“Ya know. I'm giving this place 5 stars. It's probably a solid 4.5, but I'm giving it 5 and rounding up versus down. Here are the reasons why:It's super convenient for train goers coming home and want to grab a glass w colleagues. It's easy with kids and food options for family dinners. It's laid back for little wine/cocktail dates with friends. The prices are SO reasonable. Not only that but they give you a nice pour as well. Service is super friendly and attentive. And the food, the food is pretty junk food options BUT it actually taste fresh and good. I loved the chicken empanadas while drinking and also the mozz sticks. I will be coming here a lot especially now that we just moved to OG. Thanks social club!“
“Upscale dining room with comfortable upholster seats and a few private recessed tables behind curtains. Weekends are the only time I can dine out for lunch and it's becoming increasingly difficult to find a restaurant serving a lunch menu on Saturdays. They are either not open for lunch or only serve brunch. Both my friend and I wanted more than eggs and pancakes, so the Townhouse fit our requirement. Also was swayed by the easy commute and free onsite parking which is rare in Greenwich. Service was attentive without being intrusive. For most of our dining we were the only ones in the restaurant until midway through our entrée a table of three entered. Saw wait staff setting up large tables for dinner service. They offer ala care or 2 or 3 course prix fixe menu. For the 2 -course meal the first course offers 2 different salads and the main is either a fish, pasta or steak dish, none of which appealed to us. If you choose the 3-course meal a selection of two desserts is available. We both opted for ala carte. A pasta and a fish dish with us both starting with the Caesar salad. The salad dressing was creamy and tasty. A large focaccia crouton was placed on top of the salad. While the salad was good, I noticed a few leaves that had brown spots down the middle of the leaf. I pushed those aside. Not many but I noticed them. My friend had the Oreccheitte short rib ragu, pancetta, broccoli rabe, grana padana ($29). There was no broccoli rabe in her pasta bowl (zero). She did enjoy her dish. I ordered the miso marinated cod accompanied by several small slices of shiitake, bok choy and shishitos peppers in a soy beurre blanc sauce. I eat a lot of Asian food so was surprised that the sauce tasted more like a Marsala then Asian which would have been my preference given the dishes description. The three pieces of cod were flaky and moist. There were a couple of salads that you could add protein at an additional cost and a burger for $24. Otherwise, in my option the menu swings more to dinner options and pricing. The Cod was $41and Caesar salad was $15 which is the same price as dinner. We enjoyed the ambience and service. The food was good. A menu with more choices or a couple of weekend specials would entice me to return for lunch.“
“I have really loved going there. The only complain would be the side salad. The Caesar dressing is awful and they have no ranch dressing. The steaks are good, but we are from Kansas City, so there's that. The meatloaf and other meals have been very good and we go on a fairly regular basis.“
“I just stopped for lunch. Not from the area and never heard of this place. I work construction all over Connecticut. We were working right down the street. Being pressed for time I decided to stop. I ordered a burger and fries to go. Within 10 minutes I was walking out the door. Food in hand. And I have to say for the same price as a meal deal from McDonald’s I had one of if not the BEST burger ever!! This place is awesome!! I will be back!“
“We stopped by this place for breakfast on the way to Cape Cod. It was a perfect meal - seriously incredible pancakes (get the maple syrup for extra!), crispy homefries, tasty omelette with buttery toast. We loved the pancakes so much that we ordered a second round but with blueberries.“
“Made a reservation here for restaurant week. Apparently didn't need one. The place has its own parking lot with about a dozen spots. We entered the building which took us into the bar, which was bustling. The dining room was quaint, with some really nice booths and a fireplace that should have been lit. Our server was a good looking young man, pleasant, not overbearing with a sense of humor. We opted to include an additional appetizer of baked clams to our meal, along with the crab cake and winter salad, which I forgot to take photos of. My friend opted for the lamb chops while I had the branzino piccata. Yummy, although the menu never stated that the fish was served over a shrimp risotto. (I'm allergic to shrimp). Only 1 bone in the fish, so I was lucky. Our dessert consisted of tiramisu and rainbow cookie cheesecake. I was "fortunate" to get the last piece although not very cheesecake-y. All in all we had a nice dinner and will maybe return for another meal.“
