“I grew up in the area and have been eating smoked mullet for nearly 50 years. In the 1970's mullet were plentiful all along the coast and you could get it raw or cooked in several different ways everywhere you went, but the smoked was always a hit with me. As time went by the mullet schools shrank and it became harder and harder to find it in any form. The occasional pop-up roadside warrior over the week-ends advertised "smoked mullet", but 9 times out of 10 the spice was too powerful, the smoke hadn't penetrated or the meat was either raw or over cooked and so dry that it could barely be swallowed. I finally stopped to give Gulley's a try and was NOT disappointed. I am here to tell you that Gulley's smoked mullet is the REAL DEAL. Perfect in every way. While there I also tried their mullet spread and it is Heavenly as is their mullet dipping sauce. Needless to say.. I will be back.“

“First time ever going here but the food is AMAZING! It was so good! Probably the best seafood boil I’ve had. Some of the down sides about my experience was the atmosphere can be very overwhelming. It’s REALLY loud in there. Too much happening at one time. There is a lady that comes to your table and has you posed for pictures which was really awkward but on the plus side you get a free picture. Also our waitress which I think was named Cynthia, was not great. We ordered an appetizer that we never got until probably 20 minutes after our food, we barely saw her ever, had to get her attention when she passed by to get drink refills. Anything we asked her to bring us we had to wait minimum 15 minutes to get if not longer. I would definitely eat here again but probably to go only.“

“My friend and I went on Saturday night. We both had a drink and ordered appetizer while looking at the menu. Our waiter was right there with our hot appetizer within minutes. We both ordered shrimp and scallops coleslaw hush puppies along with our fried calamari appetizer. Our food was one of the best we've had in and around Bradenton/Sarasota. The atmosphere was perfect and service was the best. I cant wait to go back.“

“This is my first time coming to this area of Florida. I had nothing to eat so I decided to try some manje ayisyen from this part of town! I was surprise to see that there were Haitians in Bradenton. The griot with banan peze and diri gratin was delicious! I definitely have a full stomach! I’ll definitely come back when I’m in town.“

“Don’t let the run down outside appearance fool you. This is a hidden gem. Very fairly priced with an absolutely massive buffet and huge selection down to a bunch of flavors of real ice cream. Service was exceptional. Interesting to see that the wait staff of Asian descent are culturally more respectful and attentive to their work than our local youth of today. What this says for our Nation I can’t say for sure, but you can still get a womping, tasty, and fairly priced meal at this great bradenton Chinese buffet. The inside is very nice as well, seating and ambiance. Clean, good food across the board.“
