“A wonderful experience enhanced by Zoey who was an outstanding frontline ambassador for expected service and care. I ventured away from my usual Thai Bowl and tried the Big Italy with crispy chicken and spaghetti squash. Dang…was it good! Portions were sufficient, well-prepared and proudly served. This selection might just become my favorite at Cali’s. Granted, the staff consists of young adults who are, in the least, committed to going to work to earn their pay. Their attitude is encouraging. Some of the comments posted may not be fair. One has to allow opportunity for on-the-spot redress of an actual or perceived wrong (the menu is self-explanatory or can be clarified by simply asking). “We went to the location on Gandy Boulevard today. We were just passing by and saw it so looked up the menu online. At this particular location there was a kiosk to order and no indoor seating. There was a taphouse next-door that had outdoor seating so we grabbed a drink and ate our food there. The portions were large and everything was absolutely delicious! I was delighted to find vegan options. Everything was well seasoned and very flavorful! We would definitely come back again!“

“The food taste, temperature, and how prepared is inconsistent. On Saturday, February 21st, I was dining with friends it was crazy busy due to Anthony Hamilton and Fantasia concert at Benchmark International, due to long wait times. Once we were seated, I ordered a grilled cheese with Avocado and Tomato, and Tomato Basil soup, it was hot and delicious. Thus, I was there last night, February 24th, and ordered the exact same thing and it was awful. Sun dried tomato strips used instead of tomato, the sandwich fell apart, avocado fell out with each bite, and soup was cold. What I thought would be my go to dish wen I dine at Yard house, after last night...I'm rethinking that meal.😩“

Door Dash picked up the wrong order, so I called and Mike (the owner) was able to get them to come back and deliver the correct one. “Party of 6. Very well take care of. The wings were by far the biggest in town, we got them plain and with buffalo, both were delicious. The pretzel was good, Caesar salad is HUGE with crostini that were also delicious. French dip and Mac and cheese both good, the smash burger and chicken with waffles equally delicious. Would definitely recommend and will be back. The staff were amazing attentive but not “clingy” Camilla was our server and was excellent!!“

The staff has always been super friendly and accommodating. It’s my kids’ favorite place to eat so I take them every chance I get!“

“The Shrimp & Company is a quaint seafood restaurant on the corner of 7th Ave and 22nd St in Ybor City. If you have walked past it headed for the restaurant across the street then you have missed the best seafood you could eat in Tampa. You have to try their Florida or Louisiana Steam Pot, any of the seafood baskets and their shrimp stuffed mondongo. The food and terrific service is worth another trip to the small family owned restaurant. Don’t miss it!“

He suggested a non-alcoholic beer (not my thing), and then I mentioned ginger beer. His eyes lit up—he had one he hadn’t tried before: Bundaberg. What could’ve been an awkward wait turned into this fun, unexpected exchange as we both discovered the drink together. It came in a vintage-style bottle, and he treated it like it was the most interesting cocktail he’d ever poured. That kind of thoughtful hospitality changes everything. When my group arrived, the meal was incredible—rich flavors, creative pairings, and descriptions that made every dish sound like art. The food was phenomenal, but the way the evening felt was even better. As I left, the bartender smiled and said, “I found a case of that Bundaberg in the back—it’ll be here when you come back.” That moment captured the heart of Mise En Place: attention to detail, genuine connection, and simple moments turned extraordinary.“

“In Tampa for a wedding. Staying at the Hard Rock. Visited the Sugar Factory with my Cousin to get some drinks. We were greeted and served by both Taylor and Hannah “Banana”. Their personality and smiles were infectious. They were both very personable and knowledgeable about the items on the menu. Hannah made a killer Mud Slide Martini. Was definitely a positive experience. I definitely think both Taylor and Hannah should be praised. You can tell they enjoy their job and interacting with the guests and visitors. “This place looks like a little dive when you drive by, it is. Like the good kind. The menu is simple but is made to order by two ladies who you would want as a grandmother and a sister.. “I’m a bit torn writing this review. The drinks were excellent, and Joe the bartender was absolutely amazing; attentive, nonstop, and handling a busy rush with ease and picking up where his counter parts lacked. Every drink was consistently perfect, and his service truly stood out.

Unfortunately, my food experience didn’t match the service. I was served a steak that tasted spoiled, which was disappointing and took away from what could have been a great visit.

“The wings were crisp and flavorful, I had the buffalo hot style. The service was great. She was attentive but not hovering and I never waited long for anything. The manager would stop by to ask how everything is and to talk football. It was the college championship game. All in all a great sports bar and dog friendly too. (Outdoor seating for dog parties).“

“We love the Noodle Bar and eat there anytime we have out of town guest that want to go to the casino. On the weekend, there can be quite a long wait because there is minimal seating, but the service is good, the food is great and it comes out really quick. Highly recommend.

“The food and views were superb. The waiter was very nice but the reason why I didn’t give 5 stars is because it’s a pet peeve of mine for a restaurant to add the tip when only 2 people are eating. Compounding that was the waiter didn’t tell me the tip was included in the bill. This is not right. They need to change their policy or at least tell customers up front that tip is added to bill. Don’t say this is standard because we ho to restaurants 3-4 times a week and I have rarely seen tips added to a couples bill but if it is, it’s told upfront!“
