“I have eaten here about 6 times in the last month.For a take out restaurant, the food is fresh and good. The quality was consistent in my experience. Definitely one of the better Chinese take outs I have bought from.

“I came here simply because I Googled Chinese food in Wallingford and looked for the best reviews. Well Diner’s Haven did not disappoint!! The best friend dumplings I have ever had and their Pad Thai was amazing. I’m coming back with my family next time!!“

“Amazing place!!

Went to this place for the first time with my friends, and were originally drawn to the interior decorating. If you look closely, the lights are in the shapes of dumpling steam boxes!! Dumplings are their specialty, and the restaurant even features a look-and-see glass box called the “Bao Lab”, where you can watch, interact with the cooks, and even record the process!!

I ordered the crab rangoons and the brisket ramen, SO DELICIOUS. We also ordered the pork and crab dumplings to share, and you get a box of 6 for $13, which is pretty reasonable! Great staff, very attentive and personable. Our servers were Patrick and Jodie, and they took very good care of us!!

The only complaint I can muster is that the soup was a little cold, but that’s only because they wanted to ensure our food all came out at once!

Great place for a first-try or if you want to try something new, with delicious food, great servers, and a fantastic atmosphere.

“I was very pleased with the food 🥘 it was tasty, fresh, and the delivery service was fast .. I loved everything about it.. the only thing is that the prices were raised more .. I used to pay 18 dollars for a plain fried rice and chicken wing plate and a small beef broccoli and now I’m paying almost 22 bucks for the same order … I was very bummed out about this .. if they keep raising the prices I will definitely switch back to Golden Wok becouse they also have delicious food and prices are a bit more cheap..!“

“Just had dinner at Sakana. The food and drinks are always delicious, fresh, and fast! Our waitresss was also amazing - very thoughtful, anticipating needs without needing to be asked and so kind to our kiddo- even giving some kids chopsticks to take home. “China Garden is my go-to spot for Chinese takeout in Branford! The food is delicious and the portions are huge! As a vegetarian, I love the availability of tofu as a protein option. General Tso’s tofu is my absolute favorite. The staff are very kind and warm too.“

My husband isn't a huge fan of Chinese food but even he loved it! I don't understand the menu and it seems like there are deals but the workers don't tell you what they are. They’re hot and Sour soup is the best I’ve had in the area hands-down however it is very spicy so if you don’t want it spicy, ask them to alter it. “Great prices, generous portions, and amazing flavor!
I highly recommend the spare ribs here. My child always says that the ribs from this restaurant are the best they’ve ever had, and I completely agree. The fried rice and noodles are also excellent—everything we’ve tried has been consistently delicious.
What really made me happy was the service. The woman who takes orders remembered me, and when I made a mistake with my online order, she called to confirm the details. That personal touch truly meant a lot to me and made the experience even better.
We’ll be returning to Korea soon, and I will truly miss this place. I always recommend it to my friends whenever I can.“

“The food was excellent. My wife and I ordered soup dumplings, skewers, fried rice and the claypot tofu.

The skewers were excellent. The lamb had a good level of spice and cuts had a generous mix of rendered fat.

Soup dumplings have been trending lately but this place does a great job— skin is springy, broth inside very rich, and does not taste super doughy like a lot of dumplings in the area.

The clay pot, man, it brought me back to my childhood. It heavily reminded me of what my grandmother used to make me as a kid.

OMG they added new ideas but the vibe is still the same. I love coming home and seeing thing are not so different. So proud of this restaurant and it long years of service. 💜“

There’s a sign on the door that they’re only doing take-out so maybe call ahead if you’re looking for dine-in service.“
