“My family and I love to go on random drives each weekend just to explore our state. During those drives we decide to support and eat at local businesses. Today we stopped at McGrane’s, we were greeted and allowed to choose where we wanted to seat upon entering. The breakfast offerings were ample. My wife and I ordered the All American and my daughter the stackable combo. The All American is eggs your way, with meat option, home fries and toast w/ coffee and the stackable comes with eggs and your choice of waffles or pancakes. Everything came out relatively quickly and the portions were great and the food was good. My only problem was with service - maybe because this has a locals only vibe or it could have been just me but the servers came by only once after we were seated from when we originally seated and offered coffee to when we received our food and got a refill. The rest of the time they ignored our table but had gone to other tables multiple times. Towards the end of our breakfast I saw one server cast a side glance to see if we were about done but never asked if we needed a container or the check. We did that ourselves once we got the attention of another server. Overall if you do come and eat here if you are not a local don’t expect friendliness but you will still get a good breakfast.“

“We had a wonderful experience at George’s today. At a party of 6 adults, and 2 toddlers, we were very happy to sit down soon after arriving. We had a knowledgeable waitress who accommodated our special dietary needs. The food was delicious and enjoyed by all of our group. We would highly recommend this super, hometown feel, very professional restaurant for everyone! (And I totally felt comfortable eating their gluten free options)“

That you for the amazing atmosphere that in turn allowed me and my friend to have a fabulous date!!! “I came from New York to check out the new Pet Rainbow bridge which was beautiful !!! I came to Sawyers Restaurant & Bar and sat at the bar with my sister and friend. Our bartender was Katie! She was attentive, sweet and a phenomenal bartender. We need more bartenders like her! Always smiling!!! I 100% recommend! Thank you !“

“Best bar/club in Torrington. The owners and bartenders are super friendly. Hosting events that gather age groups 21/40 years old most nights of the week. Food all night-Has a strong future here for sure. Wishing them much success.“
