“This was my first visit to BG Robata Sushi and I was impressed with both the food and the kindness of service. The restaurant itself is located in Bayside Bridge Plaza, near the center corner.The interior of the restaurant was open, airy and clean. Very comfortable and welcoming with a traditional sushi restaurant feel (No TVs, or gaudy decorations). Calm jazz and traditional music discreetly filled the air. There's a large comfortable bar, which I chose (though it does not have a footstep, so I used a neighboring chair for this purpose since I'm short). An open area kitchen behind the sushi bar was a pleasant surprise. There was table seating with half-booth style benches against the wall. No true booths though, for those that may be wishing a more secluded eating experience. I actually prefer this though my wife (who was not with me at the time) always prefers booths.I ordered Asahi beer with the sashimi lunch special and a side Japanese bagel roll. The sashimi special (pictured) was quite delightful as they included octopus, conch and crab salad with the traditional tuna, salmon, yellow tail, and escalar. These were bedded on fresh, crisp lettuce and beautifully displayed. It also included soup or salad. I chose the miso soup which came out nicely hot and flavorful. All the sashimi was clearly fresh and well kept.A wonderful eating experience!Parking: Typical shopping center parking.Kid-friendliness: Several high chairs were visible.“
“First time here tonight. Definitely won't be the last. Very unassuming from the front, tucked into the corner of a strip mall. Pleasantly surprised how nice the inside was. Great decor and ambiance and clean! Excellent service and food was the best anywhere in the Tampa area. Ten thumbs up!“
“This place is absolutely delicious. First of all it’s adorable inside. it was very busy and we sat at the bar. The wait staff was incredibly friendly and kind.We ordered an appetiser of coconut shrimp which was crispy and super hot and fresh and delicious. Then we each ordered two rolls which came to us on these giant dragons. We were not expecting that and the presentation was absolutely amazing.I loved watching everyone else’s plates come out of the sushi bar area because the presentation on each and every plate no matter what was ordered was absolutely impeccable. It was like an absolute work of art.I will definitely be coming back here because of the friendliness the service and the overall atmosphere 10 out of 10!!“
“My family was obsessed with Kaiko's in countryside back in the day and I have been dying to have that again. So when I saw that Charlie opened another restaurant I was so excited. And it did not disappoint. It was the same amazing food I remember having at kaikos. Charlie is the best! Staff was so helpful and friendly. I had the Mexican roll and super crunchy roll. It was amazing. 10/10. Hopefully he still does the Scott roll cause I'm asking for that next time I come!!!“

“Wonderful poke bowl. One of the best in its kind. The sauces are amazing, a variety of ingredients are included in the price. Price aren’t abusive but average. “I have been searching for an awesome sushi restaurant for the past 3 months. From West Tampa to Holiday to St Pete and several sushi restaurants in between. I would find a new place and spend the next three days trying different rolls. Maybe I was just lucky but every place I went to was good. There wasn't one that stood out over the others or one that was bad enough to single it out. I just happened to be in Palm Harbor last night and saw a sushi bar in a strip center. I ordered two rolls online, to go. Traffic was horrible so I decided to pull back into the parking lot and eat my sushi.IT TOOK ME OVER 90 DAYS AND PROBABLY OVER 100 ROLLS TO FIND A SUSHI BAR THAT EASILY STOOD OUT OVER THE OTHERS. MIKE'S SUSHI IS HANDS DOWN THE BEST SUSHI I'VE EATEN IN FLORIDA.The flavors were on point, fresh and absolutely delicious.The presentation was pure artwork.The price for the signature rolls is just a little higher than the average sushi bar but I was pleasantly surprised to see that the portion served is close to twice the size of all the other competitors.If you like sushi then Mike's Sushi Bar is the place to go. It is a definite 5 star sushi bar and you won't be disappointed. I'm looking forward to going back again tonight.“

“The food was excellent, we had the sirloin and the chicken, sooo good. Service was good, we had a young man serving that did a great job. Very personable. Really the only down side was the cold wind coming through the windows, this restaurant is roof top and open air. I'm sure on warmer days it is amazing. Beautiful views of the bay.“

Everything seems prepared fresh, so there can be a wait. Every Friday for four years our food has been nothing short of fresh and delicious. The employees know us, acknowledge us, and make us feel special. “So I order to go from them once in a whileEach time I order they call my cell from the street to co.e and take the food.... for some reason they don't come to the front door. I also noticed that each time I come outside they on the phone probably making sure nothing happens to them so they want to leave the phone on??Anyway the food is usually ok bu my last order it was a mess . The veggie lo main looked like they just throw it in the box and I ordered a large meal. Before I used to get more and split it but this time I think it was small.The sushi is ok but no matter how many different sushi you order they put them all in the same box!!!“
