Macitas always went to Cutler Bay their original was a family owned and operated awesome traditional Colombian restaurant and baker!
Until about a year ago sold. Now it's definitely NOT Colombian although they still advertise themselves as so! Food is ok some type latam .
The actual locale it's fine. I can't recommend anything anymore I was client for almost 20 years loved them mainly in take out and fine in.... So sad miss the original Macitas ... was one if the only housemade feel Colombian

Ademas demasiado fuerte la salsa, pasada de sal y de soja . Reconsideren su "chef" y proveedor de carne. “Recoveco is by far my favorite restaurant in Miami. I am shocked they don’t already have a Michelin star, because it is at the level. They have a seasonal menu which I love because it changes often, stays fresh, and everything they come up with is spectacular. From the first plates (papaya salad for the win), main dishes, THE DESSERTS, the service, this place is always on point. The last time we dined there our server, Michelle, was an absolute angel. So knowledgeable, kind, welcoming, she really made the experience that much better. Recoveco is our date night spot for life!!“

“We had a pleasant experience at this location. I went simple with a caeser salad with salmon. Salmon was cooked perfectly and caeser salad tasted great. Others at the table had the trout and butterfish and said it was a good option as well. They have a gluten free menu with various options as well“

“Chicken wings are the whole wing, not the halve wing that you get from other places and they call them 1 wing. Here you get the whole wing. The Gyro is great be it the pita or the dinner. Chicken tenders my sons say is the best they have had. The prices are better than BK stake house and than the Golden Arches Supper Club for freshly cooked food. Quality food at reasonable prices. If you like to have takeout that is good food and won't brake the bank Yellow Tail Sub & Grill will be your place to go to.“

“We had a wonderful experience. After reading some other reviews we realized it might be hit or miss. It was a hit. We were welcomed by Michelle, choosing inside or outside seating. Even though it was Saturday September 2nd, we opted for outside. With a fan we never even broke a sweat, the weather was perfect at 6PM. The views of the water are breathtaking. David, our server, started is off with a martini and a water melon based drink. The bar tender matched the perfect flavors. As summer gave us the option for Miami Spice we started with the tuna ceviche. Absolutely delicious, melt in your mouth. Since we do not eat meat, the Branzino was out go to. Perfect presentation cooked over a saffron risotto. Delicious. I also had the Noma salad, with baby green, all crisp freshy cut veggies was the perfect healthy addition. The views: perfect, the service: perfect, the food: perfect. All we wondered is why we were even able to get a table. All around experience was great and we will definitely be back to sample other items on the menu.“

“A family friend recommended it to us, and we were not disappointed at all. Though I only had the chance to eat the pollo a la brasa, there are many signs indicating that this restaurant is so amazing. The presentation on the many dishes is unique and nicely sized. You can see that through many of the pictures. When the lomo saltados came passing by, it was extremely fragrant and easily spread throughout the restaurant. It is such a shame that I did not get a chance to try any other dishes. We did at least try that most delicious pollo a la brasa, which is one of the best I have ever tried. It is so juicy and magnificent in so many ways. I absolutely look forward to coming back in the future to try many other dishes!

Pollo a la brasa 9.6 - Definitely one of the most delicious I have ever tried, especially in Florida. It is not perfect, but it is beautifully juicy and roasted. In fact, it is one of the juciest chickens I have ever eaten. The marinade beautifully penetrates deep in the chicken and gives the skin such a perfect color. The juice actually made the skin not so crispy, but that's fine because it is full of flavor. I prefer crispier and flavorful skin, but this is still top tier. The only slight disappointment is with the cooking method. I did not pick up any smokiness anywhere on the chicken. There is plenty of flavor but no smoky taste. It is evident that they don't use traditional wood-fired ovens, so you can't get that specific and important flavor. The flavors are more focused on a traditional soy sauce and spices-based marinade but does it so well. The fries were standard and not special, which is common. It did not have the best sauces to accompany the chicken though. I have tasted some really savory sauces before. Regardless, this is still one of the tastiest pollo a la brasas in Miami. If it just had more smoky Peruvian wood-fired flavor, it would easily make #1 in Florida.

Picarones 10/10 - Super delicious and cooked to perfection. Crunchy, beautiful and not too sweet sauce, and nicely sized. This is how you do picarones. Supposedly, these are the only picarones in town that serve them very freshly made and fried. Given the taste, texture, and time it took to cook, it definitely appears to be true. Definitely just like in Peru and maybe the best one we have tried. It is the perfect closing to an extravagant flavor journey from the food here. I absolutely recommend this as a dessert and please eat it fresh!“
