“We have been coming to Imperial Chinese buffet about twice a month for the past several years. The variety and the freshness of the dishes have been consistently outstanding. The sushi and hibachi are also really good. The serving staff is very attentive and pleasant. The cleanliness of this restaurant is also remarkable. “Literally single handedly the best Chinese American food experience in the entire state. The owner/staff are so friendly and hospitable, they are truly an asset to the community. Some places don't put enough vegetable or egg in, this restaurant hits the sweet spot in my opinion. I often take an extra order of it home. “The food soothes the pallet, and the atmosphere is great! The Home made duck sauce was the best I've had, shumai was tender, and crab ragoons were the freshest. The shrimp fried rice and pineapple fried rice are very good. I always keep a look out for who has the best orange chicken, and this place has it. Everything is well kept and clean, as well as the bathrooms. The hostess is exceptionally accommodating.“

“I moved from ny and this is the best Chinese food in Hamden. The owners are so accommodating when I make special requests for my picky toddler. I’m so glad my family found them because I love my weekend Chinese food. I highly recommend them“

“Pros: The boneless spare ribs were one of the best I've had from a Chinese restaurant in the area. The rice had more of a vegetable variety than others in the area.

Cons: The spring rolls are greasy and not filled well.

I'm going to have to try them again before I recommend them to the public.“

“My #1 favorite Chinese restaurants. I love they food. I am very picky and not a big in variety, but my family does. So China house meets it all. I just wish they were open every day. I am addicted to the food, lol. Ordering online for ASAP delivery or schedule delivery is great. Especially, when you can't get there or you want to have your food delivered at scheduled time is awesome. The entire transaction including tip online makes it even easier.“

Most of them, the food is soggy, cold when we get it, not cooked right, etc. Until we found this place. It’s tucked away behind BAR pizza and we never even knew it was there! “The best Golden fingers compared to others, it tastes and looks like actual chicken! Egg rolls and fried rice also always fresh and flavorful!! Staff is always friendly and orders always ready on time! Not my fav style for the crab Rangoon or the boneless spare ribs, but also not bad. “Don’t know why people are leaving reviews like it’s poison food ? it’s salty and slightly greasy which is what I expect from a Chinese food place. Only thing I didn’t like was the egg drop soup it was pretty bland. Did no contact delivery and driver didn’t knock or ring bell or anything so my food sat out there for awhile in the sun before I even knew they had come (at least 15 mins) so that sucks for a 20% tip“

“Wasn't expecting much from this little hole in the wall restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised by how great the food is! The General Tso's chicken wasn't too hot, and was the perfect mixture of spicy and sweet. The crab rangoon was, quite honestly, the best I've ever had. Would definitely recommend this place.“

“We usually order from a chinese takeout near the high school, but sadly it's gone downhill IMO. We ordered a few days ago, I was impressed. Food seemed fresh, thank you Blessings for being generous with the pork in the pork fried rice as well as the pork lo main. I couldnt go all 5 stars only because it wasnt perfect, I honestly didn't care for the broth used in the won ton soup. It tasted like a mix of really strong French onion and beef broth, just not for me. Overall 4.5 stars will definitely order again! Very good!“

“I like it for a Chinese restaurant. The reason why I give it only 4 stars is it is in my opinion what every Chinese restaurant should do. With that being said I will reiterate that I do like their fried chicken and never had a complaint with the food itself. Delivery is a different story but even then it's not horrible.“

“I looked up Chinese restaurants. This was the closest to me and their prices were lower. I was very worried I was looking for trouble by going for the less expensive. Not even close. The food was excellent. The employees were very friendly. Parking is horrific. Location seems to be a scary part of town. That said, there were so many people in the restaurant as well as standing outside, who apparently live in the area. It looks to me the locals all love this place. And, for good reason. Great prices and good food.“

It’s hard to find anything that hasn’t changed so I give the staff/owner much credit for being reliable and managing to keep the same price of admission all these years.
