The Gravy was fresh and just perfection along with the macaroni similar to what Artie Bucco served at Vesuvio's where the gang would hang out. It's a pride thing. Service was excellent; our waiter was knowledgeable, friendly and not intrusive. Wine list was not large but had good offerings at several price points. Physical environment of the restaurant itself was quite pleasant. An older building on the fringe of Waterbury's downtown. Sadly that downtown has seen better days. Within, the restaurant is extremely pleasant. High tin ceilings; dark wood; interesting chandeliers. A pleasant environment for dining. Overall, a very nice dining experience. All 5 of us agreed we would happily return.“

I ordered the Zuppa di pesce ( one of my favorite hard to find meals ) absolutely everything I was hoping it would be and more . The restaurant itself ain't very fancy but a steady flow of traffic of people picking up and calling in for orders . They are definitely doing something right . “I’ve been a fan and customer of Villarina’s Southbury for many years for far too many reasons to list ... but the most important one is the owners who are family and treat everyone like family!❤️ This is a quick review to say YUMMMM!!! Before the “stay at home” order went into effect, I stocked up on their frozen dinners and lots of pasta sauce. Always love having these in our house and especially so now. We recently tried the frozen linguine w/white clam sauce I had picked up. It was our first time for this dinner and WOW! It was fabulous. My husband says it’s the best he’s ever had. It’s not something I typically eat but loved it. We’ll add it to our list of things to pick-up. Thanks as always!!!“

“I had lost power for 28 hours last week. I called Carlito’s on Friday evening 6/28 after I got my electricity back ?. I had salad, warm
rolls, fried zucchini with marinara sauce, my entree was 2 sautéed soft shell crabs & pasta.
The service was amazing! Food delicious!
I decided I had room for dessert. I sat in the lounge and had a scrumptious chocolate lava cake!!!
I don’t want all of my food delivered at once. At Carlito’s I didn’t feel rushed. Warm rolls and ice water. Appetizer. Salad. Entree. All served after you have finished the previous course. I enjoyed a very relaxed evening!

“my partner and i had our first experience at Italian Al’s today now that they’re in New Milford again and were extremely impressed! they were so kind and generous in every way, including their portions. as soon as we walked up they offered samples that immediately drew us in.everything tasted very authentic and fresh! the fried ravioli was the best we’ve ever had - so crispy, cheesy, and the sauce was delicious. the meatball sub has 3 big meatballs with their sauce, stretchy mozzarella, and fresh shaved cheeses on top. the fried dough was hot, so chewy, and perfectly sweet. last but definitely not least, the freshly filled cannolis were crunchy and just as good or better than any you’d find in the nyc area.“

“We happened to be driving through and stopped for lunch. We were so glad that we did. Great chicken cutlet sandwich. Awesome chicken piccata. But we would come back for the soup alone. The Mona Lisa soup is hands down the best soup I have had out at a restaurant. It’s chicken, rice, spinach, lemon and some magical seasonings..with homemade croutons and sliced lemon on the side. Absolutely delicious. We ordered more to take home. Our server was friendly and helpful and really knew the menu. She was great. We will definitely back.“

“We've been coming here since they opened in Woodbury, and it's safe to say that they're still just as good, if not better. Everything I've ever had here is always hot, fresh, and tasty. If I ever have time, I always try and come in for a slice of Buffalo chicken pizza. It always comes out in a timely manner, and is constantly amazing every time. The owner is extremely friendly, and makes for a great experience everytime. While they may be priced a little higher than some other pizza places, you are absolutely getting what you pay for.“

“We were traveling through the arena on Hwy 84 at 6 am and wanted coffee. Caffe Italia was the only place open so we drove into Waterbury. Winding our way there we almost decided to turn around and then…there it was. This was like walking into a little Italian neighborhood hangout….with EXCELLENT espresso! At 6 am there was a group of local Italians, reading papers, playing cards and generally sharing the days news. It felt like being at home with family. Great atmosphere! Lots of specialty Italian food, cheeses etc. Super nice guy who made our espresso. We would definitely stop in again for more!“
