“A wonderful experience enhanced by Zoey who was an outstanding frontline ambassador for expected service and care. I ventured away from my usual Thai Bowl and tried the Big Italy with crispy chicken and spaghetti squash. Dang…was it good! Portions were sufficient, well-prepared and proudly served. This selection might just become my favorite at Cali’s. Granted, the staff consists of young adults who are, in the least, committed to going to work to earn their pay. Their attitude is encouraging. Some of the comments posted may not be fair. One has to allow opportunity for on-the-spot redress of an actual or perceived wrong (the menu is self-explanatory or can be clarified by simply asking). “We went to the location on Gandy Boulevard today. We were just passing by and saw it so looked up the menu online. At this particular location there was a kiosk to order and no indoor seating. There was a taphouse next-door that had outdoor seating so we grabbed a drink and ate our food there. The portions were large and everything was absolutely delicious! I was delighted to find vegan options. Everything was well seasoned and very flavorful! We would definitely come back again!“

“Went for Fathers Day dinner and wanted to try a new place. I have to say Yard House is a great place, the atmosphere is great, our waitress, Adrienne was great. Very friendly and attentive. She gave us a few suggestions to eat since it was out first time there. I ordered a ribeye, med-well, wifey ordered the salmon, and kiddo got chicken alfredo. Everything looked great coming oit, smelled amazing. But when I cut into the steak, it was well done! Thats why not 5 stars. Im glad it wasnt tough and chewy. Still tasted good, just a bit disappointed. Made the best and finished dinner. We will be back again!“

Door Dash picked up the wrong order, so I called and Mike (the owner) was able to get them to come back and deliver the correct one. Personally called me and also gave me loyalty credits to make up for the wait. I order from this location all the time, because my office is close by. “I’ve been going to the Brunchery since I was a kid and now I take my own kids there if that tells you how good this place is. The potatoes are amazing but so is almost everything else on the menu. The staff has always been super friendly and accommodating. It’s my kids’ favorite place to eat so I take them every chance I get!“

The pretzel was good, Caesar salad is HUGE with crostini that were also delicious. French dip and Mac and cheese both good, the smash burger and chicken with waffles equally delicious. “The Shrimp & Company is a quaint seafood restaurant on the corner of 7th Ave and 22nd St in Ybor City. If you have walked past it headed for the restaurant across the street then you have missed the best seafood you could eat in Tampa. You have to try their Florida or Louisiana Steam Pot, any of the seafood baskets and their shrimp stuffed mondongo. The food and terrific service is worth another trip to the small family owned restaurant. Don’t miss it!“

“The ambiance of the historic building was exceptional, I just would love to see more accents celebrating the history in the dining room. The wait staff were fantastic and attentive and the kitchen manager visited the table to explain substitutions, very appreciative of that. The food was where we just didn't meet expectations. We had numerous small plates and salad, granted we dined on a holiday so could've been an off night. The pork belly was very over cooked, nearly jerky, and the salad and mango shrimp just didn't do anything special. I heard they are modifying the menu which may be good, but the menu looked great, quality control before sending would make all the difference here. I'm hoping it was an off night and I'll try again at some point.“

I arrived early to meet friends and was invited to sit at the bar—something I usually dread since I don’t drink. The bartender approached, and I asked for something non-alcoholic. He suggested a non-alcoholic beer (not my thing), and then I mentioned ginger beer. His eyes lit up—he had one he hadn’t tried before: Bundaberg. What could’ve been an awkward wait turned into this fun, unexpected exchange as we both discovered the drink together. It came in a vintage-style bottle, and he treated it like it was the most interesting cocktail he’d ever poured. That kind of thoughtful hospitality changes everything. When my group arrived, the meal was incredible—rich flavors, creative pairings, and descriptions that made every dish sound like art. The food was phenomenal, but the way the evening felt was even better. As I left, the bartender smiled and said, “I found a case of that Bundaberg in the back—it’ll be here when you come back.” That moment captured the heart of Mise En Place: attention to detail, genuine connection, and simple moments turned extraordinary.“

“Went to Sugar Factory today for the first time and was pleasantly surprised on how good the food and service was. Titi was our server and she was great-forget about the casino - we'll go back to the Hard Rock Cafe and eat at the Sugar Factory 😁“

“Interesting walls adorn this fun and friendly restaurant. They offered a nice lunch special with a delicious cuban sandwich and homemade sausage and bean soup and their local beer to go with it. The International Shrine convention and parade was going on so there was a steady crowd. Our bartender Siobhan was efficient and friendly and tvs had the soccer game on. It was one of the best restaurants we tried in Ybor city.“

“This place looks like a little dive when you drive by, it is. Like the good kind. The menu is simple but is made to order by two ladies who you would want as a grandmother and a sister.. There are also some premade foods which looked pretty good. The food is real “homemade”. It appears to be geared toward working folk (me) and I loved it.“

“I've been a regular at Duke's Brewhouse every Thursday for quite a while, and Liv is hands down the best server I've ever had there. She's always friendly, attentive, and genuinely makes every visit enjoyable. She remembers the little details, checks in at the right times, and goes above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect.

To be completely honest, when Liv isn't my server, the experience just isn't the same. For me, the service drops to about a 2-star experience at best. That's not meant to put anyone down—it just highlights how exceptional Liv is. She sets the standard for what great customer service should look like.

Duke's Brewhouse is fortunate to have someone like Liv on the team. She's a big reason I keep coming back every Thursday, and she absolutely deserves recognition for the outstanding job she does.“

“We love the Noodle Bar and eat there anytime we have out of town guest that want to go to the casino. On the weekend, there can be quite a long wait because there is minimal seating, but the service is good, the food is great and it comes out really quick. Highly recommend.
