“We were in CT from SC for a wedding! We went in on Saturday to watch South Carolina Gamecocks football game. The manager and Kasha were awesome! The manager put the game on two of the big TVs in the bar area so that all of us from SC could watch. They were so attentive kind and supportive of the Gamecocks even though we lost. The manager don’t know his name sorry, and Kasha were amazingly kind! We went back Sunday morning for brunch. Food and service were spot on!!! I don’t know that I’ll ever make back to Connecticut, but I highly recommend going to red heat Tavern if you are in that area! Come to SC Red Heat Tavern!!! “This is the BEST late night spot I’ve ever been to! As someone who is gluten and lactose free, finding foods at a restaurant, let alone a bar is usually difficult. I have never been more impressed with a gluten free menu as I was at this location! On top of a gluten free menu, they have a separate dairy free menu! Both menus are HUGE. GF and DF folks know that usually our food choices are slim pickings. NOPE! Not here! I felt extremely included being able to order the same dishes my friends were ordering just tailored to me. SEVERAL GF bread options available! I’ve never seen so many offered!!!! I travelled two hours to celebrate my friend’s birthday here and would gladly travel that distance again and again. Wonderful atmosphere with fun games! Awesome drinks on top of that. Very clean, fairly large bathroom that was well lit and sufficiently stocked with paper products. Wonderful experience!!“

“We were coming back home, wife was abit hungry so we veered off the highway, and traveled into Ellington. We do remember coming here once before, but we don’t remember when. My wife had an apple fashion, and I had the Downeast black cherry cider. My wife ordered the chipotle, chicken wrap, and I had the still house burger with lettuce, tomato and cheese. Good food, abit busy but able to find parking has that more rustic feel inside.“

Several TVs but most of the space is dedicated to a dance floor for live music.The service was ok,the food was above average well made but uninspired. A basic quick bite or stop for a drink that is well priced but simple.“

“Typical bar/restaurant with rustic decor and limited seating. Pizzas are typical New Haven style. The specialty pizzas are unique and tasty. We ordered 3 large, with two of them half-n-half. The waitress made a mistake on one. So, although we agreed to eat it rather than wait for the correct one, it wasn't what we wanted. Not saying it wasn't good, just not what we wanted. No harm, no foul.“

“Bartenders are messy, unorganized, and rude. They have lost bank cards, and given people the wrong cards back. They have no serving strategy to make sure all customers have been served, they kinda just look up and go to whoever happend to be across from them instead of making rounds around the bar. Very unprofessional. 5 stars just so this reaches and maybe makes a difference. Really truly enjoy the place otherwise but these bartenders ain’t it.“

“By far and large the worst chillis location I have ever been to. We have given this location multiple tries and every time we are disappointed. Not once but twice have left without being served after being quoted a 10 minute wait and waiting well over 30 minutes. If you can happen to get sat the food is decent although tonight even the food was cold.“
