“Used to eat Pdq when I would visit my son in Lakeland and it was the best. Haven't had it in years and was visiting Bradenton area and had to stop in. They did not disappoint. Order was quick and correct. Food was fresh, hot and delicious! We had the jack chicken sandwich and grilled tenders and Fries! Yum! Real chicken done right! Clean, friendly and on top of their game! ?“

“I think Slim Chickens is very good. The chicken is well made and the sauces are pretty good. The chicken gravy is my favorite. The fries are good and the Mac and cheese is just ok. Good enough for lunch. Overall it's a good chicken restaurant and should be on your list if you like fried chicken or chicken wings.Vegetarian options: None unless you count the fries or Mac and cheese. “Stopped with Mrs. Today, for a quick dinner.I had the pot pie special, and the Mrs had a gyro.The pot pie was really loaded with chicken and veggies, just as I had hoped it would be. Served very hot! I thought that it could have had a little more flavor. The crust was kinda dry, not flakey at all. It was something I would consider ordering again.The Mrs gyro was rated as simply good. The pasta salad was also ok.The restaurant was very clean.We need to come back and try the ribs and flame broiled chicken.“

“I’ve had better, but not many. Nothing I can complain about. The lobby and restrooms were clean The staff was polite and friendly, neatly dressed. Food I would say was 4.5 out of 5 stars. Went with the plain Jane meal of fingers and fries, coleslaw and toast. Could have used a pinch more salt for flavor, but my blood pressure is thankful they had reasonable amounts of salt.“

“Been eating at Basil's since 2012! I work at the restaurant down from them and I've had lunch and dinner here more times than I can count. Delicious and consistent. My favorites are a gyro on pita and the south of the border wrap with a side of mashed potatoes. Basil's is a chicken joint but you gotta get the gyro at least once, trust, it's so good. The gyro and south of the border are packed with meat and veg too. They don't skimp on the stuffing. The baklava isn't too sweet and very flaky. The owners and all the workers are so nice. Love supporting this local, family-run business.“
