I was camping in Dunnellon and needed to go to the Verizon store, saw this little hole in the wall and the word oysters and thought.... yep. So glad I did. My friend and I had a delicious meal and the prices were so reasonable. He had a salad and clam chowder.... he said it was great, I thought he was nuts to get a salad. Looked past the older reviews and glad we did. There has been a change in management. Fried chicken and Shrimp platter was super good. About the best chicken I've had in Florida. Service was quick though we never felt rushed. You can go to the "named" local place and pay more for less.

Very busy and pretty short staffed. The food was very good. I had the grouper "Ruben" and was very satisfied. We also ate raw oysters (from Virginia?) not local which was a bummer. But good. As well as clam chowder. Very good. Overall a nice clean place to have lunch.Parking: Gravel area but plenty of spaces.
