“Husband and I had a wonderful dinner celebrating our birthdays at Shorebreak Lodge Restaurant this weekend. The restaurant decor is sophisticated and the seating is super comfortable. The owners Ben and Diane go over and above to make sure that you are comfortable and happy. Their craft cocktails are the best! Always wanted to try octopus and this dish did not disappoint. Everything from appetizers to dinner was so delicious. Everyone we have recommended the restaurant to has gone there for dinner and they always tell us how great their experience was. We believe this restaurant to be one of the best restaurants in Sussex County Delaware. We highly recommend.“

“Simple three person birthday dinner. Cocktails were good but a bit small in size, Maryland Crab soup was really tasty as was the crab cake sandwich. Dessert was also good Smth Island Coconut cake and a creamy cheesecake. Server was wonderful: friendly and efficient.“

“Flavors, textures, cooking technique better than a 5 Star restaurant. Everything on the menu is Amazing. Their homemade sauces are like nothing I have ever tasted before and I am quite the Foodie! My favorite is the Thai Chili Shrimp Taco, I can't order tacos from anywhere else. They truly have spoiled me. The owners are wonderful people and talented chefs! I purposely drive to Rehoboth to do my grocery shopping so I can order dinner once a week from First State!!! It is a must Go-To!!!“

“My husband and I came here for a date night on Friday of seawitch weekend and it was AMAZING. Our server was soooo attentive and sweet. She also never ever made us feel rushed, she spent time answering all of our menu questions and chatting with us even though the restaurant was busy- she was able to be attentive to all her tables while still making us feel like she had time for us (I wish I could remember her name- you know who you are though!! You told me the story about the walnuts in the pesto situation ?) oh and the food. SO GOOD. She told us it's a "from scratch" kitchen and although we didn't have a long wait for our food, even if we did it would have been worth it. We had Moscow mules also which were delish. Definitely try this new place out!“

“Visited Rehoboth Beach for the first time this past weekend with a group of friends. There were 8 of us and we're all picky (well... specific lol :) eaters. Found this spot on Google, ordered dinner for everyone, and picked up.

The food was outstanding. There wasn't a single complaint from anyone. We ordered a ton of food including shrimp fried rice, house fried rice, young chow fried rice, chicken with broccoli, crispy sesame chicken, wonton soup, and lots of egg rolls. Large portion sizes and fresh quality. The young woman who took my order was very pleasant and didn't miss a detail for any specific entree. One of the ladies provided us with some almond cookies as well.

Next time I'm in Rehoboth Beach, I'll be stopping by again.“