“The service, the atmosphere, and the ambience of this establishment was 5/5. Our waiter paid much attention to our table and guests, making us feel very welcomed. He offered his professional opinion on drinks, specials, dinner options and dessert. The restaurant was extremely busy for a Saturday evening but the staff never missed a beat. They mingled with every table, making sure everything was up to expectations. From appetizers to wine selection, from entrees to dessert, nothing was less than perfect. As for us, we will definitely return! Thank you, Ridges for a lovely evening!“
“My wife and I just moved to downtown Stamford and were looking for a quick breakfast within walking distance from our new apartment. Came across Season's which is a quite small but quaint diner/restaurant. Liz our server was so nice and welcoming. Food was great and will be definitely going back again.“
“This was my first time at Flinders Lane and I had a great experience! My sister and I ordered the burrata and butternut squash to start and it looked like a work of art. I ordered the squid ink carbonara and it was delicious. My sister got the fried chicken sandwich and it was quite tasty. Overall would recommend for a nice place to eat and grab drinks with family or friends!“
“Canoe was a great find! The reviews were right - the food and ambience was perfect. My husband and I sat at the bar and we had a great time! The bartenders were knowledgeable and helped us with the menu. Kept the flow really nicely and we didn't feel rushed or anything. Highly recommend!“
“I recently had the pleasure of dining at Boss Burger in Norwalk, and it was an experience that left a lasting impression. Having lived in lower Fairfield County for over two decades, I can confidently say that Boss Burger has secured its place among the best in the region, thanks to a winning combination of delectable cuisine, inviting atmosphere, and an outstanding staff.Let's start with the star of the show – the burgers. The succulence and flavor of the burger I ordered were unparalleled. Each bite was a savory delight, and the quality of the ingredients was evident. The menu boasted a variety of options, catering to different tastes, but no matter your choice, you're in for a treat. I opted for burger, which was out of this world. To kick off the meal, I took the waitress's recommendation and tried the wings as a starter – a decision I didn't regret. The wings were perfectly cooked, with a crispy exterior and tender, flavorful meat. It set the tone for the evening, and I highly recommend it as a delightful way to begin your Boss Burger experience.Beyond the food, what truly elevated my dining experience was the atmosphere and the exceptional staff. The ambiance at Boss Burger strikes a perfect balance between casual and upscale, making it suitable for various occasions. The restaurant exudes a welcoming vibe that adds to the overall enjoyment. Now, let's talk about the staff, particularly a waitress named Laura or Laurie (my apologies if I misremembered). She was a striking blonde-haired lady who embodied the epitome of politeness and hospitality. From the moment we were seated, she made us feel like valued guests. Her recommendations were spot-on, and her attention to detail was commendable.By the end of the meal, it felt as though Laura or Laurie had become a part of our group. Her genuine warmth and friendly demeanor added an extra layer of enjoyment to the evening. The seamless coordination among the staff contributed to the overall efficiency of the service.Boss Burger in Norwalk has successfully created a dining haven where exceptional food, inviting ambiance, and a remarkable staff converge to deliver an unforgettable experience. I look forward to returning and savoring more of their mouthwatering offerings in the future.“
“Joey's Sports Bar & Grill is the best bar in the New York area. Neighbors, friends, and the community get together, laugh, enjoy themselves, and listen to live music in this warm friendly atmosphere that feels like home. Food is great, drinks are great, and the service is great. Tuesday, Thursday night jams with bands and Fridays, Saturdays bands play. Joey’s has got it going on.“
“ZSTRICT (GolfZon) is truly a hidden gem! The staff has consistently been friendly and helpful, enhancing the overall experience. The golf bays feature innovative movable floors that adjust to mimic the terrain of the course you're playing on, offering an engaging and impressively realistic golfing experience. Additionally, ZSTRICT offers a variety of game types and hosts weekly and monthly tournaments, providing a wonderful opportunity to meet a vibrant community of local golfers. Whether you're picking up a golf club for the first time or you're an experienced player, I highly recommend visiting ZSTRICT. It's a unique experience that shouldn't be missed.“
“I have said it before and I will say it again. Olio is far superior than any other restaurant in the area. Everything from the Octopus and the yucca fries to the chicken parm and the pork chop are some of the best I have ever had. This restaurant always pushes the limits of innovation and always has fresh quality products (including the ingredients) on its menu. What puts this restaurant over the top is the home feel that you get from Steve the owner and chef. From the moment you walk in till the moment you walk out you feel like you are family.Highly highly recommended.“
