“Best baked ziti I have ever had. The pizza slice and cannoli were also fantastic. And the pick up service was awesome. They kept the cannoli separate from the hot food as you just can’t have those temps mix. Fantastic! They added an extra slice of pizza, free bread. So impressed!

“We had a stellar time at Walrus Rodeo! The staff was warm and friendly and the food was exceptional. Definitely get the maitake mushrooms and pork belly and gnocchi, and don't forget a pie too! We even sprang for a bottle of wine that the sommelier recommended which was similarly incredible. It's definitely a must-eat in Miami and we can't wait to go back!

“I had heard about this hot restaurant from New York that I must try, but was reticent to do so because Carbone was the name of a character from Goodfellas that Robert Deniro's Jimmy Conway whacked when tying up loose ends after the Lufthansa job! Poor sap was hanging frozen in a meat locker. I'm glad I put that imagery aside because this place was amazing! Platitudes like wonderful ambience, fine service, flavorful food, great family style dining, are all applicable but just don't capture the full spirit of the evening. From the pickled cauliflower, to the signature spicy rigatoni ala vodka (which pairs nicely with their pinot noir offering Presqu'ile), to the Caesar salad (you must have those croutons!), and their delicious Italian petit-fours, everything burst with flavor and was resplendent of the authenticity of old Venice. And since you will be spending more than a few pennies here, one must luxuriate in the mid century environs replete with Murano glass chandeliers while being serenaded with a sound track of Italian crooners like Mel Torme and Frank Sinatra in the full bela canta tradition. If you have a special occasion, Carbones Miami Beach will make for a memorable evening.“

“Oh boy. Overpriced just like the other similar places in the area. You’re paying for the view. The food was pretty good, but the main reason it was filling was because they give complementary bread. The atmosphere was ok, but crowded. Not bad but crowded and the tables are very close together since the patio is tight and there was lots of interest in the place. Long lines waiting for entry to the restaurant. Just like other South Beach restaurants (excluding the national chains and a few select places), this place sells overpriced food and drinks. Again, I don’t regret going here because we were visiting South Beach for the first time, but we probably wouldn’t come back. Also, like other SB “fancy” restaurants, they charge you a mandatory 20% tip (!?). I mean, I was going to give 15% but they think they deserve 20%. Just be warned.“

As we were without reservations, we were seated at the bar. What a turn of events and absolute treat this turned out to be! This was quite literally a chef's table experience!

The staff here is just so kind, warm and inviting - they most certainly hotel right here. We were literally showered in warm hospitality!

Non-alcoholic drinks were made to my imagination and the pasta was so, so comforting and good! As a finer dining sister restaurant to the wonderful Eating House, we should have expected nothing less!

However, the negative part was that they served 2 dishes to a table of 6 and 25 minutes later the other 4 dishes, even though they apologized for a place of this level, this is intolerable. “This has quickly become my favorite pizzeria in South Florida.

I know, I know, there are lots of options in South Florida. It doesn’t matter what type of pizza you fancy, there’s a spot for you. That said, I’m a big fan of artisan dough, fresh ingredients, and a perfectly cooked pie. Bellillo is all of that and more.

Obviously, the location is super trendy. The fact that it’s open late is awesome. But nothing compares to how good the pizza is. I always start with a meatball appetizer and the cheese croquettes. They are on point like a decimal.

The Margherita pizza with the buffalo mozzarella is amazing. The fettuccine Alfredo with chicken is awesome. And ending the night with a Nutella pizza with pistachios is like the cherry on the Sunday.

Ironically, we always get the same waiter, a young dude who has great table manners.
