When we first walked in, the seemed to be completely empty, but people were actually in covered booths along the side of the restaurant, which was nice for some privacy. The Rice Box in Sarasota is a fantastic choice for takeout if you’re craving well-executed, flavorful Pan-Asian dishes. Our order included a Crab Rangoon appetizer, which was perfectly crispy on the outside with a creamy, delicious filling.
For mains, I had the Tofu in Bourbon Sauce, while my friend enjoyed the Three Meat Fried Rice—both were excellent. The flavors were spot on, and the food arrived exactly as we ordered it.
Portion sizes were generous, easily enough for two meals per person, making it an outstanding value for the price. Everything was well-prepared, fresh, and delicious, with no mistakes or missing items—a rarity for takeout!

“I don’t typically make food reviews, but I will say this is worth it. The food here is phenomenal. When I finished eating,I was completely stuffed and hardly made a dent in my food. I have at least three meals worth of food left over and I got everything for around $18. The service is relatively fast. I only waited about 10 minutes, which is good because I don’t really have time on my lunch break. 10/10 service and I will definitely be back.“

“Prices have changed so the online menu has the wrong prices. But the food, five stars! I always get the diet chicken with vegetables so I can share with my little chihuahua. But today I also ordered Pepper Steak so we will have super for a couple days. Delicious! The pepper steak was absolutely the best I've ever had. And the diet chicken and vegetables was amazing as well. There was a nice variety of vegetables and everything was cooked perfectly. I wish they put lots of onion in...that was my only complaint. I will definitely put this on my list of places to order from. Even my finicky little dog ate every bite...and that is high praise from her. lol Great food. I highly recommend it.“

“I've checked off another local Chinese restaurant from my list of local eateries.

At hand China Taste is another Chinese restaurant just like all others in the area. Don't get me wrong, every one is different from the other.

Disclaimer: I always order three lunch combos to get a sense of how the food tastes.

For this lunch I ordered beef and broccoli, pepper steak, and stir fry veggies in brown sauce with steamed white rice. The other lunches came with pork fried rice. Two came with an egg roll and one with egg drop soup.

Everything was really good. Plenty food in each container. The egg rolls were pretty typical and I was told by my mother that the egg drop soup was the best she had ever had. The egg drop soup wasn't as golden in color as most but it was properly thick and rich with flavor.

I definitely recommend coming for the egg drop soup.
