“When I am at the shore and I think seafood, I think Back Bay Seafood. Honestly, best crab cakes I ever had. And let’s not forget the broiled scallops, and stuffed shrimp, and the list goes on! Amazing food, high quality, and excellent customer service. Not to mention, family-owned business that appreciates their customers and are dedicated to providing quality meals, the kind you eat with your friends and family and make those down-the-shore memories. Can’t say enough good things about Back Bay, except I’ll be back real soon!“

“WoW WoW WoW ! Today was my first time dining here and it certainly won’t be my last. Everything was incredible. Shrimp tempura for a starter and it was outstanding. The salmon dish was out of this world and like no other salmon entrée I have ever had. You will not be disappointed and the service was top notch! Well Done jays on third“

“Absolutely divine and nostalgic

Before I begin, finding the actual entrance to the restaurant was quite confusing. Our shuttle driver just dropped us off at the entrance but once you go through the doors there’s a few other doors and no one was really there to greet the group or direct us where to go. We came later than anticipated (about an hour before closing).

There was no wait, we got a table by the window with a view of the dock. It was very ambient in the restaurant and it’s quite a large place. Our waitress was really kind and informative. I was quite impressed that the prices were reasonable for the fresh seafood. I ordered the special they had of the day and all the food (dinner entrees) came with complimentary bread for the table, side salad, and two sides to go with your meal. It was so good!

I’ve never had grilled tuna but it was absolutely delicious 🤤 the mashed potatoes were to die for too.

With all the food you won’t go hungry, I had to box up the little bit I had left to take home.“

“The best dinner I've ever had! The Grilled Octopus was amazing, the Caesar Salad was awesome...the Scallops were delicious...but the Ricotta, Honey, Almond and Nutella Torte was out of this world! Amy was the best waitress, her attentiveness and service were stellar! We cannot wait to go back!“

“We were down the past couple of weekends in North Wildwood, stopped at one of our favorites and got great-sized Maryland crabs the one weekend and, then, last night some clams & lobster tails. Always a pleasure seeing the staff. Always fast & friendly“

“The wife and I were out and about and decided to try the Waterside location in Lakewood Ranch Fl. I have to say im a bit of a critic because we have family in Maine and have tasted all ends of the spectrum of lobster rolls from amazing to terrible and this place makes a great Lobster rolls with a spot on price comparable to Maine and other restaurants in the area. The staff member we dealt with was super nice I wish I would have got his name, but I do know he was from Jersey and had great knowledge knew the product well. We had 2 Connecticut rolls and they were great. I would say this place is worth checking out. Theres only outdoor seating, but you can easily walk around waterside and find a spot to kick back and enjoy or walk out enjoy their outdoor seating and it will complement their lobster rolls very well. They also have nice little selection of beers/beverages and a whole N/A fridge too.“

“Stopped by to pick up some shrimp for my first attempt at a seafood boil and this place had everything super fresh and the price was lower than we expected for Jersey Shore. Ended up getting 4 pounds of peeled shrimp, 2 bags of crab legs/claws and fried flounder sandwiches that were also delicious. Our boil turned out amazing all of our guests raved about it. Could have even gotten all of our produce here if we wanted to they had everything.“

“Wish I could go back to the days when "Old Man Menz" and his daughter would serve us his fabulous meals and chat with us. What a family! We ate there soooooo many times and my family just loved it. We went there in the early 70's and 80's . What a place......it was a real experience. THANK YOU, MR. MENZ. You were so special!“

“Worst experience of my life! I had my micro wedding here and was charged for things I didn't get. No drinks were verbally offered they just had a separate table with pitchers of water on it. We paid $100 extra to have a table set up with lemonade and or iced tea pre ceremony. I was supposed to be able to set up my wedding favors on this table as well. The seafood dish was supposed to have scallops in it and we noticed they omitted them. In the private beach area where we were supposed to have our ceremony they had an event going on up to 15 minutes before my ceremony. They had picnic tables alongside the ceremony just overlaping and pushed against the fence I had to ask them to move so they would not be in my pictures. I had barely any time to set up decorations. The air-conditioning was broke supposedly in the whole restaurant they could not even provide fans so my guests were very hot and uncomfortable. The upstairs was supposed to be our rain plan but we asked if we could have everything up there and the GM would not allow us to move to the upstairs that was air-conditioned and not being used but I was allowed to change into my dress upstairs. We were told it cost more to have it upstairs. I felt like considering the air conditioner not working they should have moved us. Honestly I could go on and on but I'm too exhausted! I felt like I missed out on a lot of photo opportunities and moments bc of how hot and uncomfortable everyone was!“

