“I recently visited Coconut Grove with my wife from Colombia, and we decided to check out The Oyster Bar by Eva. Criscelis, the bartender, was absolutely incredible! Her cocktails were delicious, and she was very friendly and conversational, making the whole experience even better. We had a fantastic time and enjoyed a wonderful atmosphere.

If you’re looking for great drinks and delicious oysters, I highly recommend this spot! It’s a must-visit in Coconut Grove.“

“I ordered a deconstructed pina colada from this bar. The bar is located downstairs below another bar. Please don't bother wasting your time or money at the upstairs bar. The atmosphere at Swizzle Rum Bar is super chill and laid back. Cozy, dark space to relax. Not a lot of seating, but this cannot be missed. You have to go. Anyway, back to the drink that I ordered. From reading reviews, this is how I found out about the deconstructed pina colada, because I didn't see it on the drink menu. I'm still dreaming about my drink, almost a month post-vacation. 🤣😂 This deconstructed pina colada is everything!! OMG. The goat cheese sauce (?) that comes on the side with the pina colada takes this drink to a whole new level. The goat cheese is sweet. This is a nice sized drink. The liquor weaves in seamlessly. My bartender gave me directions on how to drink this pina colada: take a sip of your drink, dip your tongue into the goat cheese and then take another sip of your drink and enjoy!! I need to go back to Miami just to order another one!! I ran out of goat cheese before I could finish my drink, so I asked for another serving and my bartender brought me more. If you don’t see this on the drink menu, ask your bartender about it. You won't be disappointed. 🥰😍🤩“

“The Tasting Menu was incredible on a Thursday night. We were greeted warmly, seated quickly, given enthusiastic recommendations. Every course was delicious and the wines were wonderful too. “We enjoyed Alma Cubana. The food was excellent, the atmosphere was vibrant, and our server was amazing. One minor complaint: I had chosen Alma Cubana bcs it supposedly had a lot of gluten free options. It did not. I was able to get a rice dish with shrimp and plantains, so it worked out, but it was still disappointing that I either accidentally picked the wrong restaurant in my search or that the gluten-free options are no longer available.“

“Yesterday I was in for brunch. The food has always been amazing and Angela is a top tier bartender. I’ve been back several times for the food and friendly staff. The atmosphere was disrupted yesterday by the manager who cornered a young employee and literally cursed him in front of guests and other employees. It was so unprofessional and uncomfortable and disrespectful. Otherwise, again, the food is great and the servers staff are really friendly.

Just don’t like bullies.“

“I had heard about this hot restaurant from New York that I must try, but was reticent to do so because Carbone was the name of a character from Goodfellas that Robert Deniro's Jimmy Conway whacked when tying up loose ends after the Lufthansa job! Poor sap was hanging frozen in a meat locker. I'm glad I put that imagery aside because this place was amazing! Platitudes like wonderful ambience, fine service, flavorful food, great family style dining, are all applicable but just don't capture the full spirit of the evening. From the pickled cauliflower, to the signature spicy rigatoni ala vodka (which pairs nicely with their pinot noir offering Presqu'ile), to the Caesar salad (you must have those croutons!), and their delicious Italian petit-fours, everything burst with flavor and was resplendent of the authenticity of old Venice. And since you will be spending more than a few pennies here, one must luxuriate in the mid century environs replete with Murano glass chandeliers while being serenaded with a sound track of Italian crooners like Mel Torme and Frank Sinatra in the full bela canta tradition. If you have a special occasion, Carbones Miami Beach will make for a memorable evening.“

The music is tropical and inviting the bar is half filled with patrons as I currently write this and it’s my second time here. the first time I had the chicken Parm it was excellent this next time I’m getting the burger Because as it turned out they’re out of the chicken Parm. “This place is really cool. I’m local and just stumbled across it looking for a place open late for dinner. Their kitchen is open until midnight. The food is surprisingly good and fresh. Everything seems homemade and they have some of the best French fries I’ve ever had. I got the veggie burger with a lettuce wrap (vegan option). The vibe is also cool with a lot of character. A mix of locals and tourists alike. Service was okay despite Saturday night crowds.“

“Maybe I’m just TOO OLD for this environment (look at my attached photo). The “smashed burgers” …are NOT real “smashed burgers”, you can tell they were cheap, processed “meat” patties. The wings, event though I did want them well done—they went to an extreme. It was like eating “hard crackers”. The BEER ? was Cold, so that’s a “+”. Fries were “meh”.

Come try and judge for yourself, it’s not worth it for me to come back. I wish them well and LOTS of SUCCESS with their type of crowd. Music was just wayyy TOO LOUD for Me. To the point that it hurt my ears. Again, maybe I’m just TOO OLD for this environment (look at my attached photo).“

“This place was a hidden gem and SO amazing. Inside of a hotel on miami beach and it was cozy and quaint. But what made the experience so amazing was the bartender with the fresh kicks on. We kinda had the place to ourselves and like I said, was a hidden gem. But even if there were more patrons she still wouldve made it so enjoyable. Very personable, made fantastic drinks, and the atmosphere is very miami chic. Will definitely be back indeed.“

“Food was good, did not realize this was a hookah bar when we booked for a business dinner. Service was a bit slow and not very friendly. Food came quickly when ordered. The croquettes were awesome, charcuterie board was good, and fries were yummy. Happy hour until 8 which is nice!“
