“A M A Z I N G!!! The food is absolutely delicious. My husband and I were down this was running errands. I decided to look on yelp and see what's good and what would peak my interest. I love a good empanada. Very small quaint place. No inside seating but on a nice day there was a couple tables outside. I ordered white rice and beans for my husband, who is super finicky. I ordered one shrimp and one chicken empanada, pernil on a roll and mango cheesecake. Delicious! My husband said it's the best rice and beans he's had in a long time. Empanadas full of flavor. I actually don't really love pernil because people cook it so dry. This pernil was so flavorful, moist and juicy. Delicious. The mango cheesecake was just the right sweetness. The sandwich I gave half to my husband so I'd have room for the cheesecake. The owner was so friendly and helpful. Food took about 7 minutes to prepare. If you're in the 5 highly recommend trying it out.“
“This location is great. The girls working here are always friendly and quick at their job. We always come in to get the Sundae Dashers and the staff is NEVER stingy with the toppings. Dairy Queen needs to hire these girls to teach them how to make a damn sundae.Dietary restrictions: They just came out with Oatmilk ice cream, if anyone has a dietary restriction.“
“We love DiSorbo's! Those cannolis that you see were stuffed with care by Steve. We called and asked him if we could do a gender reveal cannoli, and he said absolutely. It was such a fun way to find out ourselves and then to share with our families. This is one of the best cannolis around the rest of the shop always smells good. They also have a truck. You can see at Events or rent. We go there not because it's just close to home, but because it's a really great experience every time.“

Much to my surprise there aren't many places that make this type of dessert. However, Amy reached out to me and ultimately made the most delicious cake ever! “Ok if you’re looking for some bougie patisserie this isn’t it HOWEVER, this place has the character, charm and personal touch that has been all but destroyed in our culture. Andrew is the best. His baked goods are a lost art and so is the feel of his shop. It is as unique and retro as he is and that is a GOOD thing. He’s one of the few left that knows his customers by name as they walk in and strive to make sure everyone is treated well sure he takes weirdly long vacations and leaves hilarious messages on his phone. But that’s the appeal of this bakery. They make Swedish pastries and bread that you can’t find anywhere. But above all it’s Andrew and his family run bakery. If you want Impersonal Dunkin baked goods baked in a factory in who knows where this ain’t it. Bread and Basket is like visiting Main Street USA that my grandparents reminisced about.Give them a try!!!“
“Avventura is back open today!! I went first thing this morning to be one of the first people in the door. I got my usual, Bacon egg and cheese on a spinach wrap. I also got a giant chocolate chip an M&M cookie. It was good to see that familiar faces and I'm glad they still remember my name!“
“I have family in waterbury that we try and visit monthly and this is the first place we stop at each time and believe it or not it is just for the loaves of bread and my brother in law drives all the way from NH to grab just bread for certain occasions.... Amazing place. BTW the desserts are amazing breakfast sandwiches are huge and filling and of course Delicious! My suggestion is go there because there is a lot to choose from and you won't be disappointed.......“

“I have been going on the weekend getting a slice of buttercream cake. Always happy with that. I was in there Sunday morning and decided to ask about the whipped cream slices. I asked Diane, of of the bakers why whipped cream can taste so different from different places. She was very busy, but she took the time to explain it to me. I asked if I could taste the whip cream, she let me. It was so good I picked up a slice with whipped cream. Problem is now I probably will be buying 2 slices when I go, instead of one. They are so nice here. I usually have Elyana waiting on me. Always smiling and so nice. Anyone else never had has been the same.“

“They make the best stuff breads around. They come in in aluminum bag, that you can bake them in. I had most of their breads and they ate all delicious. What I like about them they are full of filling from one edge to the other. You don't have to go to their bakery, instead you could pick them up in you local small market. I get mine fro T&J IGA on North High street, East Haven.“

We were planning our son's first birthday party with an "Under the sea" theme. Well....I went to check things out. Amazing little bakery. I tried their canolis, custard cups and cream puffs before ordering anything! I figured if they were good then I'll order more! They were Delicious!!! Best ever!! Rui was a complete sweetheart and bounced ideas back and forth with us and would be our main contact through the owner. They were so sweet, reliable and made us trust they'd do a great job!! I couldn't have been more happy about our order than I was. Seeing our beautiful cake made me tear up and thr cupcakes to go with it matched perfectly!! We will use this bakery over again and again!
