“It's your dive bar kinda seafood fried, grilled, or blackened. Flavor was a bit lacking on the special for a higher price point. My biggest peeve of any restaurant is always rice. Get a dedicated rice cooker and serve real rice. The pilaf tastes like boil in a bag. Staff was amazing though. I'd return and simply order something else. “This is an Irish restaurant and if that’s the food you’re looking for that’s what you’ll get. Outside of that there is few options. The fish tacos were really good but extremely messy. They also had an okay kids burger and Mac and cheese was on par with any other kids meal. The server was extremely nice just slow and might have been over worked. Plenty of parking since it’s in a strip mall. They are not dietary friendly. They tried very hard to accommodate and were very polite about but none of the staff was familiar with the ingredients in the food when no dairy was requested on one meal.“

“Allison was our server for the night and always made sure she stopped by to make sure we were all set. We had a couple dishes that we didn’t enjoy and she went out of her way to make sure the service was great! Will definitely be coming back in the future.“

“Been Wintering in New Smyrna for years, eating out 2-5 times a week. Finally got around to Blackbeards after driving by many, many times.In a word, delightful. Beautiful setting in a comfortable warm, dining room. Waitress (“Lisa”) was friendly, knew the menu, had an answer to every question we had and checked back to make sure all was in order. It was.I had a delicious bowl of fish chowder, a great filet of Broiled Haddock with mixed rice, a large salad, a huge hush puppy and a basket of warm bread and cinnamon rolls. My companion had the Clam strips platter with a sweet potato that came with a thick sweet sauce that was spectacular, and the same sides. We agreed that overall it was among the very best meals we have had in all the time we have been coming to NSB. Coincidentally we got in under the Early Bird plan and the whole dinner including a Margarita for her was, (drumroll),$41.00!! Good food, good waitress, good deal!“

“This is my favorite place for lunch or dinner. I love the view, especially at sunset when the vehicles are cleared from the beach. The sky changes colors and the beach sand looks pink. I cried my eyes out one evening mourning the recent loss of my husband. The Playlist on the jukebox surely was being DJ'ed by my husband's spirit as it was a profound moment in my life. I watched the sky over the water through tear filled eyes grateful to be lookong at something so beautiful while experiencing so much pain in my heart. The wait staff allowed me to be in my moment and I apologized for making them feel awkward but thanked them for allowing me to grieve. Every other experience there has been a pleasant one! The view is always beautiful. The food is always delicious. Drinks are poured properly and the staff is a group of beautiful humans, friendly and attentive. I will go there every chance I get. Wish I could be a local here. Burgers, skewers, margaritas, chili, salads... all delicious! Key like skewers are my favorite. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do!“

“Malibu Beach Grill has a pleasant environment outdoor seating, available next to the lake and playground. Their food and service are both reliably good, above average for this area. Prices are a bit steeper than some other options, but the food is just so worth it! The plates usually come with a side of vegetables, and some sort of a starch, or perhaps a second vegetable, which is nice to have,if you're trying to eat healthily. I usually get the citrus scallops, but I've never been let down no matter what I choose. Their desserts are usually equally good and worth the extra spend.“

“Unfortunately I did not have the pleasure of sitting outside...we were starving so we sat indoors and the food was great. We drove an hour to eat there, alligator bites were delish, hamburgers were great fish sandwich and Caesar salad were all given thumbs up by everyone in my party.“

You just have to be willing to trade the view for lower prices and better service.We did a weeknight at 5 and got right in (or I should say out as we ate on the patio). The Thai Thai shrimp is awesome and is large enough to be a group appetizer. Coconut shrimp was very good and you get a huge portion. Drinks are good and well priced and the beer list is solid.Lots of parking and close enough to the beach to still get the NSB feel. Highly recommended.“

“Where to begin?It's a small establishment to be sure, but that only adds to the atmosphere. A bigger venue would only feel less inviting. As it is, the restaurant is clean and well maintained. The bathroom was spotless.The wait staff is attentive and friendly without feeling cloying or pushy. They never made us feel like they were trying to clear a table for the next guests.If that weren't enough, the food is incredible. The crepe lasagna is now one of the top three meals I've ever had at a restaurant in my life. It was tender and flavorful without being soupy or turning into mush, as so many lasagnas do. I will point out that our food took a while, however in this case that's not a downside.This restaurant is the kind of place you go for a proper multi course dinner, not an eatery that tries to serve as many people as possible, as quickly as possible. It never felt as though we were waiting our food, it felt as if they were waiting for us to be ready for the next course.It is overall, friendly, welcoming, and serves absolutely outstanding food.On the five-star Google scale, this place is a 10 out of 10. “We went here for the very first time and really loved it. We only ordered off the Dim Sum menu and it was just what we wanted. All of the familiar dishes we know and love, great flavor and reasonably priced. The owner was friendly and knowledgeable and he says all the dim sum items are made without MSG. “Always enjoy having a nice seafood lunch on the deck while taking in the intercoastal scenery. Great smoked fish dip starter (1/2 portion was ample for wife & I) then shared a platter with grilled shrimp, scallops, oysters, deviled crab & fish that was extremely tasty! Sides of black eyed peas and greens accompanied very nicely. Their Florida chowder is a nice tomato based soup that my wife prefers while I basically inhaled their thick, delicious clam chowder. I could eat a gallon of that wonderful creation.It's a must visit restaurant that won't disappoint. Don't be discouraged if there is a wait... it will be worth it!“

