“The best authentic Mexican food I’ve ever had, I’m here on vacation from Texas decided to stop in and try the Birria Tacos, the absolute best ever! Big portion of food and for an amazing price! Salsa is amazing, rice delicious, all of it is great! If you are in the area I’d stop in and try it!“

“I ordered catering for Teachers Appreciation Week and they delivered! The food was amazing and there was so much of it. We got steak and chicken tacos, rice and beans, and Jose made sure we had all of the trimmings for the tacos. Everything was ready on time and packed so well. I highly recommended stopping by for a bite to eat or getting catering for a group.“

“Family-owned and operated, which is ALWAYS a bonus, because you know they care about the food they make. A couple unique options for vegetarians as well, which we really appreciate. Salsa for chips felt very fresh, and I even think the corn tortillas are homemade, too, not sure, but they were good.“

“visited Torchy's St Pete today, loved it and looking forward to the next visit. We sat at the bar and Will & Tom took great care of us. we have, queso, guacamole and salsa to start. Chips were fresh and tasty as were all three dips. Torchy's has a good variety of Tacos that are flavorful and different from other restaurants. I highly recommend it.“

“First time eating there today for taco Tuesday, at $1.70 per taco! We are from Colorado and so we know about great authentic Mexican food. Very clean and organized building. Great service coupled with excellent Mexican food. Israel was our waiter and he was very pleasant. Everything was done super-fast and with very friendly genuine people. Voted best Mexican restaurant in Pinellas Park in 2026 and 2025; stop in and you will NOT be disappointed. Enjoy! Oh happy hour starts at 3pm daily! You will love it.“

“Just left Grand Hacienda at Tyrone Mall in St Petersburg and was introduced to one of the best meals that is on their special menu introduced today. It is the birria ramen!! absolutely delicious. The flavor is amazing and it has pieces of tender birria beef found in their special tacos. It’s being prepared for a short period of time. Go try it…..you will love it!!“

“Very tasty and great portions, we tried the fajitas, gorditas and quesabirria and all were excellent, they also have Mexican beer that goes great with the food and is fairly priced! I’ll definitely be back, they also serve chips and salsa as starter for free!!“

“The best Mexican food I could eve wish for. I have eaten at dozens of Mexican restuarants in my vast travels around this state and country, and I must honestly say, that Carmelita's is second to none. Their food is Excellent ! Go there once and you will be hooked. It's that good, I promise !“

“This is probably the only Mexican place in St. Pete/Tampa I've found in two years that's acceptable. Being from southern Cali, definitely have high standards, but we have scoured St. Pete and Tampa for AGES trying to find a Mexican restaurant where the food is actually flavored well and correctly, and literally this wk went here and it was actually good. I wish the birria had been spicy, but ah well-the flavor was definitely there. We also got the flautas. The side green sauce was unimpressive and sort of watery :/ but the side orange sauce was awesome and flavorful. I would actually come back to eat here. The pricing of some items such as carne asada seemed high(so we didn't get that), but the birria and flautas were fair enough for the area.“

I gave you 5 stars for food and 5 stars for service. No I didn’t follow suit on atmosphere, but you’re right- 2-Stars overall was not reflective of food/service- sorry. I don’t come for your pure margaritas or the $1.75 beer, but I’m sure the 39+hrs of happy hour makes many happy. I do spend ample $ on food/booze though. I did changed the overall star rating. I must be the only one that doesn’t like to hear myself chew. It was SO quiet in the restaurant …. ? Still love your food and bartenders…

Love your food, ❤ your bartenders but why do away with the atmospheric piece? No live music and little to nothing over the interior sound system. I could hear myself chew! Slippery slope.“

“This was my first time visiting this spot. If you want authentic, delicious Mexican food, come here! We had their chips and queso with chorizo added. We also got their fiesta chicken burrito, a carne asada burrito and some fried ice cream. The burritos are huge, the queso is thick and the salsa isn't watery like some places. We will be return customers!“

“Great food, steak tacos were killer and the salsas made it even better went with my family of 10 ordered a bunch of food along with drinks. The owner gave us a free FULL plate of rice along with candies for everyone. Great service and at the end only charged us 20$ and refused a tip. GREAT place would definitely recommend and definitely going back!“

“This is the absolute best Mexican food in the area! The service is exceptional, food is hot and fresh and they have the best raspberry margaritas around by far!!! If you happen to get lucky and grab a seat by the bar you will not regret it. The bartender, Carissa has a great personality, knows her s*** and has great recommendations. The brisket is delicious and the shredded chicken chimichanga with the house queso is to die to! I recommend this restaurant to all of my friends and to you as well.“
