“Surry Hills was so memorable I barely captured any photos or video, I just wanted to be in it. The space is calm and confident, and you can feel how intentional everything is, inside and out. Even the tiny things are dialed in, like the soap and lotion in the bathroom, and the specialty dog treats that make it feel genuinely welcoming. They’ve been recognized by The World’s 100 Best Coffee Shops, and once you sit down, you get why. 

Now the food and coffee. Their coffee is perfectly dialed in, smooth, balanced, and consistent, the kind of flat white that tastes like someone actually cared about ratio, texture, and temperature, not just speed. The almond croissant was flawless, soft and gooey inside, with that crunchy almond top that gives you the perfect snap in every bite. 

And then the savory stuff surprised me in the best way. The avocado toast has that super satisfying crunch and texture, and it tastes like a real Australian brunch plate, not the watered down version. The quinoa salad with chicken was a wow too, hearty but still fresh, with edamame, greens, seeds, and that dukkah vibe that makes it feel intentional instead of just “healthy.” They got it all right, the coffee, the food, the details, and the energy.

“Enjoy the in-house roasted beans from various countries. Especially, the east coast blend for cappuccinos and Ethiopian beans for pourover.
When having more time, I cherish coffee houses with pour-over options. It’s what separates the massive milk drinking (lattes) patrons from the actual coffee consumers. The Brazil and Ethiopia bean seem the best balanced choices.
Note: Grab (purchase) a bag of beans and enjoy a complimentary drink.
Chill on the shaded lanai and take in the tourists and noisy vehicle traffic (why 4 vs 5). Prices are competitive to the market.“

“We called ahead as we wanted to make sure about parking and also we had a small dog. We received a very warm positive response. There was lots of parking and our dog could be easily accommodated We came for brunch and were greeted very warmly by Juan and staff. It’s just a very nice place, coming from downtown Miami. It is still in the artsy district with lots of activity, but not right in the chaotic part of downtown Miami. We were greeted upon arrival. Juan made sure we were comfortable and took drink orders. Then the food. ( our dog was royally taken care of). We found the empanada to be excellent, the breakfast sandwiches delicious from bread to cheese, eggs and meat. Very fresh!! Our party had wonderful juice combinations and we had an expresso- all were excellent. It was a wonderful experience and we’d come back in a minute. Thankyou Juan!! The flavors are just right not too sweet or too sour, the combination of fruits sweetness mixes well with the tea.

You can add as much boba as you want, I’m looking forward to their milk teas.

“I came to this location foe an afternoon iced tea. The service i received from Luigi and Madison was absolutely top notch. They were friendly and very professional. They greeted me with a welcoming smile and upbeat attitude! The store is very well maintained, very clean! I would give 10 stars if there was an option. The food and drinks arw the best of any starbucks i have visited.“

“I don’t often make the time to write reviews, though I should because so many small businesses in the Wynwood/Downtown area have to compete with big corporate brands moving in with massive budgets and marketing power. Meanwhile, small owner-operated businesses wake up every day and run their shops with genuine passion for the local community. A community that’s incredibly transient in this area.

But there are still plenty of us who call this place home, I have for 10 years and at Vice, the owner and staff make it feel exactly like that — home.

“A hidden gem in Brickell. I’ve tried most of the coffee shops and this is one of the better quality preparations I’ve had! Not the friendliest service though but for good coffee it’s a trade off I’m willing to make. They have a few delicious looking pastries available for purchase. The lobby area it was in was so peaceful on a Saturday morning. Seems like a nice quiet spot to post up on the weekends. I will definitely be back. Vanilla Latte with skim was close to $8.“

“I came here with my friends. From the beginning, the environment is very warm despite the bustle. Our host/waiter Andrean, was very kind and attentive. I did have to knock off a star because my potatoes were on the drier side, but regardless Maman is a beautifully crafted place many will enjoy (I hope!).“
