“I LOVE dragon tea house. I’ve been going there for over 10 years, and my parents have been going there longer than I have. Everything is always made hot and fresh, the food is consistent in flavor every time I go back, and the people who work there have always been very friendly! If you order around dinner time, you should probably place your order in advance depending on the time because it can get a little busy, but there’s almost always tables available for dine-in! The prices are fair as well, not expensive at all and (most) portions are share-able!“

“Needed to find a great Dim Sum place and my husband found this one ...not too far from Coral springs. After Tao Tao...and their food safety debacle...which was so horrifying to us. We have been going there for close to 15 years...and watched as they changed ownership and then... bye!!!.. Hong Kong City dim sum was good....they had brown rice and it was amazing...the mustard greens were so well seasoned and the Hong Kong noodles were good...but needed a bit more spicy ness to it...we got it without the pork or beef..and had it with shrimp and chicken...the servers were very attentive and the food all came out in these pretty lil bamboo steamers...as dim sum does. All in all...this will be our new place.. Christmas when our family comes in...we will all come here. We spent 250.00 including tip on Dim Sum. We wanted to try all the favorites we used to enjoy at Tao Tao. They did a good job!!! See you for the holidays...thank you for such great service!!!“

“My cousin suggested we should eat at a spot he hadnt been to in a while but a solid choice as we were staying Fort Lauderdale. Mom and I got in a little early as mom needs a little extra time these days. At first glance while we waited for them to open up, it seemed old school South Florida of old.... when we got in we were surprised to find what seems to be almost cutrent from the velvet bespoke chairs to the walls covered jungle mural almost white lotus-esque. The white table cloths should have given it away from the beginning, the service, impeccable. The food, excellent... the overal experience, better.... 10 out of 10. We will be back“

“This place had good halal Trinidadian Chinese food at a reasonable price. It has been open for about a year. The owner Hema (spelling?) was very hospitable and her husband the chef comes to greet customers as well.

For entrees I had the Hong Kong Chicken and Pepper Steak Combo Fried Rice and Lo Mein. The shrimp wontons were the highlight of the show. They sell a local home made juice and ice cream, the Mango flavor and Pine Ginger were standouts.

Definitely plan on coming back next time I’m in Fort Lauderdale area.“

“So it was a Monday night, and we were both unsure what we wanted for dinner.
I wanted sushi and Jason wanted Chinese, so we opted for Asahi.
It definitely did not disappoint.
I got the mixed sashimi meal, which came with several large pieces of fish along with rice under.
Jason got the General tos chicken with pork fried rice, and to be honest, it was one of the best general tos I've ever had!
Tender meat and so flavorful! The rice was boiled soft and very fluffy.
I knew from seeing the mixed reviews it was going to be a hit or miss for us, and we took a chance.
We both enjoyed it, and will be ordering from here again in the near future.“

“Just visited my BFF of 40 years and we learned Lotus has moved as we always dined here when they were in Wilton Manors. OMG…it’s better than ever!! We were so impressed that we visited 3 times during my 12 day stay. They have a beautiful new restaurant, a young, fresh FRIENDLY staff, and the owner visits each table and engages with every customer. Food is even better than before and portions are huge!! “The buffet was very organized. The sauces were in a different area categorized and described. There was a dessert bar from which we only ate a macaroon because we were stuffed. The conveyor belt was definitely a plus because you get to pick all you can eat without leaving your table. Very low maintenance. The server comes to refill tour drinks and refill your boiling pot but overall you feel like you are in your private kitchen without the hussle of cleaning and doing the dishes.“

“We discovered Hongs in the Facebook group, Let's Eat, South Florida. The reviews were mixed, however we decided to try it. I called before we went to see if they cook with MSG and I was told that they did. When I asked if the MSG could be omitted the man I spoke with told me it could be omitted. We went to the restaurant last night and I spoke to the server about omitting the MSG and she said she would check with the chef. She wanted to know what dishes we wanted to order. Every dish I asked her about she had to check with the chef. Every dish we asked about they couldn't omit the MSG. We seriously should have walked out. I made the decision to stay because we were already there and decided just to chalk it up. We ordered egg drop soup, beef chow fun, honey roasted pork and the eggplant in garlic sauce. The soup was a huge bowl big enough for two and reasonably priced, however it lacked flavor. It was basically tasteless. The next dish to be brought out was the garlic eggplant and it was sizzling hot. It was absolutely delicious and the best eggplant we've ever ordered. The next dish to come out was the Chow Fun. The temperature on the dish wasn't cold. Maybe it was sitting too long but we felt it could have been hotter. Food coming out of a kitchen should be hot. I tried explaining this to the server but she just didn't understand what I was asking. I just let it go. It was extremely frustrating with the language barrier. She also forgot to bring out the pork. I had to ask for it. Pork was good but a little fatty. We were just about finishing up our meal and I see the server sit down at a table with a big plate of food. She just went on break. Not once did she look over at us or even come over to us before taking her break to see if we maybe needed anything. Also then the chefs and other server took their break. There was only one woman at the register dealing with take-out orders. We sat there for about 15 minutes. We just couldn't believe it. When the woman at the register finally finished with a customer, I went over to her and said I needed help at my table. She finally came over and I told her our food needed to be packed up and I also had to ask for the check. The woman walked away and came back with containers and just put them on the table. She then just stood there. I asked if she was going to pack up our food or if I had to do it. It seemed like she grudgingly did it. Also, their chairs are extremely uncomfortable, didn't encourage lingering. Absolutely awful service. Today, we were going through the reviews on Google and there were many negative reviews. Shame on me for not reading these reviews. If we had, we would NOT have gone. I give them a 1 out of a 10. One and done for us.“

Customer service isn't that friendly though, which isn't a problem for me. You know you entered a real Chinese location when you are not greeted, thanked or receive any sort of warm reception (Reminds me of modern day Hong Kong, ha!). We tried to find places closer but have alwaya been disappointed. It's well worth the drive. However tonight we noticed they changed how the boneless spare ribs were made.