“This is an update on the review re timing takeout pickups...Kim, the new manager, is doing a spectacular job re-aligning the schedules and adding staff. She made quick work of my refund. Thanks to Kim the service level now approaches the superior food quality of this restaurant.“
“This diner just happened to be close to me when i was hungry. I was blown away with how clean it was and the customer service was amazing! Never once was i looking for a server! I had a breakfast burrito that was really good! I will definitely be back soon!“
“The did was fantastic!! We enjoyed the French onion soup, the hot dog and the smash burger!!-absolutely delicious!! For dessert… wow! The pretzels with chocolate syrup were great! Not too sweet, just right!! And the hot chocolate lava cake was wonderful! A great time to spend with friends!!!“
“This is a local Springdale, favorite, and a tasty little bistro. We love the creativity that the chefs have, and each time we go back we enjoy a different meal. The wait staff is fantastic. if you are on Hope Street and find yourself hungry, stop by have a drink enjoy.“
“Very good quality food for a concession stand style burger sandwich shop. Definitely a huge few steps above your average park/beach stand. Has outdoor chairs with umbrellas and a large playground for kids next to it. Ball fields, tennis courts, the manager is kind and professional. Real bathrooms with running water not a beach cafe by any means! They offer kids meals with whole wheat bread, hummus for vegetarians, avocado to add to sandwiches. The fries are good. Ice cream for kids. Nice family friendly place.Kid-friendliness: Anything for kids here! Whole wheat bread options. Great place and playground and fields on site.“
“Oh my! As an insufferable foodie I was expecting the food to be good but didn’t think it would be SO…. WOW! The lamb ribs are phenomenal the scallops were insanely delicious The pork chop was perfection and the tuna seared to perfection we finished with the chocolate Budino of dreams the entire meal was phenomenal Serious 5 ⭐️ dining“
“Kelly’s has the perfect formula for a hometown local bar. The staff and patrons welcome everybody. No matter how packed it is. The Basar always serves everyone within five minutes. The food is genuinely good and consistent. The atmosphere is always inviting and welcoming. You cannot go wrong going there for a drink or two.“
“We came here for the first time tonight, we've been wanting to come in for a while now. The place, in my opinion, is beautiful! Really quite lovely. However, I am a vegetarian and there was next to nothing, besides salads and pizza to eat. Not even a pasta dish. So that was disappointing. They have a fairly substantial menu, I think they need to adjust it and add some meatless options. My wife had the porkchops and loved them. The service was very good as well. I would return, I just wouldn't go super hungry so that a few sides would do the trick. Lovely ambiance. I recommend overall.“
“Just ate here for the first time tonight after my in laws raved about it (they grew up in Oyster Bay). The food is delicious and the portions are large and reasonably priced. The owner is the sweetest guy. I don't know how he doesn't have people lined up out the door. Definitely a must when in Bayville!“
“We walked in early on a Saturday evening to see if they had a table for 4 (after the restaurant we had originally booked looked grim...) and were immediately greeted with warmth and professionalism. They offered to create a 4 top for us in a quiet corner and whisked us to the table. The service and food that followed were both terrific. A great lesson in hospitality. Make people feel welcome and feed them terrific, straight forward food with attentive but not overbearing service and reasonable prices!“
“We ate here on a whim a few days ago and really enjoyed our experience. The staff was really friendly and accommodating, the food was great and we enjoyed good drinks. It's pretty loud so if you're trying to have intimate conversations, I'd go elsewhere.“
“Came on the recommendation of a friend. Location is definitely unique. The interior almost reminds me of a place in Manhattan, with the vibe and the decor. They seated us quickly and the service was fantastic. Food and drinks were excellent! Swamp juice was definitely worth it! Kids had blackened chicken and Mac and cheese. The Jambalaya was outstanding! We will definitely be returning!“
