“Moby Dick’s is a hidden gem that’s not a secret anymore. I stopped by there today for an early dinner and had the linguine and clams fra diavalo. I love spicy stuff, and it did not disappoint. The food is top notch, friendly service, and a neighborhood environment where I feel welcome. My buddy Jeff is the chef there and just like the West End Bistro days, I keep coming back for more! Check it out if you haven’t already!!“

“This is a great place. The cashier who took my order was very nice. She even brought my order out front to my car when it was ready which was very nice of her. The vibe feels welcoming inside. The scallops are amazing! I always get my mom whole belly clams. You can get the dinner or lunch option.“

“Excellent service, charming outdoor seating. I want to mention the Lobster Roll, slice of lemon was $22. I added fries for $4, I'm not sure about all of you but I haven't walked away with a hot lobster roll for under $27 in a very long time! So price is right. Fries are hot seasoned and I could have shared with a friend or two! Fairly stuffed, medium sized toasted roll. I like it here, I love lobster rolls.“

“We are staying in the hotel here.On our first night staying here on Monday, we just wanted to know we had dinner sorted so we ate here. The food was absolutely delicious. It is a little bit more than we'd normally pay for a meal but well worth it.The quality of the food and the service is second to none.We liked it so much we ate here again tonight.Dietary restrictions: We have our breakfast here every morning whilst we're staying. I need dairy free milk and every morning they get me some. It's no trouble.“

“Turk's Seafood Restaurant is a family-owned seafood restaurant that opened in West Haven, Connecticut in 1939. From the 1870s to 1966, West Haven's shoreline was home to Savin Rock Amusement Park. Often referred to as "Connecticut's Coney Island", the entire Savin Rock area became well-known as a summer resort community complete with amusement rides, hotels, gardens, a fountain, a bandstand, a zoo, horse races, a movie theater, trolley tracks, and plenty of seafood and hotdog restaurants. One of the original seafood restaurants to open during the glory days of Savin Rock was Turk's. Since 1939, they have continuously been serving up fresh seafood dishes, crinkle cut French fries, onion rings, hamburgers, and split hotdogs (locally produced by Hummel Brothers Quality Meat Products in New Haven). Legend has it that 'split frankfurters' were invented at nearby Jimmie's Restaurant because they cooked faster and could quickly be given to trolley passengers who wanted to grab a quick bite before the trolley departed. Various accidental fires, the Great Hurricane of 1938, and the economic and residential development of the 1960s were what caused the decline and closure of Savin Rock. Although the amusements and most of the old restaurants are long gone, Turk's is still serving up quality food all these years later. Since I work in West Haven, I have eaten at Turk's a number of times over the years. I recently stopped in with some co-workers during our lunch break. One of my co-workers ordered a classic split Hummel Hotdog while the other ordered a Grilled Cheese with Tomato and a side of Crinkle Cut Fries. For myself, I went with Fried Clam Strips with a side of Crinkle Cut Fries. They really hit the spot. If you're looking for a nostalgic seafood restaurant experience then look no further than Turk's!“

“Met a friend after work. Doesn't look like much on the outside, but oncr inside, the inside the restaurant is clean and nice looking. The food was fantastic (3 overstuffed fish tacos), drinks were good (Martini and Purple Rain). The waitstaff was swamped, a little chaotic. We ended up with the wrong bill but it was corrected quickly.Parking: Have to go past the restaurant and connect to the shopping Plaza and walk back to the street. I drove around looking for the way out.“

“We were looking for a new spot to order sesame, orange chicken. My eleven-year-old loves sesame / orange chicken, but our normal spot has gotten too spicy for his taste buds. Was looking for some spot in West Haven that delivers, so happy this place still delivered directly from the restaurant. FYI, our regular spot which is Panda House on elm does deliver as well and actually has very delicious food. We've been ordering from there for years and we still love their food. Most other Chinese food spots in wh will tell you to order through ubereats or one of those delivery companies not realizing the hit you take not only for service and delivery being way more expensive, but also the food tend to have higher prices on the site, and you don't get more for your money but way less.King chef food is delicious, fried Chicken tasty not overcooked, the broccoli from chicken and broccoli was delicious and crispy, they're fried rice and orange chicken were delicious as well. The only negative from me personally was the chicken and broccoli could have used more flavor on the chicken. My family of six enjoys Chinese food sometimes, it's in affordable takeout choice for large families. When you have to do delivery through delivery services, it takes away the affordability for normal families. Also, King chef does have more expensive prices than most Chinese food restaurant so you will pay more for your food, but it comes to you looking like you went to a restaurant where you sit down in our waited on, so at least the food looks like the prices they have.“

“First things first, they use hummels so they automatically get a boost for that. The hot dogs are cooked and then deep fried and then the buns are toasted. I don’t think I’ve ever had a bad one in the 3+ decades I’ve been coming here. They’ve got both curly fries and steak fries, pick your poison. I love the chili cheese dog and I love all the options for toppings. I really only have two complaints with this place: 1) only yellow mustard, no spicy brown and 2) it could be a little cheaper BUT they recently introduced a couple of deals that have made the price come down a little bit.“
