50 Best Mexican Restaurants in Tampa

“It was my First time eating here and it was so good! The portion sizes overall were a great size for the price. Around $55 with Uber eats Texas delivery charges, and driver tip. I had the Birria quesadilla, the large portion of rice, Chips with queso, Tres leches cake, and the Horchata for my drink. I was hungry and I wanted to get the full experience of what the restaurant had to offer. Leftovers are always a bonus! For my first order, I ordered for delivery on Uber Eats. Despite being delivery, Everything was hot, fresh and well packaged. I will say the Birria quesadilla was a little soggy on the bottom, but it tasted fantastic! Some of the best Beria I’ve had. The queso tasted homemade, flavorful, fresh and delicious! The portion of the tortilla chips, took up an entire brown paper bag full! (in my opinion when I order Mexican food for delivery and I see a big brown paper bag stuffed completely full of seasoned tortilla chips, that’s how I know the rest of the food is going to taste amazing!) I love the small detail of the seasoned chips. It’s like putting sprinkles on a cupcake. It’s not needed, but it makes it better. Everything was flavorful and well seasoned. My Birria quesadilla came with small sides of guacamole, sour cream, and pico de gallo. Even though the food didn’t need it at all and was flavorful and delicious without it. A few small critique I can give is that Tres Leche cake piece that I got was extremely small unfortunately, which I wasn’t expecting. It was only three small bites if that, but it was really delicious! My second critique is, I wish they offered a bigger cup of Horchata like they have the larger option for the Rice. Horchata is one of my favorite drinks, but honestly I can’t complain too much because everything including the Horchata and Tres leches cake was so good! I guess my only complaint is that there wasn’t more Horchata and Tres Leches cake. The slightly soggy texture of the Birria quesadilla I contributed to the fact that it was delivered still hot in a Styrofoam container, & I don’t consider that the restaurants fault. if I was giving a rating I would still give it a 10 out of 10. 100 percent! I will be eating here again, these small critiques that I have would not even change my rating! And I have leftovers so there’s some bonus points!Delicious food with overall large portions for the price!You guys did a great job! “I had been meaning to try this place for a while, and I went this week and it did not disappoint. I was greeted immediately and the gentleman behind the counter was so, so kind. I really like how the menu is written on a chalkboard style wall! The food was exceptional. I ordered chips and guacamole and the guacamole comes in a convenient container that you can take home. You get a really generous portion! The chips are also homemade and fresh. I also ordered the burria tacos and they were amazing. I’ll be back very soon and will probably be coming here weekly!“

Laura tacos - yep, that's the name of the food truck here in Tampa. One of those little places you could easily not know about..... the convenience store it's next to is nothing pretty to look at but their tacos and their other food too is really quite delicious. 6 bucks, two tacos. Is across from the North Tampa Branch library off of Busch and North Boulevard, right near Chamberlain high School (just posted this on Facebook).“

“A humble fast casual restaurant with really nice staff and the best chicken quesadilla I've ever had! This is no Americanized menu. There are tacos, quesadillas, sopes, and tamales, and each one looks better than the last. You can even have a bowl! The tortilla was crispy, the mozzarella cheese was generous, and the chicken was delicious! The chicken was chopped into small pieces, sauteed in something incredible, and had fresh cilantro sprinkled on top. Whenever I'm close by, I'll be eating here and trying their sopes next!“

Definitely can see this spot becoming a bigger operation soon, even though it's been around the same since I've been going they have a little spot you can sit and eat at now. Incredible birria. The queso birria taco was one of the best I’ve ever had. I have lived in LA and San Diego and searched out the best birria I could find there, and few were ever this good. Tons of meat in one taco which was super tender, melty cheese to perfection, crispy tortilla 👏👏👏👏

The consume was thick and not too oily, ans with just the right amount of spice. I could have drank it it was so flavorful.

“My daughter found this awesome place ,as we were planning a trip to Tampa for Mother's Day. What a find! Atmosphere was great, service staff was fabulous, and the food unique & delicious! We just went again because we wanted to share the experience with our boys who were visiting. Again , everything was delicious. I had the sweet potato tacos with pomegranate & oh my, soooo good. Cilantro rice & Esquite was delish & drinks were great! The whole family loved it!“
