“Visiting Pompano Beach from out of state and love eating Cuban food while I'm here. There are a handful of Cuban places around, but no place like this one! This place is attached to a gas station and has a small counter to order food. The person behind the counter was singing while he made coffee! He clearly was loving his job! If I wasn't in a good mood, I would have been when I left. The coffee was superb. I also got a egg sandwich on a croissant. Sounds so simple, but it was delicious! The croissant was soft and buttery. The egg was hot! I saw the whole thing being made. I wouldn't change a thing. Going back tomorrow.“
“Compliments to the chef the food is absolutely delicious. The tripe soup is incredible and is so so so so so packed with flavor in every bite it’s just so delicious it’s nostalgic it’s hard to put down because it tastes so good. I also ordered the lasagna bolognese which is also delicious. I’ve been ordering from Pudgies forever and everytime I get their food it’s just wonderful, just made with love and handled with care. I dine in with my family from time to time and also order delivery for home or work. The service is very nice and it’s just a homey feeling you get when you’re there and even when you eat it at home. “There is parking in the front and in the back. It appeared when I was leaving that they may also have a drive through window possibly. So...Have you ever walked into a place, and knew you were right where you needed to be. From the moment I walked in, I felt this. I exchanged pleasantries with a lady that looked familiar, later to learn she is Gentiana, the owner. This was my first time here, however we both felt we knew each other prior. She was warm and welcoming. There are plenty of places to sit all around this cozy restaurant. We were welcomed by Velima to take our order. (I sure hope I have their names spelled correctly.) You can either order from the counter when you walk in, or order from your table and pay after at the counter. I had a chai latte that was creamy and dreamy. My friend had an expresso with frothed milk that she enjoyed. We both had omelettes. You have a choice of home fries or fruit, and a toast option. The omelettes were plentiful, for a matter of fact my friend couldn't finish hers. I finished mine because I'm a foodie and a yelpie of course! As you see in my photo, we went with the fruit. The fruit was fresh and abundant. This place isn't close to my home, however I will most certainly come back to relax here and enjoy something delicious! They have a massive board with all of what they offer over the counter. They have hot and cold coffees, tea and smoothies. They have pastries and hot food, so pretty much everyone can find something that they will enjoy! The restaurant has been open for 10 years. Boy have I been missing out! “I was so hungry after me my work out I didn’t think to snap a pic. Anyways, the food bar was so incredible. Fresh, healthy, decently priced and delicious. I ate every scrap of my dinner. “The food was very good. Very fresh tasting. We had the guacamole salad with shrimp. We were very happy to see that we didn't have to wrangle with the shrimp to get the tails off! The guacamole and salsa were very tasty and fresh! Ice cold frosted mugs came with the bottled beer! Edgar, our server, was amazing, very attentive but not over-baring. Probably the best server we have had in the last 6 or 7 years and we eat out often. The ambience is fun, relaxing and authenticly Mexican. We will be back!“
“If you're looking for a terrific place the locals go to, you've found it. Share the entrees so that you have room for dessert, as that's where this place really shines. The cuatro Leche is incredible and the flan, well it's on another level. Don't leave out the cafe con Leche to wash it all down, as it was the perfect compliment.“
