Chocolate croissant was delightful but would have benefitted from being warmed. We had a pair of cappuccinos that arrived lukewarm and a drip coffee that was perfect. Space is wide open and on the communal side, a bit echo-ey making conversations hard to hear. Service was excellent.“

“We stumbled on this place last night because we needed to go somewhere to wait for my daughter to get out of a concert. Not wanting a bar or restaurant, we found this coffee shop that was open to 1am. When we pulled up, I immediately felt like I was in Europe. Men sitting outside at tables drinking coffee and talking. When I walked inside and saw the menu, it brought me back to Bosnia and Herzegovina where the drink prices were under $3 for drinks! We asked the owner where he from and learned that he was from Sarajevo, Bosnia. He had been to Medjugorje so we talked about that for a few minutes. I got 2 large hot chai lattes and a big muffin for under $10. The atmosphere was great with lots of college aged students as well as old people my age 😂. There was music outside and art inside. This was the best vibe I got from a coffee shop in a long time. I can’t wait to go back!“

“My fiancé chose this place for a random date and I was really glad he did. From the photos from others on Yelp it looked like a place to unwind and relax so I couldn't wait.

The photos didn't lie. This place is nicely tucked away from the Atlantic and San Pablo craziness. Walking in I felt transported to another country. As cliche as that sounds I don't have any other way to describe it. I love the items imported straight from Turkey for sale (the staff are true salespeople as they really wanted me to purchase something. They were beautiful but I didn't see anything that I HAD to have). In the back. the wisteria hanging from the ceiling and the middle eastern sofa for lounging and maybe for some snacks and hookah made it seem so cozy. I loved all the decor.

The first thing we got was the Turkish Coffee that was heated in hot sand. The guy serving us, I wasn't sure if he was the owner or not was really great. He warned us not to ingest the coffee grind/powder/sludge on the bottom but that we'd really enjoy the taste. That was perhaps the best tasting coffee I've ever had not to mention it was nuclear hot.

We got the Charcuterie for 2 which had lebna or lebneh, cheddar, gyro meat which I thought was shawarma but it wasn't, grape leaves, hummus, fruits and crackers with a side of honey and pita bread slices. I don't remember having lebna before but I loved it. There were some extras we got like the mozzarella balls, the ful medames, olives, and I believe some kind of date cakes. Trust me. We were good after eating all of this. My fiance also had Lentil soup which he said was nice and simple.

One of them was even kind enough to pay for my drink the day that my Dad passed away (If you happen to see this, thank you again x100). “This place is WELL worth it! We stopped in at ELEON Pizza & Pastry in River City on a whim. They are a true diamond in the rough. You can’t find desserts like theirs anywhere. Period. The goodies in their bake case are nothing short of beautiful. Their shakes are insane. Looking at the rest of the menu, there are plenty of food and sweet options and every one looked/sounded amazing. THIS.PIZZA. The owner talked a big talk but he certainly walked the walk. They are a husband and wife duo who took time to genuinely engage in conversation with us. They are a small spot now but have big dreams. “First visit to Parkwood Coffee and I hope more San Marco residents discover this gem! We went on a Tuesday and the pastries had just gotten delivered and were amazing and our coffee was fantastic! Add to this, Michael’s warm and friendly service… what’s not to love??
I heard Michael tell the lady before us that they now carry straws for cold coffee drinks and hope they will consider the toothpick-like to go nozzles for the hot coffee lids (bc I need help to prevent spills;)“

“I’ve only added coffee in my life over the last few months, and Ellianos is the only place I get it. Now I technically get a dessert (Turtle Freezer with cookie mix base), so can’t comment on standard coffee, but what I get is such a tasty treat. My favorite part of Ellianos is the customer service though. Every single encounter has been a helpful and friendly member of their team. I trust their consistency so much that I went to Ellianos when out of town while visiting with a loved one in the hospital for several days. My first visit the employee was the one that helped me pick the drink and suggested the cookie base, and she happened to be the one this morning that made my birthday treat. And she remembered me from all those months ago. Just an overall good experience with Ellianos. EDIT: They also have pup cups! We made sure to include a visit for one for my little rescue pupper’s gotcha/birthday celebration day with his favorite people, places, and things. They thought he was so cute in his birthday tie and took a pic for their wall.“

“When I heard online that Gaa Cafe in Bay Meadows will opening,I was really excited.I was there on their opening day,and have returned have many times with some of my friends.We all agree that the interior is very clean and spacious,the atmosphere is cozy,and the staffs are polite.The waiting time after ordering is about 1 to 3 minutes,or 1 to 10 minutes,depending on whether it is busy or quiet time .This Cafe serves HongKong style coffee,so if you like Asian style coffee,you should definitely visit this place.Tey have free Wifi and you can relax and hang out with your friends for hours.If you don't believe it,just go and see for yourself.“
