“I wasn't sure about this place based on some of the reviews, but the wife wanted seafood and it was close. So glad I went! The Key West shrimp were amazing! And the crab stuffed mushrooms couldn't fit any more crab! The price per portion was perfect.“

“We were drawn to this place because it seemed like a “real” restaurant rather a showplace for the latest trends. And it’s true! There are no “apps” here, and no “handhelds.”” It’s not fancy in the least, though the atmosphere is colorful and relaxing. The food’s not fancy either; instead, it’s simple, extremely plentiful and delicious. It was refreshing to be there!“

“Excellent experience. Arrived between servings so grabbed takeout for the deck. Space is lovely and scenic. Nice views of the boats and birds without being too windy bc the buildings and boats shield the deck. Clams, broiled lobster combo, fish sandwich, kids chicken, all exceptional. Def will go back. Grabbed soups to go on way out and can’t wait to try them.“

“My girlfriend and I got the lobster rolls and chips. The extra lobster in the lobster rolls adds more to the already fresh tasting lobster. We were provided lemons to squeeze on to the lobster and the toasted buttery bun was very good. All of it was delicious and we plan to come back for sure. Definitely recommend while you’re in Cape May.“

“Wish I could go back to the days when "Old Man Menz" and his daughter would serve us his fabulous meals and chat with us. What a family! We ate there soooooo many times and my family just loved it. We went there in the early 70's and 80's . What a place......it was a real experience. THANK YOU, MR. MENZ. You were so special!“

“I have used Lucky Bones’s Eric three times in the last five years for catering parties at my home/in my yard. Twice I also booked waitresses with my party. The food is always delicious, the service reliable. We ran out of chicken tenders for the kids once and they brought over a new batch! Everything is set up as ordered and arrives on time. You can’t go wrong with them for your party. My father’s small after-funeral reception was in their back room and my husband and I eat at the restaurant at least once a month. Highly recommend.“

“Historic establishment with a great bar and friendly locals vibe. Just had drinks with a salad for 2 and the best clam chowder. I especially liked this chowder because the white sauce was very smooth and rich without being starchy. They obviously used cream and not just corn starch as a thickening agent. So not just a bar but some real ‘cheffing’ going on. Good for them.“

“Fresh and interesting menu. Everything we had was perfect. Smoked salmon and noodle aps were both great starters to share. Scallops, crab cakes, swordfish entrees were delicious. “We’ve been waiting a long time to try this “hidden gem” although it’s not so hidden anymore as Philly Inky’s Craig Laban named it one of 20 places for seafood down the Jersey Shore this month. My wife had the famous scallops and thought they were delicious, reminded her of classic, fresh taste of the shore scallops from youth. My burger was good. Fries were tasty. Drinks were proper. Service was attentive. The scallops alone are reason to return.“

“Picked it because of the name TBH. We just recently lost our own Dave to cancer and I thought it would be cool. The worker at the counter was a sweetheart, even checking on us while we ate outside. “Relaxing Dinner on a Summer Evening Delicious dining outside or inside. At our table, we enjoyed the escargots, duck à l'orange, the halibut special, crème brûlée and the fruit tarte. All were wonderful. Service was impeccable. We will definitely be back!“

The highlight was talking to Joe and his wife. He is surrounded by his family and it shows that he is proud that they are all working together and serving a great product. “I grew up near the Chesapeake Bay and can tell you that Canal Side does crabs right. Their own seasoning blend is very good and they sell bags of it. The local crabs are just a bit smaller on average than Chesapeake crabs but that's ok, their flavor is great! 🦀“

“Great customer service first of all and let me tell you about the food! The Maryland crab soup is flavorful and delicious, you know your eating crab soup. And next stuffed shrimp w/ crab imperial and stuffed mushrooms are great tasting. Also bacon wrapped scallops are a hit, try w/ sweet chili sauce. The lobster roll sandwich is made to perfection. Delicious!And to top it all off key lime pie & peanut butter cake were fantastic.“

“We recently hosted a luncheon at The Wharf in Wildwood, and the experience was exceptional from start to finish. The team provided an outstanding setting, ensuring that our event ran seamlessly with great hospitality and delicious cuisine. It was great to have Mickey and the crew handle all the details of the event so the guests could enjoy themselves and it was exceptionally nice because this was in the offseason. I would absolutely have another event there in the future during the summer or during the fringe seasons based on this experience.“
