We got the red beans and rice, gumbo and tomato soup and we need to try the rest of the menu! My husband and I just got back from New Orleans and my husband was sad because he loved the food so I googled and found this place! The gumbo was literally better than we had down there 😍 SO GOOD. And everyone working when I picked up (one was the owners daughter) were so passionate about how they make everything from scratch and kept giving me samples of everything and telling me their story. It’s a WONDERFUL locally owned place that should be protected at all costs. Cannot recommend enough!“

Ingredients are super fresh and you can tell they have this down to a science because the flavors come together so well and the pizzas cook quick. Also, pizza pies may look small, but they are just right for 1-2 people each, perfectly cooked, not too thin or thick. It is BYOB. My only qualm is that it is a little tight and busy at times it seems (people waiting to sit for their reservation, which can make you feel a little rushed), but it does give it a nice family feel. “Totally disorganized front of the house. Had reservations but was told we had to wait while they “cleared the tables” even though there were many open tables visible and available. Based on the small number of servers visible on the floor it was clear they didn't have enough staff. After waiting for 20 minutes and seeing no visible change in the situation - while the line at the door grew longer - we decided to leave. A shame since we never encountered this before. Went back a couple of weeks later. The problems I complained about have been fixed. Very good experience this time. Always willing to give a second chance. I will be returning!“

“We found this gem of an Italian deli in Ridley Park, less than a mile off the Delaware Expressway.

My husband ordered the “Old World”, a fresh baked roll piled high with meats, cheeses, and Italian spices. I had a sandwich with lightly breaded chicken breast, fresh Mozzarella and roasted red peppers. And yes, it really was that good.

They’re the nicest people. We’ll certainly stop there again, and you should too. You can thank us later.“

It’s also the only place I look forward to hearing the specials and trying various things on the menu. I go there minimum once a week. Of all the times I’ve been I’ve only had 2 incidents where I was not happy with the cut of meat. When I brought the issue to the servers attention, they went above and beyond to make things right. I suggest making reservations because they are pretty busy from those that have also fallen in love with this amazing restaurant. “We just got two large pizzas for our first visit (both were Detroit style - the Motown and the Greektown). For only two people eating, we have almost a whole large pizza of leftovers and let me tell you, I cannot wait to eat them tomorrow. The Motown is the best pepperoni pizza that we have ever had and we are major pizza fans in this family, so that says something! For my Greek fans, I highly recommend that Greektown pizza, so flavorful and don’t even get me started on the crust! 😁“
