“A wonderful experience enhanced by Zoey who was an outstanding frontline ambassador for expected service and care. I ventured away from my usual Thai Bowl and tried the Big Italy with crispy chicken and spaghetti squash. Dang…was it good! Portions were sufficient, well-prepared and proudly served. This selection might just become my favorite at Cali’s. Granted, the staff consists of young adults who are, in the least, committed to going to work to earn their pay. Their attitude is encouraging. Some of the comments posted may not be fair. One has to allow opportunity for on-the-spot redress of an actual or perceived wrong (the menu is self-explanatory or can be clarified by simply asking). “We went to the location on Gandy Boulevard today. We were just passing by and saw it so looked up the menu online. At this particular location there was a kiosk to order and no indoor seating. There was a taphouse next-door that had outdoor seating so we grabbed a drink and ate our food there. The portions were large and everything was absolutely delicious! I was delighted to find vegan options. Everything was well seasoned and very flavorful! We would definitely come back again!“

“It was a bit of a wait given that the Lightning were playing, so it was expected. However, Kay, our server made sure to make our experience a great one. She was on top of all the orders, and her suggestions were on point. Everything we ordered was well prepared. Would definitely make it back again….game or no game.“

“My mom and I had a wonderful dinner at Bosc! We started with the whipped feta, which was delicious, and then split the grouper with Oscar crab special and the short rib dish. Both entrées were fantastic and made it hard to pick a favorite. We finished with the graham cracker apple cake, which was the perfect ending to the meal.

The atmosphere, food, and service all made for a great experience. Our server, Chris, was attentive, personable, and welcoming throughout the evening, and made sure we had everything we needed without ever feeling rushed.

Door Dash picked up the wrong order, so I called and Mike (the owner) was able to get them to come back and deliver the correct one. Personally called me and also gave me loyalty credits to make up for the wait. I order from this location all the time, because my office is close by. I arrived early to meet friends and was invited to sit at the bar—something I usually dread since I don’t drink. The bartender approached, and I asked for something non-alcoholic. He suggested a non-alcoholic beer (not my thing), and then I mentioned ginger beer. His eyes lit up—he had one he hadn’t tried before: Bundaberg. What could’ve been an awkward wait turned into this fun, unexpected exchange as we both discovered the drink together. It came in a vintage-style bottle, and he treated it like it was the most interesting cocktail he’d ever poured. That kind of thoughtful hospitality changes everything. When my group arrived, the meal was incredible—rich flavors, creative pairings, and descriptions that made every dish sound like art. The food was phenomenal, but the way the evening felt was even better. As I left, the bartender smiled and said, “I found a case of that Bundaberg in the back—it’ll be here when you come back.” That moment captured the heart of Mise En Place: attention to detail, genuine connection, and simple moments turned extraordinary.“

“I’ve been going to the Brunchery since I was a kid and now I take my own kids there if that tells you how good this place is. The potatoes are amazing but so is almost everything else on the menu. The staff has always been super friendly and accommodating. It’s my kids’ favorite place to eat so I take them every chance I get!“

“The Shrimp & Company is a quaint seafood restaurant on the corner of 7th Ave and 22nd St in Ybor City. If you have walked past it headed for the restaurant across the street then you have missed the best seafood you could eat in Tampa. You have to try their Florida or Louisiana Steam Pot, any of the seafood baskets and their shrimp stuffed mondongo. The food and terrific service is worth another trip to the small family owned restaurant. Don’t miss it!“

“I usually have pretty low expectations for restaurants attached to hotels, but Taste in Tampa definitely surprised me. I only had the wings and cocktails, but both were absolutely worth it.

The wings had really good flavor on their own, so I’d actually recommend getting the sauce on the side. They honestly didn’t need much added to them.

The bartenders were all great… friendly, welcoming, and made the experience enjoyable. Jeanette especially made some really good drinks and took great care of us.

“When my wife and I go somewhere, we like to research local eateries. Gaspar's caught our attention as it was local and looked fun. To our appreciation, it was both!
We arrived around 10:30 and were told we could sit and wait for lunch, as it started at 10:45. Odd lunch time, but hey, we weren't complaining as we were brought two house beers. Can't be drunk all day if you don't start in the morning, right?
When we were able to order, we decided on some beignets and the Devil Crab for appetizers. The Long Pork Sandwich and a 10 spot of wings, with half Jagermeister and half Kickin' Korean BBQ, were our mains.
The apps came out and the Devil Crab was amazing! Loaded with Crab meat and just fried enough. The beignets were nice as well.
The pork sandwich was great - juicy and delicious. The wings were lacking. The Jager wings were just sticky and bland while the Korean sauce was like a slightly spicy BBQ. Meh...
Overall, we had a great experience. Our server was cool and the place itself was lively. We would try something other than the wings...“

“I've been a regular at Duke's Brewhouse every Thursday for quite a while, and Liv is hands down the best server I've ever had there. She's always friendly, attentive, and genuinely makes every visit enjoyable. She remembers the little details, checks in at the right times, and goes above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect.

To be completely honest, when Liv isn't my server, the experience just isn't the same. For me, the service drops to about a 2-star experience at best. That's not meant to put anyone down—it just highlights how exceptional Liv is. She sets the standard for what great customer service should look like.

Duke's Brewhouse is fortunate to have someone like Liv on the team. She's a big reason I keep coming back every Thursday, and she absolutely deserves recognition for the outstanding job she does.“
