“I chose Soga because they had Toro on their menu. It was only available in a roll. That roll, while still delicious, did not satisfy my craving for toro or really deliver the same experience. “Hidden in the corner, somewhere in Newington. Tokyo Cafe was a pleasantly delicious and wholesome surprise. My partner and I decided to venture out and try somewhere new and we may have just found our new regular spot.The dining room doesn’t have too much seating (6-8 tables max) and I would definitely consider it an intimate but cozy vibe. We frequent sushi of all calibers, this isn’t meant to be compared to Nobu or other establishments of the sort. It is an excellent neighborhood sushi restaurant.The food was fresh and delectable . My partner really enjoyed the Kani Salad as an appetizer. She said it was unique in taste and refreshing. I had a house salad with ginger dressing and the miso soup which was just what I wanted and what you would expect. We also shared the Pepper Tuna Tataki ??? absolutely delightful. I must mention all from the dressing to the consistency of the kani salad, this wasn’t the generic all you can eat, run of the mill spot.The very nice lady that waited on us was very attentive and put care into her work. The Sushi Itamae delivered with a beautiful presentation and construction of the “Sushi Sashimi Combo 4 Us”. We finished the meal off with some fried ice cream and left happy and full. I would recommend this place and we will be returning.“

“I ordered delivery during lunch time. They have some really great lunch special options, so it seemed like the perfect time to try this place. I ordered the beef negimaki bento box which came with soup, salad, a california roll, rice, and some yakitoried veggies. I was able to add one some tempura for 3 dollars extra and I sure did. Everything was absolutely delicious. It came quickly, and was hot. The tempura (two shrimps, a carrot, and a sweet potato) were crispy, light, and delicious. The salad had the classic carrot ginger dressing I love so much. The negimaki was good, the sauce was not too sweet, and the veggies and california roll all tasted great.I would absolutely order here again, the price was reasonable and the food was delicious.“

“Marissa was a great waitress. She was very on top of making sure everyone was happy with their food. She was patient with me about ordering. I personally am not huge into sushi but my boyfriend is very much a fan of this place's sushi. I really liked the Rock and Roll rolls. Ate about half of it, my poor boyfriend. He also got the Tiger Roll. He enjoyed it. He liked dipping all the rolls into the provided sauce. I got the tempura udon which was really good. The tempura onion rings and broccoli made me think of "onion rings lite". Wasn't greasy at all.Now on to my no-no for the place. The seating arraignment is a little weird. And the green tea (as a green tea snob) was not very good. Maybe it's just that green tea, I don't know.“

“Was here recently on my PTO while staying in Wallingford! Everything was amazing start to finish! You will not be sorry if you eat here! I ate like a Queen! Highly recommend the Mango Delight, it was so amazing! Crab Rangoon was excellent, my Smoked Salmon Roll was wonderful, and the Pho. Let me talk about the Pho. The Beef Pho was so amazing! It was so comforting and wonderful. It felt like home to me. Such a wonderful soup. It does come with big portions so you may have to take it home.