“My friend and I were looking for a seafood place to hang out for a late lunch. After doing a quick Google search, found the Boston's Fish House in New Smyrna Beach, FL. I had the shrimp wrap with sweet potato fries (which were yummy). The wrap was stuffed with moist, fresh shrimp along with lettuce and celery. So good. My friend had the Blackened Mahi Mahi Sandwich with fries and she said it was delicious! The service was fine. The restaurant itself has a laid back vibe. There is outdoor setting where your furry companions can hang out with you!“

“Coastal Grill and Raw Bar is a convenient restaurant for both residents of Port Orange, Florida and travelers heading up or down Interstate 95. Coastal Grill and Raw Bar is located on Dunlawton Avenue which leads to an exit on Interstate 95 and is pretty much the main road heading east and west in Port Orange, Florida. The place has a pretty cool ambiance, it definitely enhances the overall dining experience. The service is friendly and professional. This also enhances the dining experience. The menu is a bit eclectic. Seafood and barbecue on the same menu seems a bit of a stretch, but it is what it is. The New England clam chowder was a great start to the meal. I am a huge fan of New England clam chowder and Coastal Grill and Raw Bar has a pretty solid New England clam chowder. For my main entree, I went with the fried seafood platter. Nothing spectacular, but nothing terrible either. I was between three and four stars, but went with four stars mainly for the service and the ambiance. The food I would probably go with three stars.“

“We ended up at Off the Hook completely by accident after a failed attempt to eat at another area restaurant. What a happy accident!! We arrived around 6:30pm on a Thursday and were able to get an excellent table outside with an unobstructed view with no wait. Our server, Ronson, was immediately at our table with water and taking our drink order. He filled us in on the daily specials and patiently answered our questions. We ordered a bottle of wine, an appetizer, salad, and two orders of Mussels (two different ways). The food arrived well timed, not too much all at once and not too long of a wait between courses. I dislike being rushed and never had to even mention this, as I sometimes do at other venues. We managed to catch a gorgeous sunset from the table. This is at the top of our list of places to go back to on our next trip to the area. What a gem.“

“I have tried four times in the last 9 months to see if River Deck restaurant could get my meal right. Each time it was worse. Under cooked fish, slimy, the lettuce was wilted tiny bit of lettuce attached the the core thick chunks of lettuce core, that's obviously a FILLER in a meal that's not cheap. Their spice on the fish is a little strong, they changed thier condiments no sour cream you can have spicy sour cream. 60 percent of people like it a little milder and sour cream is usually offered to cool down the spiciness. The tomatoes were mushy and that's all that I could have eaten. I took it back and Managment gave me my money back twice now. The manager then tells me my Husband needs to learn how to order right. OK This is what he asked for Fish Tacos meat cooked not slimy no core of lettuce limes and plain sour cream without spices already added and say you don't serve sour cream at all anymore, with fresh lettuce and fresh tomatoes nothing wilted. They can't do any of that so we won't go back. There's no we could try again nothing we are done trying.“

“The food was good . The oysters however, although perfectly cooked, were somewhat tasteless. What was great were Michele, TJ and another young guy who came to our aid when our 2017 CRV failed to start. Having recently arrived from Colorado, knowing nothing about the area, my wife and I were understandably a bit panicked. These great young folks rounded up jumper cables and soon had us on our way. We will always remember the friendly help we received in our time of need.“

“I had been told by a couple friends about how amazing this place is. Finally decided to take the drive over and I have got to say it did not disappoint. Atmosphere was amazing. Beachfront views, nice tables, live entertainment, cool museum, and of course a nice sea breeze. Wait staff were very attentive and friendly. Drinks were never empty and we were always getting checked on. Food was absolutely delicious. We had the smashed potato ball appetizer along with the crab dip. All of it was amazing and tasty. Dinner was also pretty good. Cheesesteak was delicious and flavorful, burger was good, family member said the chicken sandwich was missing something, could have been better. Honestly I think they should fry the chicken and not grill it, I think that would add extra flavor! Overall it was a good time and we will definitely be back.
