“Back Alley is my favorite shop at my favorite beach. Its usually an every day stop while we're staying on the island. The coffee is always fantastic and I find the best souvenirs there. I especially love drinking coffee from my Back Alley Insulated cup at home because it reminds me of my happy place when I cant be there. Today was a fantastic day because I got to visit Back Alley! It was our first time in since all the storm damage and the place looks even more beautiful than it did before!“

“We found this little coffee shop on our way to Myakka State Park. I don’t drink coffee, but my daughter does. The reviews were great so we stopped by. It’s super cute inside and they also have seating outside. There is also a water bowl outside, filled with water, for your furry friends if you brought them with you. We don’t remember what my daughter ordered, but she asked what they recommended for a first time visitor. She said it was really good. If you like coffee, give it a try and don’t forget to get your sticker if you collect them from different coffee shops like my kids do lol. Parking seemed a little challenging, as we found ourselves on the backside of the building in what seemed to be a hotel garage parking lot. But that might just be us, as we were unfamiliar with the area.“

“What a wonderful place. I stopped by there yesterday, March 31, 2025, together with my son, daughter-in-law, and their Costa Rican friend. The sandwiches were terrific, the drinks great, cute atmosphere, but the best part was Lindsay. Let me tell you why she, among all the other good reasons, is the main reason we'll come back. I live in Indian Shores (an hour away - near Clearwater) and noticed that I had left my purse hanging on the back of my chair. Sadly, I didn't notice that until I got home. I called right away and yes, they had it, and I drove right back. Lindsay handed me my purse, and I wanted to purchase a water and a muffin, and when I tried to pay, Lindsay had taken care of it very quickly, right in front of my eyes. I think she saw I was tired and felt bad for me for the extra 2-hour drive I had to take (totally my fault). She was so kind and runs a wonderful, tasty, family oriented, lovely place, and although I was dead tired, I felt her interaction with me was worth the extra drive. There are beautiful people in the world, and she is undoubtedly one of them. Thank you!!!“

“We stopped into Blueberries Cafe for a quick breakfast this morning. We both ordered the acai bowl, which was fantastic! Perfect size and tbh, the most toppings I’ve ever had on an acai bowl and that’s saying a lot (since we’re big acai bowl fans). It’s really cute inside, plenty of options for seating both inside and outside. Can’t recommend this spot enough!!“

“Fabulous local cafe in downtown Sarasota located on Main St. near Lemon Ave! I started coming here around 10 years ago when Starbucks closed for renovations so this was my morning go to place on my bus layover and I’ve been a patron ever since. Although it’s changed hands a couple of times they’ve always had a very friendly staff and wonderful daily made pastry’s and treats…the coffee is great as well! If you’re downtown I highly suggest trying them out!“

“I work at Blake and honestly..... I look forward to my shifts for the reason of coffee alone! They never disappoint here. From the pumpkin chai latte to brewed coffees....its all delicious. The two baristas are always so nice and they even remember alot of the staff orders. I sometimes grab the turkey bacon wrap or the chicken ceasar and they have great flavor and filling. Made fresh daily. On occassion I treat myself to the white chocolate macademia cookies.... yum yum yum. Prices are reasonable.“

They appear to be dog friendly, as I've run into many (very well behaved!) pups who come in to sit quietly with their humans. There's also lots to do nearby, including the Opera House, Whole Foods, parks, and shopping!“

“The best Ice Cream on the island! Seriously, we tried them all, and kept coming back to AMI Beach Hut. There are so many flavors, toppings, and a quite little area to hang out in. Mike is also such a kind soul- and his ability to scoop ice cream so fast is impressive.
On a busy Saturday night, they were supposed to close at 10pm, and there was still a massive line. I asked Mike if he was going to close it down- and he said “and ruin their smiles!? No way”. It was super thoughtful.
