“This place is a hidden gem. The pastries are fresh, and authentic. Not like the commercial processed items you would find at a Starbucks. I ordered a colada which cost me less than a small cup of coffee at Starbucks but gives you the boost you are looking for in a pick me up, and the staff was so friendly. The only issue for me is that I wish it was easier to access because of traffic patterns but well worth the trouble.“

“My husband found this little gem and we went for brunch on our first day in Coral Gables. We struck gold! Not only was our server, Monica, a treat but so was the food. We went with two of her recommendations. The il piu italiano avo toast and mega mushroom omelette…so good!! I went back the next morning because I really wanted to try the don’t be a (lemon) tart French toast…another hit. And my server, Rashad, was another gem! “This was my first time visiting Rose Cafe & Restaurant, which recently expanded and rebranded with a full bar and dinner service, officially opening the new concept in October 2025. The space is absolutely beautiful ~ roses everywhere, elegant decor, and very Instagrammable from the moment you walk in. One thing that stood out, however, was a very strong scent sprayed in the hallway upon entry. My friend, who is sensitive to strong smells, felt sick afterward. It didn’t linger heavily at the table, but for anyone sensitive to fragrance, this could definitely be an issue. As for the food, our Eggs Benedict initially came out overcooked, but our server Jonathan A. handled it perfectly. He immediately took it back, asked the chef to remake it, and the second round was spot on. Great recovery and attentive service on his part. I ordered a hazelnut cappuccino, not realizing that cinnamon lettering would be added on top. I personally don’t tolerate cinnamon, so I removed the foam and didn’t say anything, but this might be something for management to consider ~ asking guests beforehand would be appreciated. Overall, the service was good, valet is offered upon arrival, and the ambiance is lovely. While it didn’t completely blow my mind, it’s still a beautiful spot with solid service. All things considered, I’d honestly give it 4 stars and would return, especially for the atmosphere.“

“There most likely will be a wait and you should definitely wait it out. The average is about 40mins around 10am on a Saturday.

The staff was wonderful and you get to SEE bread being freshly baked every second.

We went for it with fruit & yogurt, eggs Florentine, and baguette. We couldn’t finish it all but that baguette was LIFE. So delicious and perfectly warm and toasted!

“We absolutely love coming to Novela Cafe, and a big part of that is Helen. She always greets us with a warm, welcoming smile, is incredibly attentive, and never misses the chance to stop by and make sure everything is perfect. She makes every visit feel special and is one of the reasons we keep coming back.

Breakfast here is always a treat. The avocado toast is fresh and delicious, and the American breakfast is the perfect combination of sweet and savory—crispy bacon, fluffy pancakes, eggs cooked just the way you like them, and crispy hash browns. The coffee is consistently excellent too. You can tell that every barista takes pride in what they do because every cup is made with care and tastes amazing.

Whether you choose to sit outside or inside, the atmosphere is inviting and relaxing. The greenery creates such a pleasant space, and it’s a wonderful spot to enjoy a meal or get some work done on your laptop.

We rarely become regulars at the same places, but Novela Cafe has definitely become one of our favorite spots. Great food, wonderful coffee, and exceptional service make it easy to recommend.“

“On August 15,2026 it was my sister’s birthday and we decided to have brunch at cafe Bastille. The food was delicious, service was great and the manager and our waitress helped us to celebrate my sister’s birthday with a wonderful dessert and a toast to the birthday girl.
