With the Handroll format, it’s hard to cover up poor quality fish, as there are no filler ingredients such as cream cheese, avocado etc. to cover things up. While I love those ingredients, they don’t let the fish shine. The handroll format, much like nigiri and sashimi, truly honors the fish you are eating. Each roll is so fresh, with crispy nori and delicately prepared quality fish. I generally don’t care for nori, but at Mosonori, I LOVE it. The freshness really does matter. The flavors in each roll are perfectly balanced, in my opinion most don’t even need any additional soy sauce.

I’ve eaten at quite a few other handroll spots across the country that are doing the same kind of dining experience, and none have come even close to Mosonori.

The handroll sets offer great value for impressive, quality fish at reasonable prices. The staff are always friendly and welcoming.

The vibe is calm and quiet, so it is probably best to be a smaller party looking for a relaxed evening. However, it is still suitable for both a quick chill lunch, or a nice dinner out with your partner and/or friends. I have shown up in a baseball cap+ shorts and tee, but also in dress attire, and have never felt out of place.“

“Terrific dining experience. Food was excellent from start to finish. The hotcakes were unbelievable and we enjoyed the warm salsa. Our server, Jay, did a fantastic job. He was knowledgeable about the menu and restaurant. Gave great suggestions. He was courteous and friendly. It’s been a long time since I had a server do such a good job that really added to the overall dining experience.“

“We headed ourselves to Black Coffee Sunday morning to try out the new place in town. We’re brunch lovers so the bar is settled very high, let me tell you this place did not disappoint at all when all I can think of is “how to rate this place just 10/10” Starting off with the amazing service everyone there is willing to give, the owner he’s one of a kind and the fact that he was assisting the tables it is top notch! We had to order a few things from the menu since everything was so appealing. We did fresh juices (I do recommend the carrot orange 10/10) We did non-alcoholic lavander mimosas 100/10 For brunch we did Madame Croque Sandwich, Steak Omelette and Salmon Benedicts. Everything was mouthwatering, however the real showstopper was the grilled lettuce caesar salad. As a chef i’ve never tasted a salad so rare yet so flavorful before, so if you’re a salad person this is a MUST for you to try. 1000/10 wanted to take some home but that’s one of those plates to eat at the moment. Will definitely be repeating this place soon!!“
