“Its not as fancy as a lot of other Japanese restaurants but the food is as good or in most cases better than any other Japanese restaurant I've ever been to. Very reasonable prices. Even the quality of their green tea ice cream is superior. The staff is always friendly and ready to please. Plenty of free and convenient parking.“

“Not sure if a new owner took over, but ordered via Uber eats 7/1/2025.

The bowl brings me back memories of when I first had a pokebowl.

The portions were generous, and all the mix-ins and proteins were thoroughly mixed with the sauces instead of the past few times where they just squirted sauces on top.

I would have to say if this is not under ownership, whoever made my bowl around 12:45pm on 7/1/25 should get a well deserved praise.

I have given up on Pokemoto on middletown and decided to order here on a whim but pleasantly surprised the change in quality (for good)

“I’ve come here for years with friends & family, ect, never have had a bad experience. Occasionally it’s a lil loud but that’s to be expected when a restaurant has great food & service, you want those tables packed. The prices are pretty good, the staff is always accommodating, respectful, & friendly, even if you have a to go order or deliver. They’re so helpful & kind, truly one of my favorite spots in CT!“

“I love their bento box. Especially the beef or chicken teriyaki bento box. It comes with delicious teriyaki meat with a bit of vegetables, a side of white rice, shumai, sushi (California roll) with a side of ginger, wasabi, and soy sauce, a side salad, and a bowl of miso soup. You get a little bit of everything, so you definitely can't go wrong with it!