“My wife and I went out to lunch today in Locust Valley, NY. Last July, the LVI Bistro changed owners. Marcel has owned the restaurant for over 40 years. They had an excellent reputation and their food and serve was always high quality. This was our first visit since the change and we found it was quite good. We sat down in the bar room and was greeted by the new manager, Andrea. He was very nice and gave us their new menus. Everything looked great from the appetizers to the entrees to the desserts. My wife wanted something light, so she ordered a Cesar salad with grilled chicken strips. I ordered a hamburger with fries. Rita, a waitress from the previous owner, chatted with us about the change and was very positive. There is a new chef, who prepares the food and has a quick turnaround. Both our meals were delicious and were served hot. We talked with the manager and he told us they were going to decorate and renovate the formal dining, the upstairs dining area and the bar room area. We were excited that this local restaurant was getting some loving care from the new owners. We enjoyed our lunch time and enjoyed our experience at the LVI Bistro. When we asked for the check, Andrea brought a dish of tiramisu with two spoons. He told us the desserts were all homemade. It was excellent and was a great way to end our meal. This is a new LVI Bistro and they made a great first impression on both of us. If you're in the Locust Valley area please make some time and try the new LVI Bistro. The service, the food and the atmosphere is great for a meal with two or ten people. Travel safely and keep healthy. We wish the new owners much success in the future. Best wishes.“
“Delightful example of where “the locals” eat, and highly recommend to tourists like me who really enjoy getting acquainted with communities that aren’t “touristy”. Marvelous service from Sonia and really really great food at great prices!“
“I decided to stop here with my boyfriend after scouting the area for cute cafes serving fresh food with healthy options. We ended up at Granola Bar and enjoyed a wonderful lunch with our server Alex who was very accommodating and friendly. My boyfriend had the French toast that was so good he ate it right away and we didn't even get a picture of it. I opted for the avocado toast with smoked salmon and the ricotta toast. Both were incredibly fresh, light and delicious! We finished with a latte which was finely crafted with an adorable bear! There were so many other dishes that looked good on the menu being served to other diners so we will definitely be back to try the sandwiches and bowls.“
“Solid 5 star dining! Lovely little diner style building, very affordable and a great selection of food, awesome staff. Highly reccomended and I will absolutely eat there again. We came in with a large group and they managed to accommodate us at short notice.“
“Oh my! As an insufferable foodie I was expecting the food to be good but didn’t think it would be SO…. WOW! “We were running late and when we call they accommodated us. It’s a nice chill diverse spot. I love Norwalk!. Hubby is a chef so I am always looking for a place to impress. This place did it. It’s a decent spot for just about any event. Get the wings, get the burger, get the drinks. My hubby said the linguini and clams were decent. The bread is fresh and delicious. Everything is fresh made. I will return to try more items and try the patio. Thank you for your hospitality. ;)“
“I just went here for a lunch meeting with a colleague. My friend and bartender/beverage director of EastEnd, Tim Bellantoni, told me they have one of the best burgers in Greenwich. He wasn't lying. For a single patty burger it was hearty without being too heavy and a great ratio of meat to bun (Kyle Inserra's words). It almost tasted like an elevated big mac. Love a phenomenal burger in a well furnished bar. It's a must try. Go check them out, Tell'em Mike Sent You.“
“I had a great time until I looked up while eating and saw this old ass blonde Thursday night. Drunk out of her mind looking absolutely disgusting with this equal older chick with these guys. When people are trying to enjoy themselves and this place turns into vulture hour it’s a shame. Clearly they were over 50 what the hell are they doing in there looking like skanks especially the one dressed in black! Whomever that belongs to must be proud!“
“We love this place!!! Not only is the food super fresh, healthy and delicious but the staff is so friendly and welcoming. Whether dining in or having it delivered - we’ve never been disappointed! So happy you are in Stamford!!Dietary restrictions: I’m gluten free and can eat almost everything here.Parking: So easy!“
“This place has consistently been a bedrock of good food and ambiance in Norwalk. Happy to see it's still doing well with all those things that make it great. The food is awesome ?, portion size is good, prices are fair and the table service is excellent.“
“Really great local bar. Great liquor selection as well as beer and other beverage selection they are open till 3 AM and always have great music you can play games at the bar and they have a great selection of things to eat and the kitchen is open super late as well which is really great especially after long concerts at the Capitol theater this is always a great place you don’t have to rush to get out and eat some thing. I 10 towards vegetarian eating so the veggie burger he was excellent as for the fries really top notch.Vegetarian options: Veggie BurgerDietary restrictions: Vegetarian“
