“The service was terrible. We have been here many times and always enjoyed it. The server this time, made an error and instead of owning it argued with me that a BLT was a grilled cheese. She went as far as opening the sandwich to say that she saw some cheese. The manager did a great job in service recovery and the food was good, but her attitude dampened the meal.“

“Tried Drift, finally! It is amazing! The restaurant is gorgeous, and the outdoor bar sets the “bar” in the Clearwater Beach market for views, drinks, vibe. The drink menu and bar has everything one could want!! We had the focaccia bread and it was incredible! That parm cream dip was unique and stands as one of the best apps I’ve ever tried in the area. The steak burger was very, very good. My wife got the buttermilk chicken sandwich, and wow wow wow. The dessert menu is on point, highly recommend getting the pistachio tiramisu and the chocolate “pot” haha.

And through it all, our server, Robby, was on point, knowledgeable, very personable, and made the experience even better! Highly recommend trying drift. When you get there, ask for Robby’s table.“

We went for dinner on a cooler night and sat on the first floor- the restaurant is open air to the front, but the weather is a non-issue, because of their heaters throughout. There was live music that was very enjoyable (and I'm usually not a live music gal, but this guy was crushing it!). We were one of the closest tables to the music and could still have regular conversation without feeling the atmosphere was too loud. We ordered the brussels sprouts as an appetizer- phenomenal. I ordered the blackened grouper sandwich as an entire, and my husband ordered a special halibut entree- both were out of this world- fresh, seasoned well, excellent! Our server was extremely friendly and tentative and the trainee she had with her you would've thought was already working there for years. All staff during our experience were friendly and accommodating.“

We decided to sit at the bar to avoid the wait on a table and especially after JT gave us a warm welcome at the take out window. Lauren was the other bartender, she was super sweet and very attentive, I don't think she ever broke a smile. JT recommended the octopus and OMG it was hands down the best we ever had. We had some drink off the specials menu called a dirty banana, for that alone we will be back. Wish there was a live band playing while we were there but Lauren and JT made up for that. We had a great time, the food never disappoints and the customer service was out of this world. It was really busy, but don’t let that scare you away. You can still get great full service and add some fantastic memories with your family or friends at the bar.“

Twenty years ago, these two restaurants were the absolute “It” place, the best in Tampa. Amazingly, the decor is exactly the same as 20 years ago but somehow doesn’t look dated at all. The food was fantastic. We met George, our server, who is a bit of a celebrity, and he was super nice and gave me a supersized shot! Glad to give this notable establishment a great review!“
