My husband and I were passing through and seen “Oysters” which happens to be our favorite food. We stopped and were not disappointed. They had a tempting Valentines special but my heart was set on fried oysters. I will definitely be back next time I am passing through.
Excellent Food, the Shrimp Supreme is out of this world!
Hidden gem. Delicious southern food and friendly people. So good!

Oysters of Crystal River offers fresh and excellent food at reasonable prices. The restaurant is small and comfy with a praised mom-and-pop style. The menu includes tasty dishes like rib-eye for breakfast, biscuits and gravy, the best fried chicken in Florida, collard greens, and a grouper "Ruben." Customers also enjoy the fantastic raw oysters, clam chowder, fried shrimp, cheesy grits, coleslaw, hushpuppies, gator tail, and seafood pasta. The Banoffee pie for dessert has won 2 blue ribbons. The staff is described as awesome, attentive, and the sweetest crew. The food comes out fresh, hot, and made to order. Many say they have the best fried chicken and collards in the state.
