Herb's Country Deli Restaurant is an Amazingly Dope spot that has instantly become a top contender of Top 3 Best Breakfast Spots in the Southeastern CT area! At the same time they have also earned a 'Big Al's 💎 Gem Review'. I walked into a very warm and inviting welcome from the Owner's daughter named Ellen. She was so sweet and even introduced me to her father, Herb's who recently turned 95yrs old about a week ago. I was welcomed by the whole staff and I had such a wonderful server named Dawn! She is truly the Best!! Thank you Dawn! ❤️ I can keep going on and on about how great this spot is so.... Let me continue. The atmosphere is perfect. You get an instant nostalgia experience dining in an amazing family owned restaurant a few tables over from the wonderful man named HERB who started it, now retired, enjoying breakfast with a couple of his family members ❤️ I seriously could not stop smiling the whole time I was there.😁 That was truly one of the best dining experiences I have ever had on my journey thus far. ❤️ Let's move onto the food, I ordered and reviewed a few things: 1. 2 slices of Blue Banana Bread & The Elvis- Banana, Chocolate & Peanut butter (comped to try) 💣 2. Sweet Potatoes Hash $8.95 👍🏾 3. One Blueberry Pancake $6.95 💣 4. Pulled Pork Omelet $18.95 💣 5. Glass of Ice Water 😋 💣 Everything they served me was absolutely delicious and my experience at Herb's Country Deli Restaurant was Perfect in every way. “My husband and I ate at your establishment last night to celebrate our anniversary and my birthday which fall in the same day,while the restaurant is beautiful and the food was superb, my husbands steak came out virtually raw instead so we had to send it back, who on earth would take a $75 dry aged steak that was cut off the bone and cut through the center throw not only the steak but the bone back in the grill and have the nerve ti send it back out ti a customer? The manager was very apologetic and made them cook him another steak but my huge issue is, we went out ti dine together and celebrate milestones, I had to eat alone while he waited and by the time his steak came out the remainder of the sides were stone cold, I feel like at the least something from that meal should have at least been deducted from our almost $200 bill! Thanks ti these circumstances, our anniversary and my birthday dinner were ruined! Thanks again gif ruining what was supposed to have been a memorable evening“

“Ben & Jerry's offers the weirdest flavors of any ice cream parlor I know. Yet, just about everything they fancy up is simply marvelous! Wifey escorted me directly to Ben and Jerry's once she saw it and I knew right away I was in for a sugar high😵💫. Oh well... Let the licking begin. Salted Caramel Blondie for and whatever for her. My cone was stacked so high, I got dizzy just looking at it 🤗. Boom! In a word... Delicious!“

“Love Ballo but really disappointed with how much the menu keeps changing. They charge now for house bread and took off the garlic bread. Got rid of shrimp scampi. Now got rid of chicken francaise which was Amazing there and our go to. Also used to have an amazing cheese and meat platter appetizer and that was removed. Wish some of those would be put back on. With so much change there really isn’t anything appealing to me now. This was our spot for anniversaries, birthdays, and lots of date nights.“

“My wife and I stopped for a couples burgers around midnight after a wedding and had an amazing experience. The service was friendly and fast, food came out (2 potato chip burgers) hot and quickly as well. Super fun sitting at the counter, will be back next time we’re in the area.“
“We had a great meal here on a Saturday afternoon. I made reservations well in advance and I'm glad I did. The food was delicious. I recommend the house bread and the eggplant. There's no kids menu, and the prices are a little steep, but that's to be expected with the location. I'd definitely dine here again. Everyone in my party was happy!“

“Panera Bread in Lisbon is by far the best Panera I’ve ever been to!! The staff is amazing!! They are so friendly and welcoming and have such a great working relationship with each other!! I have so much respect for the managers and how well they run this Cafe!! They all make it a point of calling me by name and I look forward to seeing each and every one of them every time I visit!! You can see by the way they interact with each customer that they truly care about us!!! This cafe is extremely clean, and the food and drinks are always fresh and delicious!!! This is my favorite restaurant, not only because of the exceptional food, but also because of the incredible people who work here!!!“

“Got an ultimate green smoothie. It was so good. Was not super sweet which I loved but if you like yours sweet make sure to add some sort of sweetener. The price was reasonable for the quality you get. Everyone was very nice as well. Definitely going back!“
