The music is amazing, with two dance floors—live music outside and a DJ inside. The drinks are good, and the vibes are incredible. Huge shoutout to DJ Knappy for absolutely killing it! This place gets busy, but it’s definitely worth the $10 cover at night. If you’re looking for a great night out in Dewey, Rusty Rudders is the place to be!“

“Celebrated my daughter’s birthday last night at the restaurant and the dining experience was amazing. A friendly, smiling hostess welcomed us upon entry and seated us immediately. Our waiter immediately came and took our drink order as we reviewed the menu. He delivered our drinks quickly and then took or order. Everything we ordered was on point, flavorful and seasoned appropriately. Oysters Rockefeller was great! The deviled eggs looked like they came out of a magazine, whipped and filled high! The Fat Crab Cakes were insane! Jumbo lump crab with no filler! Stuffed Shrimp were just as good! Highly, highly recommend! Best dining experience I’ve had in a long time!“

“Big Fish Grill is one of our favorites at the beach! The food is always excellent, as it was this time around. The chicken carbonara, surf & turf, and charcoal shrimp were delicious meals that our family enjoyed. In addition to the great food, our service was the best I can remember. Robbin, our server, was attentive to our needs, bringing our daughter extra lemons and getting the kitchen to do her grilled shrimp without the "spices". She was so pleasant and as our daughter stated, "she's the best server ever"! We'd agree. Wonderful spot, wonderful food, wonderful service!“

“We are lifelong Delawareans and come to surfing crab several times a month from march to December. The servers are all fantastic! Sonia (I think is her name) is our favorite. However, the woman who is the hostess when you come in is very rude. It’s puts a damper on an otherwise delightful experience.“

Servers Marsalis and Olivia are awesome. Great service, great recommendations! The restaurant I used to work for in Manhattan could take a page out of their book. Don’t sleep on it. “Yes we did wait on hour for our table but we went at 6:30pm and it’s a small place. We had drinks at the bar and they were delicious! Our waiter Devyn was amazing! He was so friendly and took all of our jokes like a trooper lol. Food was so delicious and we will be definitely go back on our next visit to Bethany Beach!!“

“Salads were good. Waitress was great, hostess was nasty. Shrimp was just okay, but the lobster roll turned me off of lobster rolls for a while. Had a fishier taste than fish! Tasted nothing like lobster, and served with that nasty warm oil, not butter.“

“Simple three person birthday dinner. Cocktails were good but a bit small in size, Maryland Crab soup was really tasty as was the crab cake sandwich. Dessert was also good Smth Island Coconut cake and a creamy cheesecake. Server was wonderful: friendly and efficient.“

My favorite is the Thai Chili Shrimp Taco, I can't order tacos from anywhere else. They truly have spoiled me. The owners are wonderful people and talented chefs! I purposely drive to Rehoboth to do my grocery shopping so I can order dinner once a week from First State!!! It is a must Go-To!!!“

“Amazing clam bake. So fresh and quite an abundance of food. Exceeded my expectations!
The shrimp was super large and cooked just right. Lobster a little tough but since I was late to pick up my hot order, it probably was a little overdone from that.
I worked with Evin after I placed my order with someone (forgive me… I don’t recall her name😔). Great communication with both. Upon pick up, Evin was there to help me through a lil bump and was beyond friendly and such a pleasant person all around. 🙌🏼

“My husband and I came here for a date night on Friday of seawitch weekend and it was AMAZING. Our server was soooo attentive and sweet. She also never ever made us feel rushed, she spent time answering all of our menu questions and chatting with us even though the restaurant was busy- she was able to be attentive to all her tables while still making us feel like she had time for us (I wish I could remember her name- you know who you are though!! You told me the story about the walnuts in the pesto situation ?) oh and the food. SO GOOD. She told us it's a "from scratch" kitchen and although we didn't have a long wait for our food, even if we did it would have been worth it. We had Moscow mules also which were delish. Definitely try this new place out!“
