“Dr. Mike's Ice Cream is BY FAR the best ice cream I have ever had anywhere. No contest. I have been eating it for at least 25 years, and my conviction about this has never wavered. At all. Ever. I moved back to CT from Portland, OR about 2 1/2 years ago (lived there for about 5) and Dr. Mike's was prominent on the list of reasons I moved back. Portland is a food town, and nothing there is in the remote vicinity of Dr. Mike's. Salt and Straw, which has lines of customers around the corner in Portland, is NOTHING compared to Dr. Mike's. I just wish the new owner would pry the original recipe for blueberry ice cream from Robert Allison because Robert Allison changed it a few years before he sold and it is a pale shadow of its former greatness. The original blueberry was maybe the best thing I've ever eaten. But all the core flavors and many of the experimental new flavors are just phenomenal. Best ice cream on the planet.“

“Grassroots had a number of unique flavors that you won't find anywhere. I ended up getting the sampler of 4 flavors. All 4 were wildly different and it sure satisfied my explorer taste buds. I did find some iciness in the ice cream, would prefer them to be more creamier but A+ for bringing the unique flavors to life and the boldness and experimentation.“

“Absolutely love this new ice cream shop (new name same ice cream) that moved into Pawling. Not only are they family owned and operated but everything they do is made naturally only using natural colors!
It’s the cutest little fun ice cream shop serving up ice cream, ice cream flights, sundaes, milkshakes, ice cream sandwiches, stuffed bubble waffles and more!
They even have boozy ice cream (21+ only) and rotating flavors with the ice cream shop being open all year round.
The seasonal cocquito boozy ice cream was DELICIOUS and I can’t wait to get my hands on the nesquik next time they have it. My favorite part about this place is that they make all thei ice cream using plant based colors that come from
butterfly pea powder, spirulina, turmeric, purple sweet potato and beet juice! How cool!
Not only do they keep it fun with colorful flavors but also safe with natural ingredients and that’s a win.

“The food was incredible. The best ice cream I have ever had. The staff were also incredibly nice and sweet, and wasn’t rude at all when we asked for a lot of samples. The lady working at the front was very helpful and very kind. Also, they have a ton of variety, so anyone can enjoy it. Plus, there is a ton of seating, inside or outside. Highly recommend… 10/10“

“This place is amazing, I stopped to get some ice cream for me and my friend and got the best costumer service. it was the best, they always remember know your oder which is surprisingly outstanding for ice cream shops and all the people are so loving and the manager was so kind and caring he greets all the customers with a big smile 😊, very good manager. The team looks like a family all coordinated and caring and surprisingly very quick. The ice cream was good I got a banana split and the flavors were out of this world. Even though I got there after hours they were so loving that they attended me and still gave me the same quick customer service

“Every Thanksgiving, Baskin Robbins offers a festively bizarre ice cream cake shaped like an actual turkey! They start with a giant MOUND of your favorite ice cream flavor, mold it into a turkey shape, cover it in cake frosting, add cones as turkey “legs,” and douse the entire faux bird in caramel praline glaze to give it a fresh out-of-the-ovenesque sheen.
The sheer spectacle and concept of such a cake entrance me every year! I normally resist the temptation to buy one of these magnificent looking dessert creations each holiday season to spare my wallet (and waistline). However, my buddy Rick was kind enough to front the cost of a turkey cake for me to finally try this year…. On one condition 😈… I devour one entire cake in a single sitting. I could not turn down such a awfully generous offer and promptly took him up on his ice cream cake challenge.
I immediately called up Baskin Robbins and asked for a cake filled with with eggnog ice cream for the light “breast meat,” and chocolate peanut butter stuffed in cones for that dark “leg meat” 😂. The Baskin Robbins team took careful note, filled my order precisely, and even had it all ready for me to pick by the end of the day! Huge kudos to the staff at the Patterson location for their impressive speed in “cooking up” this bird the week of Thanksgiving!
I brought it home and let it harden up in my freezer overnight before I giving this turkey cake its final rites. Clocking in at a mere 3.75lb, I was able to ram the whole thing back effortlessly and casually in a quick 10 minutes and ONE second 😆. Despite my rapid gorging, I still savored each and every spoonful that passed my lips.“
