“I've only ever visited this location's drive through for breakfast but have always had a good experience. The people are actually friendly and seem like they care. The food is always fresh and I appreciate that they use real eggs.“
“Ordering was straightforward and quick. The food was prepared in a short amount of time, and an employee brought it out without any issues. Everything was warm, tasted good, and all of my additional requests were followed correctly.
The ambiance was also pleasant, with a generally clean environment and decent music playing.
Overall, this is a good location that I would recommend.“

“I want to take a moment to thank the staff at the Lockwood and University location. They always have been spot on with my orders and have stood out as a fast food location that my wife and I frequent for their attention to detail in getting the order exact every time. This current visit, I accidentally ordered a quarter ponder for my wife instead of a two cheeseburger meal. It was my mistake ordering and they still corrected it for me and were very polite and quick to assist me. This was something I am very pleased McDonalds did for me and I don’t know if other employees would have gone out of their way to help me like this staff did today. Thank you McD’s on Lockwood!“
“Yesterday, between 9 PM and 5 AM on January 1st, I was picking up orders for DoorDash at this store and I saw how crowded it was.
At one point, it was clear that there were only two girls in the kitchen, a guy at the drive-thru window, and a woman at the front counter, whom I'm here to praise. It seemed like she was working alone, only receiving some support from the team; it looked like she was the one in charge the whole time, and I was very impressed with her efficiency and friendliness despite the extreme crowd. She also had a very good memory because when we arrived to pick up the order, she already had an idea of whether she was preparing that customer's order or not.
Anyway, congratulations!!! Give this woman a raise!“
“Depending on the manager they may charge you for sauces and water even when you order a meal. I went the other night and I guess he is a new manager but he put my large drink for my meal on a happy meal and put my chocolate milk on a regular meal. So I was charged 2 dollars more. Then tried to argue with me about what he did. I don't know how he even did that.“
“I visit this McDonald's for breakfast often. I use the mobile app now for every order. The drive-thru is normally quick and I get on my way without delay. This location gets the orders right and I appreciate it. Would recommend this McDonald's location in the Sarasota area without hesitation.“
“We've been to many McDonald's restaurants. This one, on Bee Ridge Road is one of the best. Food served hot. I'm particular about the Fries. These were Perfect! Customized some items, food and drinks exactly as we requested. Friendly, fast service.“

2 pumps liquid sugar
2 shots of espresso
A really easy drink to make
I get the same thing every time, and depending on my day I will make 3 stops for said coffee.
But for some reason when I go to this location they never get it right. I have never had a coffee made the way i order it. So thats why the 3 star

“McDonald's isnt what it used to be when I was young, but this particular store has made me a fan again.
I will usually stop in everyother weekend through their drive through (my occasional guilty pleasure). A couple of weeks ago, as I was being handed my food through the pickup window, I'd asked the young man if he were the Manager (he was dressed for the part) and when he replied that he was, I gave him a very extended compliment on how impressed I've been, every time I came through. The food quality was much better than others in town. I specifically mentioned this to him, and explained that there was another location one mile from my house, and I will always go two miles out of my way to this one.
The difference is obvious. This Manager is not only good at his job, but he is obviously doing his job very well. From the final package (the food) back to entering the drive thru, to the crew members, with politness and even being attentive.
Sorry that I dont remember the mangers name, but if he is reading this, he'll remember this breif conversation we had 😉“
