“The quest for great Chinese food in the Trumbull area has brought me many places! Bridgeport, Monroe, Trumbull, even parts of Fairfield... but my favorite so far, has been Xiang's Kitchen. It was a recommendation from someone in Easton that brought me here! According to them, Xiang's was the best! And I agree.
I'm a simple man when it comes to Chinese food, just some mild General Tso's, some beef lo mein, and steamed dumplings. Its the occasional dinner takeout. Xiang's has a combination plate with fried rice and an egg roll, which is great. It comes so stacked into that container, they couldn't fit anymore in there. I love it! Prices are decent too and the food is great. Definitely recommend!“

“Wow, this is the best Chinese food I have found in the area. Food was hot and fresh and they use quality ingredients. The shrimp stir fried with vegetables in kung pao sauce were really fresh and perfectly cooked and the vegetables were still crispy. The crunchy water chestnuts were a nice touch. They don't use heavy gloopy sauces. The hot and sour soup was also a pleasant surprise. It was perfectly balanced with vinegar and some heat from chilis and had lots of fresh mushrooms and shredded bamboo shoots. Most of their business seems to be take-out. Don't be dissuaded by the appearances from the outside. We tried four different dishes and they were all hits. I will definitely be back!“

Now I have gone to many a chinese restaurants, I am no amateur. I was worried how these would come out because I ordered them 40 min or so before closing. I even grabbed extra soy sauce anticipating them to be dry and juiceless… I could not have been more wrong. The succulent smell of the sweet sauce paired with fried rice made my nose (and tummy) very happy. Not to mention the staff was very polite and friendly. I did not stay, but the interior was quite elegant. It’s not like it was gourmet either. I mean i payed typical tackout price, for a typical takeout combo platter, and they just got it so good. “My fiancé and I loyally order from here when we are craving Chinese food or sushi. Not only does the food always hit the spot, but their service is amazing. When I informed the woman working at the front of my gluten sensitivity, she took time to run through every ingredient and its contents and triple checked there would be no contamination (who knew imitation crab had gluten?). They took my sensitivity very seriously and I’m extremely grateful for that, as this service is rare.

“Great food, friendly staff, pleasant atmosphere. Been here a number of times now and it's consistently great roast pork fried rice! Some places don't put enough vegetable or egg in, this restaurant hits the sweet spot in my opinion. I often take an extra order of it home. There's also a fountain and lots of plants in the eating area, gives a nice ambience.“

My Asian wife and I love the Moo Goo Gia Pan. The Ribs with bone, chicken on a stick, hot and sour soup, fried wontons, spring rolls, chicken wings, French fries for the kids and much more are very consistent and IMO 4.5⭐️

In our opinion Meng Feng is the best we've had in the area. I personally have been going to Meng Feng since 1986 and now the 4th owner. A few times a week is a must.“

“It’s the most wonderful thing I ever tasted, the best Chinese Food spot in CT. When I tasted their Crab Rangoon, it awakened my eyes and gave me the drive and motivation to do stuff again. “I have tried afew places in Seymour. Picked up takeout tonight. General Tsao Chicken and shrimp, fried dumplings, fried rice and an egg roll. Everything was amazing and fresh. “This is hands down the best fast food Chinese restaurant in Bridgeport. My family and I have been loyal customers for almost 20 years. Their boneless chicken, broccoli with brown sauce, and tostones are unbeatable, and the portions you get for the price are unmatched. The staff also speaks Spanish, which is a plus. I highly recommend this spot!

The only downside is that they accept cash only, and the surrounding area can feel a bit sketchy, especially in the evenings/nights. There are often people hanging around outside the entrance, sometimes drinking, smoking, or asking for money. I suggest picking up your food before 8:00 P.M. and, for safety, recommend that women go with someone or have someone else pick up the food for them, especially at night.“

“Nice surprise, did not like it a few years back because of too much oil, salt, and very heavy brown sauce. We decided to give it a chance today, and the food was really good! THE PLACE WAS CLEAN! We ordered vegetable soup which was delicious, clean, and low in salt with lots of veggies inside. Chicken and broccoli were also very good, the rice was well cooked, not sticky, the broccoli was well steamed and true green fresh looking, low brown sauce we asked for was not too salty or heavy. We will try them again for sure! Our only complaint/concern is that the chicken did not look like a real cut of the meat but chopped and formed rubbery meat.“
