shim the bottom of the table. Our server was pleasant. The loud blond server was not. It’s been a minute since we’ve visited The Spice Club. It’s worth another trip next time we’re thinking of Asian Fusion or Sushi.“

“I discovered this place when looking for a restaurant with some vegetarian options for a family member after visiting the Book Barn... and now every time I'm in the area, I make a point to stop here to grab food. I live a fair distance away and it's always worth a trip. The staff is friendly and helpful, the food is delicious and decently priced, and the restaurant itself has a cool vibe. The pulled pork gordita and burrito are favorites of mine and my partner. I'd definitely recommend coming on a warm spring day and eating outside (maybe with a book from the Book Barn!).“

“Came in for 2 orders of crazy bread during lunch time. One employee was working very hard to help everyone, prepare orders and check them out. The location is very small as there were 4 customers in the store and it was a tight fit. However, the employee kept it moving and I didn’t wait longer than 5 minutes to receive my order and it was PERFECT! She was happy and knowledgeable and everything I could hope for in a visit! The menus is diverse, and food and drinks are always good and presented professionally. The dining atmosphere is pleasant with table cloths, and low lighting on each table. Plus they have live music on most Fridays from 6-9 pm. Try them out...you won't be disappointed!“