“We stopped by here for a quick and casual bite. The place is reminiscent of an old English pub and the setting is comfortable and relaxed. I loved the fireplace in the bar area, which seemed cozy and intimate. I loved that the main dining area was free of TV's! It was very busy on an early Sunday evening with lots of people dining in but also lots of take out. We had perused the online menu before arriving and found the actual menu to be a tad different so be aware. The menu does offer a variety of options for everyone. We ordered the fish and chips and the chili. Our orders arrived in a timely manner. The fish was fresh tasting, flaky, and perfectly battered and fried. The chili was very good, although the cheese was melted on top---much like a French onion soup--which made it hard. I personally would prefer it not that way, but the chili itself had a slightly sweet taste and was enjoyable and so filling. Service was prompt and friendly. We found the prices to be reasonable and the portion sizes great. The parking lot was full so we had to use the adjacent church parking lot-a 1 minute walk-, but that was no problem. I would give this 3.5 stars.“
“August 18, 2022 1st time at Trips and I thought the food was AMAZING , I should have ordered the Prime Rib, after I saw almost every table having it , and seeing friends of mine , their 3 children eating Prime Rib , I definitely know next time , but if you like chicken you won't be disappointed in the chicken francaise and their cheesecake super smooth.“
“I have have been coming here lately for the last 6 months taking my father here for lunch. Cherry Street has been a locals favorite for many years. The food has been consistently great and as advertised. The service is excellent and always makes you feel welcome and like a local. If you are looking for an excellent bar and grill this is the place.“
“Great location in a lively, redeveloped section of Stamford. We had an event with a fixed price menu and each course was amazingly good. Come hungry, because they give you a lot of food. Apps, salad, pasta and main courses were all wonderful. Great service and a great view of the harbor. Not sure if it is open to the public, but if it is, check it out.“
“I have been waiting and waiting for Hubba's to open back up, and then I found this place somehow. I can't tell if it's the same owners and just a new location or what. They have even started taping the dollar bills to the ceiling! But it's the exact same food and the best chili I have ever had. Prices are so reasonable, and service is friendly and fast! Really bare bones, as all others have said, but you come here for the greasy, delish chili, and nothing else matters. Thank you, Texas Chili!“
“White their prices are very hard to swallow, I appreciate the vegan options. This is the only place in the area we can get Impossible burgers and nuggets, so we will continue returning for that reason. The brussels sprouts are to die for. Fries, sweet potato fries, and onion rings are all great as well. Try the aioli!“
“LOVED THE FOOD!! I got a salad here that was very yummy and all the other food was a hit too! Love coming here because the environment is really refreshing. The people working here are always nice and the manager seemed very friendly and down to earth. 10/10“
“Ordered take out. Brisket sandwich was more like a steak sandwich . Mac and cheese was mediocre. The inferno wings were nice and had a good kick. Had me sweating and I love spicy. Definitely would get these wings again. Maybe next I'll dine in.“
“Stopped in randomly - cute spot and super cozy. The server was good, kind and quick staff. Ordered some fries and a cheese quesadilla since it was a quick stop. The quesadilla was simple but well made and super cheesy! The fries were crispy and warm.“
“Our family is traveling to all the states and Connecticut is #50 for me so we needed a quick bite to eat and came here. The staff was amazingly friendly and so kind to make sure we had what we needed. I absolutely loved my spicy chicken salad and my son LOVED the chicken winds. Go here...you won't be disappointed!“
“Literally come with my bf just for their karaoke nights on Thursdays and Sundays with the fabulous DJ Chris and to visit bartenders Jessica and Tommy, the absolute best companions for this bar. Pretty laidback chill spot with pool tables, darts, nice background music and outside tables too. Hopefully the video gives a better glimpse of the bar appearance.Parking: It’s a pretty tight spot for parking. Maybe about 6-8 spots at most. But there’s always sidewalk parking in front of the bar as well as across the street or next to the supermarket.Kid-friendliness: It can be pretty family-friendly for the most part. All the remaining adults arrive after 9/10pm.“
“Stopped in on way to Mass. Can't find good chicken Parmesan in northern Alabama. ?It was on special so it was 1st choice.Terrific, from the sauce to the way the chicken was cooked perfectly. Wife had chicken souvlaki platter. It was all terrific.Would stop again if ever passing by.“
“I came in after a great movie, Dune 2, feeling like a badass Rebecca Ferguson, Jessica the a Benne jesuit. The waitress, Ashley, our waitress got my vibe. She got some great calamari first. The burgers, yum! But Ashley. Ashley makes this place a badass landing spot for 65 year old women who really just want to be seen, heard and respected with a sense of joi devivre.“
