“😋Had a great experience at Calypso Sur in Tavernier. It's a small place with a laid back, super casual vibe and the food is extra special .... so good! We had the She Crab soup (delicious), the Hogfish Tacos and Hogfish sandwich (both great, super fresh and perfectly seasoned) and a Jalapeno Steak sandwich (loaded with yumminess). The owner/chef (who has received many cooking award trophies that were displayed) took care of us this Tuesday night on his own ... and we felt special in his "house"! We left with "Wow, that was awesome!" Don't be offset by the small setting. While we were there an officer came in to order. You know if the local first responders are there, it's got to be good! Thanks!“

“Of course the seafood is downright delicious at Captain Craig’s Restaurant. What was unexpected is the sublime homemade key lime pie. It is the real deal, complete with a beautiful toasted meringue topping on this glorious rendition of this classic dessert. If you have no room for dessert, I recommend ordering a piece of the pie to go.“

“Quaint little hole-in-the-wall, hidden off the South-bound side of US1 at a Marina in Tavernier, dockside, lots of boat traffic. Parking is vast, but spread out and could be a long walk to the dock. Kinda tight inside with only 3 tables for two and 3 tables for four, not good for little kids at all. Covered outside seating is several tables for two or three, and several big picnic tables for larger groups.
Large selection of of various foods, sides, appetizers, drinks and beer/wine. No liquor.
All the food we had was delicious, fairly priced, large portions, beer was <$4 a bottle.
Table service was always kind, correct, and responsive. And English speaking too.“

“We were on a family vacation and tried the Shrimp Shack after a suggestion from Capt Jake who took us offshore fishing. We took the Mahi we caught to the Shrimp Shack and they prepare the most delicious dishes you will find in the Keys. We actually came back a second night as well. They prepared the fish 7 or 8 different ways for us and each way was phenomenal. Not only was the fish good, the service was excellent. The food arrived quickly and we really felt taken care of…. like family. The restaurant is not crowded so there is no wait time. There was no water view but if you can get past that, you will have the best food around. We tried several other restaurants in the area but none were as good. The photo was just the first visit. The second visit we had the fish prepared completely different. Check out the portion of the menu labeled “Hook and Cook” for all of your options.“

“They were very packed during the first day of of the lobster event where it was 20 bucks for the meal. They were so busy and and the workers continue to keep up with the very hot heat. This was my family‘s first time going out there. We going out there again on Sunday because we enjoyed the music and the food was great. The pricing for the lobster meal was a good price.“

“Doc’s Diner Key Largo 4-30-25 Stooped by for breakfast on Wednesday about 7:15 am. They were not that busy and we got a table right away. Our Waitress brought the coffee fast and we ordered our food right there. The waitress was very nice and so friendly and checked on us many times. I ordered the Country Fried Steak with Sausage Gravy, Hash Browns and 2 eggs over easy. My wife ordered 2 Eggs over easy with Toast. My dad ordered Sausage Gravy over biscuits. Our ordered came out fast and looked very good. All our food as hot and tasty. When we were done, we were full as they piled up our plates with plenty of food. I give this place a 4 out of 5 stars. When I’m in Key Largo I will not hesitate to go back here. Make sure you stop by as when we left it was full of locals. “I can’t speak highly enough of our experience. Party of 6 with fresh catch prepared by Chef Michael. He prepared our Wahoo 3 ways; sashimi and two hot preparations served with rice. All being self proclaimed foodies, not one person at the table denied it was one of the best meals of our lives! We did enjoy two of their sushi rolls and they were also fantastic! “Visited Sharkeys this past Sunday and had a great time. It’s like a sports dive bar that had TVs around the whole place which was great for us since we came to watch the UM game. I will say our visit started off a bit crazy cause our server had to throw people out for yelling and cursing at her about a tv she couldn’t change. From what we heard the people wanted her to change a tv but another table was watching it and they were there first so she couldn’t change it. And I totally get wanting to watch the tv closest to you but the game was on two other TVs and it’s not the servers fault that someone else wanted to watch something different. Other than that our food and drinks were amazing and our server was very nice and attentive even with all the craziness that happened. We ate wings, chicken sliders, and the Baja bowl with shrimp and everything was delicious. I would definitely come back to watch some more football games.“
