“Had not been in a really long time. I wanted some soul food today and they did not disappoint. The food is kept VERY HOT. Overall cleaniness of the restaurant is good. I enjoyed everything on my plate. I had 2 pieces of meat and 3 sides and paid $12.80. The only thing I would say is that you don’t know how much you’re going to pay until you’ve already made your plate , and there’s no prices displayed but my food is usually $15 and under. The owner/manager is always nice. The macaroni and cheese was perfect. I’m gonna have to start back coming regularly! This food states like old school soul & R&B. It tastes like a grandma that’s the backbone of the family. It tastes like after church. It makes me wanna dance. Worth every dollar. I wanna kiss the chef. (Not literally)“

“Excellent and authentic southern food. We had the pork chops and the fried chicken, along with collard greens and mac & cheese, and it was delicious! Not much of a dine-in place, but definitely a must try "to-go" while in Athens.“
