“Tonight my husband and I, along with our daughter and son- in-law, went to Oak & Stone to celebrate my birthday with a casual dinner. The food was excellent, the service was just great. We will be back for sure! Before our dinner was served, there were several servers looking out the window. One of the girls, Rebecca, asked if the silver car in the handicapped spot was mine. It was. She let me know that a gentleman who had just left the bar had backed into my car. Fortunately, several people had seen him hit my vehicle. She not only had a photo of my license plate, she had his as well. By the time I knew it, the manager, Chris, was already outside dealing with the man, who clearly was attempting to leave in his car. He was also clearly inebriated. The bartender had spoken to him before he left the restaurant about not being fit to drive, but he replied that he was walking home, which was not true. Chris stood in the man’s open car door and convinced him somehow not to leave. CCSO was called, the man’s daughter was called to pick him up. I want to thank everyone at Oak & Stone for being so helpful and caring. There’s not a ton of damage to our car, but it’s only a few months old with only 3,000 miles on it, so it hurts! Special kudos to Chris, Rebecca, Don and Kaylee for their kindness and assistance tonight. And thank you for the discount given for our food! I deeply appreciate you all!! You went above and beyond for us! Thanks to the gentleman at the bar who helped my disabled husband onto his seat at the table, whose name I didn’t get. Thanks also to Jill and Chad who took care of the details with CCSO for me. And thanks to CCSO for your response and kindness!!“
