My 74 year old grandma was absolutely in love with those onion rings and then the day we went in there to get some and the waitress told us they were discontinued she actually got so upset and cried over them. “Wade has created something special here in DeLand. Our Sonny’s BBQ is the best around and we will put that up against any other location! Quality, service, the employees.. just perfection. Best pulled pork and best pulled chicken around! Love those ribs as well.“

“The food was good, but the ribs did not fall off the bone. The service was excellent, the ladies took time to talk with us and share their favorites and so forth with us. I ended up getting the staffs recommended meats and they where good. They have a pretty good selection of sauces as well.“

“The four of us came in for our first time today (Tuesday) for lunch. We all had the Dieter's Special, even though it was not diet food! lol Pulled pork, brisket, sausage and bean soup and salad bar. Everything was fabulous!!!“

“Man, I am so glad this place is here. Sometimes you crave a filling hotdog with elevated toppings and nowhere in the area has anything close to what this place offers. The atmosphere is very chill vibes. All of the sides are made in house and very tasty. The hotdogs are high quality and fairly priced. We will be making this a frequent stop in the rotation.“

“I am a power chair user with a large standard poodle service dog and our server Jade was so polite, asked me which table would work best, and even scooted out both chairs on the side so that I could scoot in easily and comfortably with plenty of room for my service dog. She ignored my dog which was such a welcome change from the baby talk, distracting the dog, and talking to my dog instead of me, which is a demeaning experience I’m quite used to. Going from a manual wheelchair to a power chair has made restaurants a bit of a challenge for me as some are not as accessible as they think they are. This has been such a pleasant and stress-free experience which is honestly a rarity when it comes to dining and my disability. 🥹🥰“
