These were the biggest and best subs we have ever gotten and we’ve ordered from here multiple times but whoever cooked them that day really did an amazing job and hooked it up! “I wanted to share with you a really great story from today that relates to this location. My company was using the catering service and we under-ordered, I’m not sure how that happened. It was our fault.

When Destiny arrived, we discovered the problem and shared the issue with her, and she immediately got to work, calling the store and having them work on a much larger order to fill our needs, and she was incredibly patient not defensive. She knew we had made a mistake didn’t take it personally and was so kind, and it really brought peace to all of us.

I then followed her to the store where she already had them working on the fix and the whole team was really dived in and were very patient even though we had certainly put them under a lot of pressure. The people at the store who were helping with this order were Jason, Jeremiah, and Destiny herself.

I just can’t even tell you what a blessing it was to us how fast they moved and we were able to actually deliver the corrected order within three minutes of our agenda lunchtime, which was really remarkable. I had quite a bit of pressure today because of this and your team was like a shining light!

“This was me and my partners first restaurant spot after our move to Jacksonville. My partner was still nervous and had a lot of those nerves swept away by how sweet and kind the staff here was during our visit. The sunny side eggs were divine and actually cooked perfectly. The sausage links recommended to us were bustling with flavor. The prices are very reasonable, I loved that they had looney toons playing on the TV it really sealed the perfect mom pop vibe. I will be back.

I stopped by John J.O.N. Smith’s Subs today for the first time and had a steak sub—and WOW. The bread was incredibly soft and flavorful, the steak and veggies were fresh, perfectly cooked, and seasoned just right. I added mayo to make it just the way I like it, which is easy to do since they give you control over your sauces.

What really stood out, besides the delicious food, was the service. The staff were fast, polite, and genuinely went above and beyond. The person making the sandwiches even came out to personally hand me my order—super thoughtful touch you don’t see often these days.

I had a 6-inch sub and thought it wouldn’t be enough… turns out it was more than satisfying. I almost ordered a 12-inch and I’m glad I didn’t—it was that filling. For the price I paid, the value was absolutely worth it. I’d choose this place over the big chain sub shops any day. They also have some outdoor seating to really enjoy the FL day as you have a meal.

Best salad ever - their homemade fat free honey mustard dressing is fantastic. I crave it all the time and would kill for the recipe - it has a spice in it I can’t place but it makes it different than any other you will ever have. The also have the best chocolate chip cookies.“

“Larry's made the mistake of shrinking the size of their sandwiches by trying to be sneaky and decreasing the width of their bread, as if we would not notice. They didn't want to follow Firehouse in just raising the prices dramatically, which most customers would prefer over shrinkflation. Sad, because they were our go-to for subs, especially with the military discount. They will probably try to deny it, but we were regulars for years and know the difference. We now call them pencil sandwiches. Sad.“

“Absolutely the best experience ever at a Firehouse Subs location today. Went in with the 2 for $20 combo in mind. Kelly, the manager, said it was an online purchase only. No worries though. She takes my phone and firehouse app, goes through and places our order for us. I pay with my credit card in the app. The order spits out and she is standing at the counter when my order prints out. 5-7mins later we are waiting in the restaurant ! Kelly and her staff were absolutely amazing. Would recommend this location 10/10“
