“My husband did great choosing this place for my birthday dinner last week! My friends had the Mahi Mahi, husband had the grouper, and I had the fish special with orzo/crab fritters. For dessert we had key lime pie and the icky sticky. The octopus appetizer was great also. I had a guava punch cocktail. All around an enjoyable experience!“

It was a Monday afternoon so I wasn’t expecting much When I walked In the Aruba Beach Cafe just in time for the 4pm Happy Hour and saw the Salty Pirates Duo on stage, I had to stay to check it out. “Reservation was for 7:30pm and when we arrived we were immediately seated. Restaurant seemed bright for dinner service. 30-45mins into dinner they dimmed the dinning room. Drinks were ok but not to the level for this establishment. We ordered crab cakes and oysters Rockefeller. Oysters were great. Crab cakes were a little underwhelming. We went with the 50oz waygu tomahawk, medium rare, truffle mashed potatoes, corn pudding, cream spinach. The steak was amazing and almost fell apart in your mouth. Truffle Mashed Potatoes and corn were great but cream spinach was not and we did not finish it. I have to say that the service level was top of line and a highlight of dinner. All in all just a good dinner but not great especially for a Michelin Nod restaurant and the price point. There are better steak houses in Ft Lauderdale.“

I had a great experience at Hook Seafood & Wings thanks to Daniel, the cashier. From the moment I walked in, he was respectful, fast, and professional. He greeted everyone with a positive attitude, stayed focused even when it got busy, and made sure every customer was taken care of quickly and accurately.

What stood out the most was how patient and clear he was when explaining the menu or answering questions—he never made anyone feel rushed or ignored. You can tell he takes his job seriously and wants people to leave happy.

Definitely one of the best customer service experiences I’ve had in a while. Shout out to Daniel for holding it down and keeping the vibe solid!“

“These guys are THE BEST. Not only is the food just as amazing as it’s always been (I’ve been a semi-regular for nearly 25 years), but the staff and management are top notch. Recently my best friend passed and his brother knew he loved Catfish Dewey’s, so he wanted to have a dinner there with local friends, neighbors, and colleagues. I went in and spoke to Joe, the manager. He assured they’d make it happen and they did so, flawlessly and with great attention to detail. They managed a party of nearly 48 people in addition to their regular clientele, even bringing in extra staff to help with the event. These folks went out of their way to make sure this special event went flawlessly and it did. The waitresses, whose names I cannot remember (I told you I wouldn’t…sorry! Ha!) were amazing. Food runners, on point. Bartenders, outstanding. Management, excellent. There’s a lot of love and care in this establishment and it should be celebrated. There’s not enough of that these days. Support local businesses who care, especially those with GREAT food AND great people like Catfish Deweys.“

“What an amazing mistake walking up to the door. We thought it was the entrance for the corner spot. we cannot say enough about the service, staff and food here! Our hostess hooked us with her smile and pleasant suggestions to give them a shot. There were three of us, two had the grouper sandwich and I had the wrap. The sandwiches are huge! The rolls were fresh and fluffy. Definitely a must stop! We come fishing every year and definitely will be back. We caught Rick the manager on the way out and were able to share how pleased we were.“

“We love JBs and when we came a bit later in the afternoon there was a band playing then it switched to dinner. Great patio facing the beach and the service keeps up with busy times...The food is great and costs meet it with a family of four but the atmosphere is what really draws people here.

Parking: JBs is located on a busy bend by the pier in Deerfield. It has pedestrians, bicycles and a whole array of cars always being dropped off, the valets do a great job!“

All of the reviews I've read on this place is what made me come here except for the ridiculously entitled people who complain about having to wait an extra 10 minutes. To attack a business because they're busy and they're doing their best to get you a seed is selfish and shows how much you think the world revolves around you. I wish they had an app that you can review the reviewer. I hope you get stuck in traffic for the next month. I hope the next time you have to crap in public The person that's in the bathroom before you has constipation.