“our server, jennifer, was so friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, efficient and one of the best servers i ever had. Sean, the manager and sommelier was so knowledgeable about wine and gave us great a recommendation on an exquisite bottle of wine, which paired perfectly with our dinner. this restaurant surpassed our expectations“

“We've ordered 'Build Your Own Pot' twice from Topsail, OC. All fresh seafood...lobster, scallops, shrimp and crab. We highly recommend. It was so easy to steam on the stovetop! We grilled steaks and had a DELICIOUS dinner for eight at our shore house. We will be ordering again for this 4th of July!“

“Great food and beautiful sunsets“

“Well, this summer we decided to take a trip to Wildwood. We did some research regarding places to stay and of course restaurants. Well, we found a very nice motel. Well anyway, one morning we went out to one of the recommended restaurants, and happened to notice this restaurant across the street called pasta pesto. We noticed there was some signage outside regarding Tuesday night martinis special Thursday night prime rib special so we decided to venture there on Tuesday night. Well first of all the surroundings were very inviting along with a very relaxing atmosphere. So we had the martinis specials, which were very cheap and actually very very good. The service was awesome and we met the one lady there named Peg who is very very nice. Well, then, we decided to go back Thursday night for prime rib night. He had the prime rib, which was more then he even expected and I had the ravioli with meatballs. Both dishes were very, very good again. The service was excellent. The atmosphere was very relaxing plus it was very busy that Thursday night, which I’m not surprised. So I would highly recommend this restaurant if you are in the Wildwood area. We definitely would go there again for dinner. Unfortunately, I only took a few pictures, and hopefully it captured the relaxing atmosphere of this establishment.“

“I stick to two items that never disappoint: the French Onion soup served in a crock and the hot roast beef w/horseradish and au jus for dipping. The onions are caramelized perfectly so they don't get mushy. The roast beef is lean, tender, and flavorful and the fresh horseradish gives plenty of bite. Hasn't changed in 20+ years; comfort food that spans the generation!“

“Really good kid friendly place to eat and get some seafood on the boardwalk. The lobster roll and the fried shrimp both were great. I like that they have a to go counter for a quick bite as well as sit down option for dinner. We will definitely eat here again.“

“Hi I want to sing my praises to two of your waitresses that went above and beyond during our meals while vacationing in Wild Woods. Our first Experience and 2nd we had the pleasure of having “Niki” and truly we could not ask for better service than she offered,her tone,her understanding and the way she treated my toddler is immeasurable and the small details that were paid attention to were not found in other establishments we tried. I hope she knows how valued and appreciated she is by our family! We stopped in for one last meal before heading back to MD and we were cared for. A waitress I don’t re call a name but long curly hair,and a smile that lit up a room and was welcoming,her table side manner was fantastic she joked with us and also treated my daughter remarkably well where again other establishments frowned upon her questions or acted as she wasn’t talking. Furthermore,Noticing the whole atmosphere was a fantastic vibe, Everyone was smiling and working as a team. Can’t wait to return !“

The atmosphere is beautiful, with stunning marina views and a relaxing coastal vibe. The food was fresh and delicious, the drinks were excellent, and everything was presented beautifully. A special thank you to Ava, who provided attentive, friendly service from start to finish. She made us feel welcome and checked on us just the right amount, making for a wonderful dining experience. “I didn’t get any pics i am so sad about that! First i would like to start off that JoJo was an amazing server. The clams were delicious. We ordered calamari which was extra crispy! My husband had the fried flounder, my daughter had the lobster roll and my son had the lobster grilled cheese. The lobster was delightful but the grilled cheese was outstanding. I had the homemade crabcake! Wow! So Good !!“

The highlight was talking to Joe and his wife. He is surrounded by his family and it shows that he is proud that they are all working together and serving a great product. “This was my husband and I’s first time here and we can’t say enough about our experience! Welcomed warmly upon our arrival in to a homey friendly environment! The food was amazing!!!! Can’t recommend enough! The arancini, meatballs, Chicken Angelina and Chicken Parmigiana were old school Italian…reminders of my husband’s grandmothers cooking! Our waitress Tricia was lovely and accommodating! Celebrating our anniversary here was a pleasure and we look forward to our next visit! Go see Joey and his staff, you won’t regret it!“

“I grew up near the Chesapeake Bay and can tell you that Canal Side does crabs right. Their own seasoning blend is very good and they sell bags of it. The local crabs are just a bit smaller on average than Chesapeake crabs but that's ok, their flavor is great! 🦀“
